  1. My wallet would actually be quite happy with those suggestions!
  2. I've been having fun adding Wizards from other franchises into my Diagon Alley and have added Gandalf, Saruman, Radagast, Dr. Strange & Wong. Can anyone think of any other franchises that exist in LEGO with Wizards or more to the point specific Wizards from other franchises I might not have thought of? There was also the Wicked Witch from Wizard of Oz, but not really into adding green faced people to my alley! :-D
  3. I completely understand and respect your opinion on the subject even though it may be different to mine. But its also very clear in your comments that you are trying to put people down by using reflective questions with an intent to cause guilt in the same way a charity collector asks if you are happy for a child to go blind because you didnt donate to their cause. Everyone has different values that need to be respected regardless if they align with yours.
  4. The problem is when a figure is from a $400 set and you pay nearly $20 each for them (like I did with the D2C Jurassic Park figures) and then they come out in a $20 set. That does matter. It makes it a complete waste of money for something you thought you had paid a reasonable price for. I think we all just need a little ability to agree to disagree on this exclusive minifigure subject. I'm personally on the side of liking some exclusive minifigures. They do feel special, Its hard to explain, but I do feel something different towards my more exclusive minifigures from expensive sets as I only have a few and I feel lucky to have them. I play the pokemon games and I feel the same way about pokemon that i've gotten from events in the past. It's a special memento of something you were there for at the time. A different name, Colour, Move or pokeball was all i needed to be to make something special. Everyone can still get "that" pokemon, just not that slightly special variant that I was lucky to be there for. There will always be more exclusives to come for others in the future that will feel special to them for their own reasons. Sorry for my long post, and I'd appreciate if nobody attacks me for my opinion as I am not attacking anyone who has a differing opinion. Just trying to explain why a little exclusivity feels special to me. Also just want to add. I do not like exclusive "characters" only exclusive "figures/prints". Also, one last thing. Someone mentioned the 4 exclusives in Diagon Alley remaining exclusives.... but wasn't Malfoy one of them who is now coming in a Book?
  5. That's hilarious! I've got LEGO on basically every flat surface. On top of every bookcase, fridge, TV unit, In and on Display Cabinets. Even our dining table is home to the LEGO Roller Coaster. My problem is I keep seeming to hop onto the themes that never seem to end. I'm super excited about the prospect of a Gringotts for my Diagon Alley, but there is literally not a single surface in my home that can fit the any more than the current Diagon Alley. First world problems I guess! Just really hoping for a nice complete line up of characters and sets so it can all feel nice and complete and then they can start doing repeats in a different design/style. That would be my ideal scenario.
  6. I 100% agree with you. I would like to get all the main characters, locations etc and then be done. If it doesn't... we are all going to run out of space! Rofl.
  7. Nagini is also a Horcrux which we got in CMF series 1. So there's actually only 4 left. Ring, Cup, Locket and Diadem.
  8. Quick question for anyone who has any good ideas (and apologies if not the right board for this)... But I have my custom Seamus Finigan in his year 3 robes, but just cannot come up with a good idea for a good head for him. Does anyone have any suggestions or good ideas you've used yourselves? Just can't seem to come up with something I am happy with.
  9. I suppose the fact that the bell towers were one of the few sections of the castle that where decently represented in the previous iteration of the theme gives them some viability as well. Plus... I have just spent a fair bit of money on upgrading my old bell towers to match the new sets. So it's basically guaranteed they will be made now to ensure that I just wasted my money!
  10. Sorry, wasn't thinking... Explorer is the one I meant. But would love A Jeep too. :-)
  11. I bit that bullet last year! Didn't taste too bad though. Still think that set is one of the most disappointing sets of all time. Probably because everyone was hyping up the fact it would be the Jurassic Park visitor centre. But for me personally, I just don't like brick built creatures. Oh, and the lack of Jeep was a disaster! Lol.
  12. Does anyone know if the Herbology set has earmuffs as one of the spare parts with the set. Hoping there's a spare or two for my other custom figures. :-)
  13. I had to buy all 4 of the moments sets just to hit the threshold for the second GWP. Also had to buy a little Birthday Cake set too because Australia puts the GWP threshold so darn high. Had to spend $170 in Australia to get the car.
  14. I know we have had a million figures of the trio. But if I had to choose one! It would hands down be Hermione in the dress she wears to the wedding. Looks amazing in it in the movie. I'd probably even choose this over a completely new figure myself. No want... NEED!
  15. Thanks for that. Fun to read. A lot I either didn't know (don't know the layout that well) or didn't notice. But 100% agree with the pipe to the Mosa arena. That did my head in trying to understand how the hell that could possibly happen. Felt like I missed something. Watched it like 5 times before I decided it was just stupid! Rofl.
  16. Any examples of what you're saying come to you off the top of your mind? I obviously don't pay as close attention as you, so curious what aspects of them you feel aren't quite canon?
  17. Fair enough. :-) I personally loved them. Legends of Isla Nublar is in my top 2 favourite LEGO series. So really hoping for a little more. It's more the fact that I thought it was going to be available in August that has made the wait so hard. Never thought it would still be so narrowly released 4 months later.
  18. So excited for the new Camp Cretaceous series. Just can't believe I still can't find a way to watch Double Trouble without having to obtain a US credit card to watch it on Amazon. Still no word whatsoever on DVDs or anything in Australia. Tempted to buy the US DVD, but it'll probably be uploaded online before it gets here. Lol.
  19. I believe they are side walls that attach to the previous (i think) days fireplace. The mistletoe goes on the top side and the bars at the bottom clip to the fireplace. I believe there is supposed to be another one for the other side coming up.
  20. I know you need to take local economy and such into consideration, but for once, Australia is priced quite nicely. At a straight up currency conversion, it actually comes out a few cents cheaper than the USA prices. But I see what you mean. Again using current conversion rates, your prices are 20% higher. :-/ Personally I'm most excited about the newly coloured ear muffs in the hufflepuff set. I made a herbology Harry, Ron and Hermione from CMF Neville's but it's always bothered me that they didn't have ear muffs. Now I have a way of adding that to the figures. On the other side of it though, was really hoping we might get sprout without the earmuffs. But I guess you can't have everything.
  21. And Lucius Malfoy! There goes half the value of the Diagon Alley's figures. Lol. Apparently Lucius is in two books? What the Heck?
  22. You guys are all very nice about this fig. Lol. Looks nothing like Flitwick to me. Looks more like he wandered off the Hobbit set.
  23. I was thinking something a bit simpler along the lines of just the one solid building. But attached to the front you have a sliding structure with just a 1 brick façade that separates in the middle, you slide on half to the left and one half to the right and then you have the original facades sitting as buildings to either side and the Grimmauld place in the middle. It would be sitting I brick width back, but it shouldn't destroy the illusion too much I don't think. I think that's more than likely the most effort LEGO would put into this kind of play feature.
  24. Just going to point out, I know the circumstances were slightly different, but when the Hobbit movies were changed from 2-3 movies, LEGO still went ahead and released the Mirkwood Spider and Barrel sets a year ahead of the movie and labelled them as some kind of preview set. So it's not beyond the realm of possibility what you've said.
  25. Oh, okay. Lol. I'll take your word for it. I've only visitied it maybe a dozen times. Everybody seemed fine to me. But who knows. I haven't gone too far down the rabbit hole. Lol.
