  1. Miller is insane no doubt about that! *checks* Ah, I see, good observation there. Still, we must find the identity of the red chick! It is, but in that comic he only throws an addtitonal coin, which is pretty lame really, in this he makes Two-Face go nuts on the floor, man that gave me the shivers when I saw it for the first time! Have you watched Heart of Ice yet? Speaking of DC animation, I just bought Superman: Doomsday, you seen it? Thanks....I think, how's your version coming? Thanks a lot for that comment! And speaking of ancient adventures, I'd really appreciate it if you put in a vote for me in the indy contest poll, unless you think I don't deserve of course , people actually read our superior ramblings? Freaky! Yes, it is our superpower: Offtopic Man and Spambox! It is so bad it is good, I'll even be tempted to buy it when it gets paperbacked. That's great, now run along and play with the other kiddies, the grownups are talking now! EDIT: What's up with the newcomers all of a sudden!? Batbrick Away!
  2. Hmmm, I feel.....angry! No! No! I feel....good Though I quite liked the "thrusting laser cannon" in svelte corps moc. I'm really interested in seeing how well the laser folds down in the actual set. Still, I was always a Shego guy. Did you watch the show? I loved it, such a brilliant take on spy cliches and supervillains without stepping into Dr.Evil territory Batbrick Away!
  3. I love you so much! Thanks! Batbrick Away!
  4. Looking forward to it, atleast I know someone worthy had the same thought as me Oh of course, naturally, with a "Temporal Quantum Megatron Watt" power I'm guessing? The volcano is great, but the prices are a little more thna I thought they'd be. Still, I'll get them all, especially Dr.Inferno, does anyone else think of Dr.Drakken when they see him or is that just me? Oh come on, there is so much resemblance there! Batbrick Away!
  5. Sorry for the late reply mate! I have the same problem, and most likely it will be worst next year as my collected themes next year will continue (Indy, Castle, Batman, Agents) and new ones will come. Oh well, hope you can get the batcave. Did you find the Two-Face set? It was down the bottom last time I saw, I'm going to the K-Mart sale tonight so hopefully... Oh that was shameful, it really was Batbrick Away!
  6. Thanks Icedrake, I'd like to see your Two-Face truck. Thanks, glad you like the spinning chopper blades! Ah yes, you have cemented yourself in Bat Lego Legend now, even ThePenguin is chipping in! Yeah, I just wanted a couple of tiny things for the spotlight, as you say nothing special, but might as well post it right? The white wheel arches came in the ambulance city set if you are interested, glad you like the van mod. The sub I am very proud of, it took longer than it appears it would. And the villain I've converted the truck for will kill you! :skull: Did you like the "mod of mocs" bit? I thought it was good, I like to keep improving things. Thanks, glad you like the new one, I wasn't sure on the snowski name to be honest, you caught me I've already improved it for the next batch too! Yes, the next mini vig might explain what keeps happening there Clumsy me, this has happened before hasn't it? Mine's cooler, but glad to see you had a different (and more inferior) idea, looking forward (kinda) to seeing it *cough* *Throws an electric eel at Batbrick* The Punster: Shocking, isn't it? Depends funnily enough, it changes under artist's interpretation, but I personally always liked that rare orange straitjacket from the 70's and occasional modern story. Anyway, thanks. Batbrick Away!
  7. Thanks everyone! I have more pirate sets than I thought I did, and I'm currently getting a medium sized vessel off my cousin which I will attempt to rebuild. For the momenty I have unfortunately no money to pursue the theme, though I do plan on some small to medium mocs on the subject. Islanders I love, almost more than pirates themselves, so lucky for me I have about three of them, and around ten pirates, and two conquistadors. Batbrick Away!
  8. Thankyou Adam. Though I didn't try to kill anyone last night, not quite getting the story there. Unless I WAS trying to kill someone but didn't know (OCC: Looking at you dragonator! ). That said, I am confused over Calvin, though he lied about me I have a feeling we are being misled by a more powerful force, and as such withhold my vote for now.
  9. Wait, so now Savril changes his story? Anyway, how did we take those pictures in the first place?
  10. "They were on there way to a funeral" Dr No Hearse chase "White wine with fish, I should've seen something there" From Russia with Love train battle. "No Mister Bond I expect You To Die!" 11. I don't get it, I'm not Lord Ash Anyhoo I voted for him last night, it was very hard for me as I believed him to be a good man and a friend, but now sadly it seems not. This is all I know of last night: Last night, as you were on your way back to you rooms, you were attacked from behind and hit in the head. You awoke as morning arrived with a terrible headache and a large lump on your head, beneath a rather large dent in your helmet. Nearby was a Greek shield, left lying in the corridor. I'm beginning personally to suspect Calvin, as Rotrigous (or whatever his name is) says now that we have cut off the head of the snake, lets kill its, er, body!
  12. Hey you Pirate obsessed Lego fans, recently I've become more and more interested in the concept of Lego Pirates. Having just built the Mayan Temple which was a slight quasi-Islander creation, I've decided to look further into the theme. Not to say I never like Lego Pirates of course, but I got some of my old figs out today and probably will start making a few mocs sometime. So basically I'm just posting to say I'm getting back into this theme, so most likely I'll be posting here a little more than usual, and saying hi to those who don't know me! Pirate Batbrick Away!
  13. Very nice, love the metropolis reference, and I wonder where Shwartz is peeking while looking up at his "crush" robot? Batbrick away!
  14. Wow! Thanks a lot! Who did the photoshop on the pic? It looks absolutely stunning! Batbrick Away!
  15. Thanks a lot KDog! I didn't experct you to be over here, thanks! Thanks for commenting svelte-corps, glad you like it! I agree the pine trees are out of place, when I get something better I'll be sure to replace them. And yes, all fertinlity idols make you preggers, glad you thought it was funny. I agree there needs to be a special compartment, I'll be sure to do that sometime, thanks for the suggestion, I'll be sure to use it. Thanks again. Thanks medib, happy you like the foliage. I'm very glad people are liking how it is built over the baseplate. I like your blood idea for the statue, gives me an idea, thanks! Thanks Errorist! I love Indy too, I grew up watching him religiously! But when it comes to Lego, Johnny all the way! His sets are better Thanks everyone for your comments! Batbrick Away!
  16. Thanks Jim Butcher, yes my setup will revealed eventually, but not for a while as I have yet to make some of the buildings. Thanks The Joker, but why the fedora? It haunts me! Haunts! Thanks friend, glad you like them, feel free to use the umbrella idea! Batbrick Away!
  17. Brilliant moc svelte-corps, i love your artifact and story, very original, and to make something entirely out of silver is very cool. The moc itself is wonderful, a little square but still great. The features you include in your mocs are great too, I love the alter that splits and can be removed. The chamber down below is also very nice, love the tan look of it with the growth as well. The brilliant touches like the skeleton in the hole and exit with foliage lift the whole moc in my opinion. The "stone henge" at the top is also very neat, a classic Indy location. Love the tree too, could we get a better shot of that? A very good story too, and great figs, I love the use of Poison Ivy torso, your definitely down for my vote so far. Batbrick Away!
  18. Good review, I got this set but it is pretty poor. The Batbuggy pretty much blows while the Mr.Freeze thing is an armoured shopping trolley. That said, a good selection of parts and good figs, Mr.Freeze is particularly useful. Batbrick Away!
  19. Thanks The Penguin, glad you like the U99, I think the improvements will definitely help you! Thanks, but please don't call my old work "very crappy", it's very inconsiderate especially since before these mods it was still well received. That said, you are wrong about the gyrocopter as most only have a seat and seatbelt to hold you in they are so small. Plus, gryocopter pilots have to be low because you realise their is a blade spinning above them. Thanks for your comments. Thanks, glad you like some of the stuff! Thanks, I'm glad to serve as an inspiration, modding it is easy and a fair bit of fun. Thanks for commenting svelte-corps, I'd be happy if you copied my ideas! I quite like the silver pieces on the whirlybat but I know what you are talking about, they do stand out. Speaking of buggies though, next Treat I have a REAL Batbuggy! Thanks BigT, nice ot see someone who likes th boat Thanks riddler, and thanks for giving credit to The Penguin. And more is coming... Thanks mate, I like the gyrocopter too, silly but fun! Thanks LuxorV, always nice to see you comment. Batbrick Away!
  20. I'm not really interested in seeing any figs frm that movie, especially since it is based on a series that essentially says "stuff you!" to the comics material. We wouldn't get blood on figs anyway, nor a Dracula as Lego is basing their line more on the mythos and Dracula would be very random. I would disagree, there are more sets this year than last year, and I'm seeing them fly off the shelves faster than the Indy sets where I live. Coupled with the game coming out this year should really boost its popularity. Also, Harry Potter failed because its dependency on a single location and movies grounded it too much while Batman doesn't have that. Yes, a carnival would be big with City fans. The bank as you say would be fairly easy for Lego to make but also very good for City fan, as a larger set it would be a good opportunity to introduce more characters. Gotta say, I'd love a DK fig, it might be possible as he doesn't have blood on his face or anything, and Lego have done scarred before. As for the other Joker, I can't stand him, so ugly and well, un-Joker like, I really hope the Lego license doesn't extend that way and since the series is now finished I don't think it will. Batbrick Away!
  21. , I'll have to remember that one! Batbrick Away!
  22. I agree with you good sir! This fellow is seeming suspicious to me, accusing people with no evidence.
  23. The one thing I'm not getting is how I'm a "for-sure" traitor? Calvin said last night he discovered I threw the armour when it was thrown this morning! But, if Lord Ash is revealed to be a traitor then I guess all will be answered.
  24. Hey folks and welcome to Bat Mocs'N'Mods Treat 4! Well Brainbox is back recently but i'm a bit late for a welcome back vig so I'll just say I'm so glad he's cut down on the awful punning. Today we have: 3 mods 3 Updations 2 Creations and another going away! Okay, here we go, as usual the Batmods are up first: Part 1 - The Mods: Arkham Spotlight: Blackened and improved spotlight as well as adding "Stay Out!" sign: Also placed a clip at the bottom of the ladder to make it sturdy, and as you can see the light is a lot better now: Two-Face Van: Really happy with this one, it is now very, very improved. Far more white and grey on its respective sides including wheel hubs: Other side. Back I'm really proud of, removing the button replacing it with an armoured door. i kept a few studs so it still looked like an actual set: It open with Two-Face and thug: Penguin's U99 Sub: Another one I'm particularly proud of. All shooters removed and replaced with a smooth outside. The white technic bars no longer show and the whole thing is sleeker: Removed almost all grey from bottom to keep it more penguin-ish. Kept the grey on the fins to distinguish them, and put on black inverted dishes in keeping with the colour scheme: Now the inside area is HUGE! Having removed the cannon and elongated the removable top to six studs long, Penguin can fit in all that! Not to mention this cargo bay: Very accessible see? Now two or even three people can fit: See all the mods here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=298640 Part 2 - The Updations: A new bit, this is where I post old Batmocs I have now improved. Batsubmersible: Once this with the ugly "floorboard roof": Now this beauty thanks to the Snake Oiler car piece: Overall a far more improved machine. New vs Old. Robin Speedboat: With the debut of the awesome Scuba Jet my Speedboat looked a little out of polace next to it, too much black, no bley, too much red etc. it was also too large. Old: Vs cute and cooler new: Go Go Go! Robin Snowski: Some of you may remember my Robin Snowski from my Batimpulses: Well here it is, new and improved: Rather happy how this turned out with the silver sleds, the flames out the back I felt worked too: Taking off: And the three vehicles together, see how they all match colour wise now? Part 3 - The Creations: The Whirlybat: Such a cute little gyrocopter for Bats! This appears in Tales of the Demon collection and a few other comics: I'm happy how it came out really, especially with Bats in it: In action! And next to the huge Batcopter: Harley Quinn Truck: Total, and I mean TOTAL credit to The Penguin for this, a truly wonderful idea, and he was the first to do it. Thanks mate for letting me do it as well: Door Opens up: Thanks again Pengy. I've already changed it out of respect though to suit another Batman character so look out for it in the next Bat Treat. More pics of it and everything else here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=295370 Part 5 - Another going away! Batbrick is sad but he knows it is right, he accompanies Brainbox to his permanent residency to Arkham where he can pun to himself all he wishes Have to say, I'm really happy how this minivig came out! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for looking! Batbrick Away!
  25. Very nice. Though it's your least favourite it is still very good. I really respect that you've kept the "surplus unit" look of it, a mass produced vehicle. I think it is a little too tall, but overall a vast improvement while still retaining the cool traits of the original, looking forward to the next one! Batbrick Away!
