You may need to make that bold lad, er, as in BOLDER! I just pray this time we have the right man... Batbrick Away!

Hello all, as you might have seen I built a large temple recently for my Indy/Adventurer WIP. The link is in my sig if you wish to see it. Here is the second and final BIG moc for a couple of months for my Jungle WIP, a badguy tree outpost: It sits on a river hence the crab and seaweed: It is flat at the back as it is more for display at the back, unlike the temple that simply demanded an inside: I think I used up about all the light bley slopes I had for this, not much eh? Better view, not having a huge amount of good tree pieces I like how the branches came out: Other view, notice the spider web in the tree, and the way the tree has taken root: Back, I like how the long ladder came out: I'm not a huge SNOT fan but I love how effective it is for landscaping. Notice also the little box at the bottom: And the secret room at the bottom with one Johnny Thunder making the steal! Commie climbing the ladder, I love how long it is! Another look at the root: Better look at the trunk. I have yet to find something log pieces aren't useful for: The cabin, it sticks out a little but overall I think it integrates into the overall tree shape well: Side-ish views, notice the grey box and access way: Now finally the top: the branches: It was so hard tryinmg to find good positions for all of them but overall I like it. Note the monkey: Sideways view with that cheeky primate: More overall views: And a couple of pics of it next to the temple: Hope you liked it! I know it isn't as good as the temple but I'm very happy with it still, and I'm glad to have expanded on the river chase set outpost. I have a couple of "minimocs" to be done but for a while this is the last big one until i procure more pieces and space. Thanks again! Batbrick Away!

Cool, thanks for that again. I'll look into it definitely when I have the time or cash, and have collected Batman's early years. I'm planning to order it soon, great stuff. The Killing Joke is in there too along with "The Great Joker/Clayface feud" Fair enough, but I find it overzealous. Look at TLH and Y1, they had a bit of blood and darkness but only when it was necessary, I find that hack writers nowadays just include gore to emphasise "Teh Darknes!!11!!1!". Also, how are kids supposed to read the actual source now if it is like this? I know Lee Bermejo's new Joker issues has arterial sprays all over a wall. Don't get me wrong gore is good when the story or atmosphere demands it, but Batman is still a superhero and thus I miss the old days of actual superheroics. Now we just see characters gunned down horrifically to heighten the tension, I mean, can atleast some writers make a good story without taking a few pages from Saw and Hostel? Point, if nothing in the game then hopefully the cutscenes, but a news article doesn't mean all. C'MON! Anyhoo, OH. MY. COD: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=46009 Batbrick Away!

I disagree highly. In a critic's terms it betrays every law in the book. ie: Characters must have a point (Mac and Oxley could be removed for more screentime with Marion and nothing changes for the worse), Danger and tension at its greatest in climax (blown to smithereens literally by a ground zero Indy surviving in a fridge that totally removes all suspense from later scenes), the "End of a previous adventure beginning of the others (replaced with a "We are kidnapped and taken to the warehouse where the ark is also" nod that is cool but ultimately makes the ending of Raiders less cool by revealing too much), the threatening badguys (hell even Vogel in Crusade was threatening, Spalko was just good looking in some scenes and the rest were just buffoons), traps (a stair falling and some cogs? Is that it?) and a few more I can't be bothered mentioning. I respect that some like the film, but I find that it is a mess that makes very little sense. Batbrick Away!

I'd have to agree here We all love the WW theme, but can't you just make a poll with more than one question, you seem to have made an awful amount of theses... Batbrick Away!

I just noticed among the confusion that people were demanding to know who was General Marcus. I revealed myself as he yesterday, it seems my words were lost among the chatter and for that I apologise! Yes, I have a limp after last night, and no, I was not trying to kill anyone as a traitor. As a General I have a right to investigate matters, and before retiring to my room last night I heard a clatter of noise. Coming across a hallway I was set upon by an assailant whom I could not see properly. As I stated before however, I refuse to believe entirely that the assailant was the traitor as several people crossed paths that night and I believe there was a confusion and friendly fire among us. Again I apologise that my identity was missed, but as we all know we must trust instinct not a simple wound, as remember the tale of Rome....

Not late, just delayed Beer? And I though playdoh was bad.... Had to be done, and it fitted your character didn't it Over there! See above. Thanks Grevious, it is a great set. Wow! Thanks Brainbox, I'm really glad you commented I agree there needs to be a secret compartment but sadly the way the temple is made it doesn't easily allow for such a thing. Maybe the nexst one, I have plans for an Indian style temple or something, and the pillars in that could provide some cool things. Still, I'm glad there is only one "ehting" that bothers you And no problem about the lateness, I'm really glad you commented! Hehe, I doubt it's the best Moc you've ever seen, but either way thanks a lot Gahu: Turaga of Force. I am definitely building more jungle mocs, I'll include a link in my sig. I have one more that is much smaller than this, and then a hiatus until I can get more bricks. A massive thankyou to you though Conventions? Thanks, but i know of no conventions in Tas. Thanks, glad to hear comments form a fan of smaller mocs. :pir-laugh: Yes, Johnny is pregnant, stop staring! I'm definitely making a vig on this now... And btw, I'll be uploading the next jungle creation soon in the H&A forum, so I'll link it my sig if you guys want to see. Batbrick Away!

My entry: Indiana Jones and the Prophecy of Power It is 1943, the height of Germany's power in World War 2. Indy is fighting alongside his best mate Mac, fellow soldier. While Indiana Jones is a patriotic man, the government demands he be relieved of service temporarily and relocated for a special mission. At first Indiana does not understand, and upset that Mac will not be following him, but the Government reveals that Indy's archenemies - The Nazis - are once again under Hitler's orders to find an artifact that will give Germany dominance in the war. This artifact is known only as the Sacred Tablet, said to be a scripture sent by the lost civilisation's Gods themselves, imbued with a special writing that once spoke, will give that man and his allies total dominion and invincibility for 100 years after which it must be read again. Indiana is ordered to team up with the honourable Russian, Colonel Grishenko and his team, to first find the ancient map in the heart of Russia before Nazi special agent Gerdhaht does, and then travel to the Amazon in Brazil to find the legendary temple. He is aided by Grishenko's right hand woman, the beautiful Anya Romanov, who begins to fall for him. But as the team boats down the wild river, they must face deadly creatures, forces of nature, the Nazis, and a man who could be more dangerous than all of them, a man who well could want the tablet for himself: Colonel Grishenko. This scenes takes place at the climax of the film, where Grishenko, having betrayed Indy and Anya and the good Russian soldiers, has taken his more loyal troops to attain the tablet. Trouble ensues as the Nazis, though in a smaller force, arrive lead by Agent Gerdhaht and engage in a gunfight with Grishenko and his troops. The Natives residing there are quickly dispatched by the evil men. Indy and Anya, having been tipped off by one of the good Russian troops before he died, flee to the temple with enemies on all sides closing in. The action approaches the front gate as the four main players followed by the troops race inside: The gunfight between the three factions moves into the temple itself, with Anya wedged in a small corner defending herself as men on both sides meet their ends, by bullets or the temple's twisted traps. Grishenko finds the tablet but is tackled by Indy, determined for the first time in his life to destroy an artifact, a fact he is having desperate trouble with. As the two engage in a fistfight among a gunfight, Agent Gerdhaht starts reading the tablet: Here is how it ends if you wish to read, but I will say you can have your own ending: As Gerdhaht reads the tablet Indy manages to push Grishenko off the ledge, biding him time to stop Gerdhaht. The gunfight stops as a loud humming is heard as each further word is spoken, gaining more power as he reads on. Indy pulls Gerdhaht down off the platform with him, but unfortunately the Nazi agent lands nearest to the tablet near the safety of German gunmen. Luckily as the Agent reaches for the tablet, Indiana notices that he is nearby a deadly trap that killed a russian earlier and just in time pushes the "button" in the floor, causing Gerdhaht to be sent screaming down a pit onto a bed of stakes, and the tablet now nearest to Jones. The Nazis continue to fight a hopeless fight against the Russians as they have failed to be granted invincibility, and Indy and Anya escape outside. Anya demands to Indy that he destroy the cursed artifact, but he cannot bring himself to. Unknown to him, Colonel Grishenko has come to and is racing across the ground desperate for power. Indy finally brings himself to destroy it, and as Grishenko dives in horror to the broken tablet he is mutilated and burnt alive by the power being released. Indy dispatches the last two remaining Grishenko troops as a Russian helicopter touches down, from a call Indy gave earlier on the boat (before escaping) after discovering Grishenko's betrayal. Indy and Anya are lifted off together, sharing one last night together before Indy is whisked back to WW2. The ending is bittersweet, but Indiana Jones looks forward to returning to his mate Mac, and has learned that not all artifacts or things should be kept for man to see. Hope you liked the story, more pics here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=324360 And here for the temple: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=322991 I really wanted to put a twist where the Nazis weren't actually the main villains, and that the Russians were not entirely bad, instead just greedy Grishenko and about half his men (the other half were killed). I also didn't want any villain to die from performing the artifact ritual as the other films had, but instead die as a result of the artifact being broken. Hope you enjoyed it, I enjoyed writing it Batbrick Away!

*places a few coins in basket* Forgive me father for arriving so late. I must say, given all the confusion last night are we sure that some nosey loyalists did not just attack each other in the dark? I know back when I was young me sister and I would often spook each other at night, I think the traitor slipped away leaving you all to blame each other.

I'd have to agree, well done on such a mad and fantastic moc, but I don't think I'll be voting of it as I'd prefer to see something with al ittle more true Indy spirit. Great work though! Batbrick Away! -
Er, Savril is alive, Martin rest his soul is dead.
-
What a sad day! And to think that I myself had helped by voting for Lord Martin. There is one thing that must be done before we continue in this investigation, I say we give Lord Martin the proper respect he deserves, let his death be known as one of the highest possible honour and not that of which he was hung for.

Actually we are trying to suggest better henchmen than the ones given I agree with The Brick Rat that the Batmobile is totally the next set to get, Two-Face should be bought second and he is also a plain awesome villain, the second best after Joker, but that doesn't mean he isn't two awesome. Then I reckon the Batcave, those three sets in my opinion are that absolute essentials. I would also agree with The Brick Rat on the mandrake heads for plantmen, I wish I had some as they are great. Good luck! Batbrick Away!
