I like that i can now afford the Daily Bugle!
-
Only one i'm buying two of is the Girls Bathroom. Then I can have a Harry, Ron, Hermione and a Crabbe, Goyle and Cat Hermione figures. I also plan to use the shell of the set to recreate something akin to the Chamber of Winged Keys set from the early 2000s to add two more of the tasks below the Fluffy's Coridor set.

So, the whole June and August waves is just completely out the window now I guess? Turns out everything is June wave!

I'm thinking that I might get a second bathroom set for the external build to place down under the fluffy set. Will then attach some vine parts from the roof under the trap door for the devils snare. Underneath I will add a "Queen minifigure on a 6x6 black and white grid and use the external build of the toilet to moc a chamber of winged keys. My thought is that it will be very, very similar in layout to the original Chamber of Winged Keys set. Not quite in movie order, but will be very nostalgic for the old set. The bathroom exterior will be much more visually appealing at the bottom than lockharts classroom and you can then keep the classroom up the top. In my mind this seems perfect and should be very easy to achieve. I must admit I am highly surprised how many people like the chess set. Personally I think it is one of the most ugliest LEGO sets i've ever seen! The Chess pieces are the most awful cobbled together garbage i've ever seen. Also the Knights WILL fall apart. The are held together by one measly stud! Going to be worse than Unikitty from LEGO movie. You touch them and their head fall off. Chess thoughts is personal opinion. Happy for those who see this differently.

Wasn't it last year that there was a Dumbledore coming out with a book and in the initial pictures everyone thought he was wearing a brown outfit? Then when it was released it turned out it was the dark red all along. The colour of this brown reminds me of exactly the colour of that leak last year. Just can't seem to find pictures of it now to compare. Does anyone else remember this? Even if it is slightly different, think he is still similar enough that I wont be trying to track him down.

That is fantastic news. Glad to not have to track any figures down. Thank you for sharing.

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
chris6507 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hi all. Haven't really been following the thread as the last few years of Marvel has been terrible. But sounds like this year is looking pretty fantastic. Just wondering has it been revealed the price and/or date of the Daily Bugle DLC? Set sounds awesome, but just trying to work out if financing and timing will make it a possible buy or not. -
What browser do you use? I don't know about others, but Google Chrome translates the whole page for me automatically.

Just that set and bricklink it seems!
-
Dont see it as unpopular! I agree! But i think we have very similiar taste! I constantly agree with all your comments 100%
-
Lol. Ive been looking at these August thinking "yay! Ill have spare money!"
-
@Guyon2002couldn't have been more right in explaining the August wave sets. Builds seem okay, but very polarising opinions.
-
Since when do sets steal so many exclusive parts from the CMF?
-
Yes!!! Doesnt look like any minifigures in it either! These ones are so easy to pass on.
-
Definitely going to be doing some bricklinking for figures on this one. Think the blurry pictures were closer to enticing me.
-
Glad some people like these big figs. But i just keep wondering what drugs the LEGO team was on when they came up with this idea. Never thought there would be such an easy set to skip in this theme. And with no minifigures. Absolutely nothing to miss out on.

I agree. I realised after i wrote my first statement I had read it wrong. But what i had said about our reaction was true so i just left it. Basically i think there are two things that make people happy... One is an amazing set with amazing figures and two is an easy pass. If you start to move anywhere within that spectrum is when people start getting cranky.
-
I thought most people seem pretty chill about it all. A couple seem happy with the idea. Most are just happy at the idea of potentially saving money. Havent seen many angry at all. What reaction were you thinking people would have? Sorry, misread your statement. Think "got" was supposed to be "not". I think because its an obvious think people dont want, they can be happy to save money. When its a mediocre set that they kind of want, but not great its more salty because they are forking out money for something they arent that satisfied with.

I'll be saying hi to my old friend Bricklink! I'm a bit worried some of these weird sets might have some awesome figures plonked in. For my own sake, hoping nothing to amazing in the more expensive sets. Although I do realise that's a little selfish... but can't help it! To be honest... I think i'll be quite happy with the golden trio. Don't think I need to get everyone. Ninjago was a bit rough as it was kind of either all the ninja or none of the ninja. I didn't want the sets and they're really expensive on bricklink. But I know i'm getting the sets with the golden trio and that will be enough for a little anniversary display.
-
Well if you're still happy!!! I shall be happy for you then!!! I'm happy on the saving money front, but still would have been nice to have some excitement spread out a little more.
-
Have you really known about a lot of these sets since September last year (read something in an earlier reply)? That's an insane amount of time to have to try and keep it to yourself! Can't have been easy!
-
Just my thoughts... but I think they should have just done what they did with Hedwig and insert one or two "different" sets in along with the others. This satisfies all parties, rather than having playsets and then whatever all this other stuff is.
-
Ouch... Feeling a little sorry for you. I thought I was going to be a completionist, but then came the microscale Hogwarts, Brickheads and Hedwig. Now i've accepted i'm not going to be completing Harry Potter which now makes it easier and easier to say no to things. My biggest regret is getting the moments sets. Other than McGonagall I really don't like them at all. @Textorix You'll be relieved to know I didn't mistake Slovakia for either of those places, but I equally don't know where either of them are! Used to think I was good at Geography, but i'm only good at places i've been!

That's the one good things about this, is it seems like the year that Marvel has upped their game (Referring to Infinity Saga and supposed D2C), Harry Potter has dropped the ball. At this leaves money to go towards Marvel sets this year. Haven't bought any comic sets for a while because they've had a rubbish few years. *pats on the back* I feel your pain. Not nice to hear about a theme that HAD been doing so well. Also just notice you are from Slovakia and decided to look up exactly where it is. Quickly realised that I know nothing about east European geography!
