Jurassic World 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
chris6507 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Freemaker Adventures is actually a REALLY good series. I thought it was fantastic. It was a really good story that I think if you removed the LEGO and comedy aspect would fit perfectly well into the Star Wars Canon. Just so you know there is an extra small series called LEGO Star Wars All Stars. It kind of covers the entire Star Wars saga, but has some great tie ins to Freemaker Adventures as well as adding something extra to the Freemaker Adventures. But I don't want to spoil it if you want to see yourself. As for what I will focus on, i've decided my two main themes are Harry Potter and Jurassic World. I tinker in Star Wars when there's something I really like. I'm trying to quit Ninjago, Marvel and DC because it's all costing too much time and space. What's wrong with the ride in the Trike set? That set was great for me because it combined two of my favourite things. My favourite Dinosaur is the Trike and I love theme park rides. So personally the set was an instant buy for me. Love that it adds the ride, the trike but also love the little sign that points to my little store and Gyrosphere rides as well. As for the Mech set, that was a skip for me. I just bricklinked the baby raptors! :-D Question... Has your son ever watched the Ninjago series? I think that series is fantastic, and there's plenty to catch up on if he hasn't seen it for when he runs out of star wars! -
I can't remember who said it a page or two ago, so can't quote. But i'm wondering with the LEGO video games, is there anyone else who actually preferred the grunts of the characters in LEGO games to the speaking ones? I found the games were a lot funnier before they started actually talking. The ones with original voice work are the next best to me, but I find by far the worst are the ones that have taken the lines straight from the movies such as the Lord of the Rings ones to be quite boring. But yeah, just wondering if there's anyone else preferred the old style of the games to the new ones (mainly referring to the video aspects, obviously the gameplay and graphics are better now)?

Probably can't afford it, but I would still buy that right now. Lol. That looks amazing!

Jurassic World 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

That's funny, because I actually think the Baryonyx and Triceratops sets were two of my favourites. Triceratops because I love the Dino and I also liked having another ride for my park. And I originally only bought the Baryonyx set for the Dino. But I ended up loving the set a lot more than expected. Personally aside from the Jurassic Park set, my least favourite wave was probably the 2018. I got most of the sets for the Dino's, but the sets themselves really don't excite me much. -
Jurassic World 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

But it is still something new to watch when there is barely anything being released these days. I would normally have 15 or so shows coming on in September, this year there is 3. lol. And that includes Camp cretaceous. -
Hogsmeade would sell like hotcakes though. As not only would you have the Harry Potter fans, but also all the Winter Village nuts! I have a friend that's not even into LEGO and she still buys all the Winter Village sets. It would be a double win for my wife as she is a Winter Village and Harry Potter nut! Finally got that sweet, sweet shipment e-mail!

Thanks for that. So kind of like a large room of requirement type set up then. Is that supposed to be Hermione next to harry? Looks more like Xenophilius. Lol. I don't know why, but even though logically it makes sense that It should feel incomplete without Karkaroff, I just don't really feel that way. Even though he has a relatively significant part in Goblet of Fire, he has just never stood out to me, always felt like a side character even more than Madame Maxine (I'm only a movie watcher, haven't read the books, so there might be something i'm missing). Although I will admit I would prefer to have had a Karkaroff over two Madame Maxine's.

There's definitely a long list of characters that could be made. But to me I will be satisfied as long as we get Rita, Crabbe, Goyle, Pomfrey and Narcissa before the theme ends (not at all hoping it to end). The rest would be great, these are just the ones I would feel incomplete without. I guess to me this would be my main roster complete and anything else would be bonuses. :-D Also... how do you use actual emoticons? Lol. This the one?

I'm pretty easy going, i'm happy with anything new and exciting. I'm in no way predicting we will be getting bell towers next year, just saying that I would like it if we did. I can't speak for others, and I am in no way a particularly die hard potter fan, but i've always been very familiar with the Bell Towers, even moreso than the Astronomy Tower to be honest, but that may be due to the fact that I owned the old LEGO Bell Towers long before I got more acquainted with the structure of Hogwarts (which has only been since the new wave has been released). But it does make me think though, that if they managed to be made in the previous wave where the Astronomy Tower was not, i don't see why they couldn't get a reincarnation in this series. Basically I just haven't written them off and would love them if they happen, but will love whatever else we get instead if we don't! :-D Question on your list, what are you picturing when you say the Malfoy Manor? Just curious as to a rough idea of what you think this set could look like/incorporate.

I 100% agree. Would absolutely love a larger more accurate version of 4867. Sounds like not everyone agrees, but it's the last actual segment of the castle I would really like to get. Maybe it's just more important to me as I want to replace my old ones. But yeah, it's on the top of my wishlist. But right up there with it as others have stated are things like Durmstrang Ship, Chamber of Secrets and Gringotts. Let's just hope it's not a one of the other situation and we get all of them eventually! :-) @Guyon2002, it's amazing just how much more potential there is in this series. Weird thing is that minifigure wise, it feels like we are getting pretty close to a full roster, but locations and sets. Feels like there's a lot more we could see.

Hopefully they shouldn't take any longer than 3 days. I ordered the Burrow online (as I thought it was a LEGO exclusive), they took over two weeks to send it, but it got here in 2.5 days.
-
Thanks for that. I think I might have ordered at 12:01 or 12:02 by the time I waited for the GWP to show up and entered my discount codes etc. Hopefully not too much longer! :-D

Any Aussies set progressed out of the warehouse yet?
-
29 of those pages are people talking about whether their order has shipped, tracking updates and when they got it! Rofl. Or just some of us still complaining our set still hasn't shipped yet! :-D
-
Is that a fact that they are retiring this year? That will indeed be interesting seeing them drop out of the marketing for the sets.

I'm not sure if i'm looking at the right picture or not, but in the layout with the clocktower behind the grand hall, isn't the prefects bathroom section between the two therefore leaving no connection points exposed? Correct me if i'm wrong, I could be looking at the wrong layout. But when you say it's common knowledge it will connect to the Prefects bathroom is there a specific reason these points would want to be together or is it just that, that is where a connection point is?

I would love to see the bell towers next. I've been holding off on buying Grey roofs to replace the sand green ones on my old Bell Towers. Never thought about it before, but considering the Slytherin common room has made it into several other waves of the series, it's interesting that Ravenclaw managed to get one before Slytherin this time. Now whether leak, prediction or a wish. Wondering what's the thoughts behind the Bell Towers connecting to the Mermaid Wall next to the clock tower? The official LEGO set up already has the Clocktower in the middle of the sets with no free connection point and the movie layout has the Clocktower just about as far away from the Bell Towers as you can get. So whether you are speculating or in the know, what is the logic of this specific connection point in the layout/grand scheme of things?
-
Just out of curiosity (and not selling mine. :-D), for those who are wanting to make Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw teams, how much would you pay for extra torsos/figures? I'm personally not looking at making full teams or anything, but I have spent $12 to buy capes for my two mannequins in the set! :-D I'll probably get the capes before the set! Haha. One other question i'm curious about, how many and which students have you all made customs of over the last couple of years? Personally my list including figures made, but not in basic uniforms i've made the following: Vincenct Crabbe - Gregory Goyle - Cedric Diggory - Dean Thomas - Neville Longbottom - Ginny Weasley - Fred & George Weasley - Lavender Brown - Blaize Zabini - Pansy Parkinson - Colin Creevey - Justin Finch Fletchley - Lisa Turpin - Leanne - Romilda Vane - Fay Dunbar - Patil Twins - Hannah Abbott (Before LEGO Made one) - Michael Corner Also done some of these in year 3, Herboligy and Quidditch robes too, but these are all the ones i've done in basic sweaters.

I'm still wishing that anything would ship from LEGO in Australia. Has anyone in AUS actually had their sets shipped yet?
-
Was yours a 30 box? Or it doesn't say?
-
For those who have Diagon Alley in hand, could you please let me know what exact colours the Quidditch robes are. Is it Dark Blue and Yellow? Just trying to figure out which capes to get! :-D
-
Hahaha. I wish they would send me an e-mail saying that ANYTHING had been sent out! :-D

I fortunately find it very easy to get CMF when they come out. Kmart's stock check online is very accurate, so when something is coming out I just check every morning until it shows in stock then race in store and it's either sitting on a trolley on the shop floor or I just ask a staff member to get them for me. So I happily went down and got all 16 plus extra Fred, George, Ginny, Griphook, Neville and Dumbledore. It's always so easy, but for some reason I still stress about it every series! :-D Well, that was from Kmart who is much more on the ball than LEGO. :-D My Diagon Alley still hasn't moved from the Warehouse! If only the Roller Coaster wasn't going to be a family Christmas present i'd have something to do this weekend. Lol. My 3 year old is so excited about it though. I said "Look at Dad's Roller Coaster". He Goes "It's so Cool!" then thinks about it for a second and goes "It be Keeyan's Roller Coaster too?"
-
Haha. I bought a LEGO Roller Coaster on Wednesday, It was shipped yesterday (Tuesday) at 2:20pm. Today (Friday) I got a text from Australia Post saying the item is coming today. 10 Minutes later the delivery driver rocked up at my doorstep. Another 20 minutes later I got a message from Kmart saying that my order was dispatched and it may take up to 24 hours for the courier to update their tracking! It all happened so fast and out of order, but very funny.

The Upside Down set is the only set I think at the minute that has White Faces. There are two white female faces, two white male faces and one brown male face. There is one other, but it has a beard, so no much use for students. I ordered two of each with my Diagon Alley Order.
