  1. This is one of the most beautiful sets I've ever seen. Scratch that, THE most beautiful set I have ever seen. I really hope to get it as it is most wonderful. Congrats TLC, in one set you have already bested a stellar 2008 Batbrick Away!
  2. I'm as hardcore Batman fan and I've never heard of Gearhead and only fleeting mentions of Ragdoll form somewhere. Ventriloquist and Talia Al Ghul should've been here though. Screw Maxie Zeus, there are plenty of better, more famous characters before him. Batbrick Away!
  3. I can't see a pic, link please? No, if it the comics Ra's they have reigned triumphant over Nolan's rather bland Ra's. Seriously, you guys would prefer a standard black clad Liam Neeson to the real deal!? With an already produced face!? Give me the comics rendition anyday, far more interesting than the movie Ra's. Edit: Found the pic. I wish he had his Ra's cloak on, but I still love him, he has the arabic look down which is fantastic. Batbrick Away!
  4. Ha, I was pleasantly surprised by this. It seemed at first it was going to be "meh", but it seems they picked up by the second episode. After a few failed jokes they got a run of pure genius, I almost cried laughing when Robin gets a soda with Two-Faces coin, and then Two-Face fires his gun (which turns out to be a grapple hook) not at them, but at the machine so he could get his coin back The Riddler part was the stuff of legends too, as was the poor thug who got knocked out by that manhole cover. I hope to see more of these, I quite enjoyed it. Batbrick Away!
  5. Wow The Penguin! Yuo have really hit this in to a high gear! Can't wait to see what will happen now that some of Gotham's most vile villains are in. I love Joker's dialog, as well in part 2, the characterisation of Gordon was very good. It seems very intriguing this murdered character, he was in Arkham and was meant to do a deal with Two-Face. Or maybe Two-Face was just going to take the mysterious "Spider" from him? Either way, I'm excited Batbrick Away!
  6. Great new strip KDog, I'm so glad you didn't cut the comic out on the UFO appearance, that was a nice little cameo. Well, that turned out just how I wanted with 20% extra randomness, Shwartz won the girl. Woo! Can't wait to see the mega-blockbuster, super-gigantic 100th comic! Batbrick Away!
  7. Have a happy birthday! Especially you KDog, thanks for your great comic, I hope oyu have a good one! Batbrick Away!
  8. Hey that would actually be really cool to see an undead orc on the skeleton's side, nice idea there. I'd love to get a zombie fig one day too Unfortunately I didn't get the skeleton ship, it was the only 2007 castle set I didn't get, So I can't compare them. However, I like that the Troll Warship doesn't look like half a ship. Batbrick Away!
  9. *Referring to a further up KimT post* Hey, that's a great idea, I'd never thought of a water based faction, that would be sweet. But what would it be? I'm thinking mermaids or fishmen or something. Speaking of set design, I just bought the Dwarfsmine Defense the other day and I hope that next years set has a cheaper army builder like the Crossbow Attack, as that was a much better price to get loads of figs with. Batbrick Away!
  10. Once you create a character you can save it anyway right? Batbrick Away!
  11. Bought the Troll warship the other day and loved it. The troll leader is so cool with that awesome armour, and the ship is very nice too with brilliant parts. Batbrick Away!
  12. Ah yes, a bad cheater but a good liar. You are confused. I was talking to my mother the other day and we have such a contrast in beliefs. She sees good in people when I don't, same goes for a lot of my friends and romnantic interests, I just hope it doesn't end like Dr Horrible It was awesome, I just watched it. The pure cheese just oozing especially during the chorus was hilarious, though I still am a little lost on the machine. I thought it was small but this thing is huge. Oh well, bring on the apocalypse! Moments like that is why the riddler is such a great character. Point in case his detective run with Paul "God" Dini, as much as I hate his forgotten memory the provate investigator angle is awesome. Man, I feel for you. I mean, at first it was funny, but now it is just downright frustrating. I might get the asvent calender, though I doubt it. If I do it'll be mainly for the jester and vegetable pieces, of which I have little. I love them. I agree with you, they really are fantastic. Gold tooth is brilliant, a clever mix of Fransisco Scaramanga and Auric Goldfinger, and the ten bars of gold made me happy. The truck I really love though, the prelim pics need to go to the bad place for deceiving us, and the jet is pure sweetness, like Deino I'd love to have a whole squadron of them. The snow one is great too, I rather like Fire-Arm's "brother", and I finally get that elusive Chase hair. Speaking of which, I almost bought the mobile Command Center for 20% off the other day, but decided on the Troll Warship instead. I did this because the pieces in the ship were better for my current mocs and IA, it was cheaper, the fig count was more exciting and also I've decided on getting the Castle sets first. I've only got 6 sets to go now and have over three months left, so comic galore is approaching once I get the sets Yeah, I have enough romantic issues with that mirror Mate, if you had ANY idea how eccentric I was then you'd be head over heels. Seriously, you're talking to the guy who -- No, wait, I promised the MIB I wouldn't reveal that one. Oh, but what is "wellies"? I've seen it in my comic sotre yes, but I hear it's only average and mainly about him getting rescarred about 15 times. I really want to get more continuity storylines right now, I've set my eyes on A Lonely Place of Dying, The Man Who Laughs and the Matt Wagner duology. But Two-face is the coolest villain in Batman, you atleast have to admit he brings out the best in writers, he rarely gets dud stories at all unlike Joker in any medium. During the writer's strike, what a joke that was. I love the whole thing, the premise is really a Geekgasm in itself. I really have to get my learners sometime, though I keep putting it off. I'm one of those guys that isn't really interested in driving but prefer to be as I put it "chauffeured". Though considering you're two years older than me I guess I'm not one to talk eh? Yeah, the Joker's point and premise in the issue was awesome though, the premise would've worked wonderfully in a one shot. Too bad the art kills it, seriously that is the worst, most inconsistent art I've ever seen. You're in middle territory now in dudzone sadly. Don't fret though, this is the last instance of utterly abysmal episodes, from here on thew worst they get is "below par". Though I do love Day of the Samurai, it is one of the only eps to actually kill a character (others being Two-Face part 2 and Harlequnade). Amusingly enough regarding the moon of the wolf ep, it is a bad episode based on a bad comic story with the same character name. By the way, how are your batmocs going? Done anything new? I know I'll be making some of the Lego suits form the game. Batbrick Away!
  13. I'll be bothered about it but I practically know it'll be replaced for a different one. When has TLC ever just thrown in an old torso like a cheap suit for a new adventure theme? They may be stingy, but they aren't the enemies of fun. The little pieces that come with each new theme is always the reason why I atleast get one set from the theme. Which is not necessarily bad, as I do love my parts bins, especially since lime green could be useful for Jungle, space or Poison Ivy mocs. I hope the theme is redeemed by a few exclusive parts that are really useful. I'm crying as I write this.......Okay, not really, but it is upsetting that my beautiful Robin Red bike is destroyed Well, the drill piece could be useful, and I just remembered what the cool drill set reminds me of: Thunderbirds! I loved that vehicle in that show! Batbrick Away!
  14. I can see where this is going, but am by no means disappointed. Love the stroy panning out right now, and the dialog here is great. Love Shwartz' brief moment of enlightenment there, and even more Valkyrie's comments to Shwartz as he takes off Now bring on the next episode! I'm getting withdrawal symptoms here! (Also, nice use of the Yeti, I love the oft Johnny Thunder appearances in the series) Batbrick Away!
  15. I bought the set the other day and loved it. I don't want to offend but I find your criticisms a bit petty. The only glaring faults I see are the lack of steering wheel, lack of rudder and not a lot else. The jail in the middle is part of Orc design I guess, I personally like it as I reckon the Orcs would love jeering and insulting their prisoners from all directions. The rear upper mast is no problem, quite a few ships had a higher rear mast in history. Was it better? No idea, but it existed and therefore must have worked reasonably well. The other bits are no problem, as we are talking about an ORC ship here so I doubt conventional rules apply to miniboat attachments and the like. Personally I love the set, and the only thing funner than the set will be modding it into perfection, which in my opinion is what makes Lego sets so fun. Batbrick Away!
  16. I really hope we get both Batgirl AND Oracle. They are both really essential and I'd love to read your expression if they released her. No, I mean, would the gun be too small and fragile to be attached to Scarface? Just throwing it out there, I can't wait to see the game version to know. I disagree, I'd prefer Two-Face to be a side villain with another in a set that gives that villain the vehicle. He already has a car. Also, Mr.Freeze needs his armoured truck. TLC would be crazy enough to try it! Though the Joker missile sounds perfect, unless we get a Tropical styled Joker I'd prefer another villain, like Wonderland rocket or something that equals Tetch's insanity. Though I prefer the Hatmobile Me too, seriously man that is fantastic, especially the bat bombs and fire suit. Mind if I copy? I love you Seriously, thanks for leaving a comment, I'm glad another would love to see the theme continue, as I agree it has much left to offer. In fact, I'd go as far to say that the series has only done about 1% or less of its full capacity. I reckon you'd love the other sets, specifically Arkham knowing your tastes in Castle, it has some great aspects to it. As far as I know the theme's future has yet to be declared, so it's all up to rumours right now. However, given the movie released this year, a Lego videogame as well and the four sets which seem to be selling quite well, I'd say it has a good chance Batbrick Away!
  17. Brilliant comic intro Penguin! I love the lighting, it is not too dark and not too bright. The current ambiguity of the scene is very cool to, you know the old saying: "there is more going on in the scene than just the scene" The dialog is very good too, love the "....dead" line. The set look quite nice too, I love that it is like a proper comic with the textbox revealing the location too. Can't wait to see the next one and glad you posted it! Also, I reckon you could keep posting parts in this topic if you want to. Batbrick Away!
  18. I imagine that It's true! Heh, guess the teacher felt sorry for you. Though honestly I'd be regarded as a better student if I wasn't so downright pessimistic, negative, sarcastic, cynical, narcissistic, un-partiotic and downright too smart for my own good. No, what is it? Sounds random and funny. I love The Incredibles, but my favourite is Wall-E and Toy Story 2. Though funnily enough, for such soppy trash Disney kills more characters than any other studio. It's Dreamworks I have the problem with Very nice, here are mine, as you can guess a lot are Two-Fae related: The bit in Year One as Batman announces to the corrupt that their time is coming to an end is pulls a "survivor" with that torch. TLH Splash page with the gang, as well as the Two-Face reveal and Gilda reveal. Seriously, that final page is so brilliantly drawn. Bane breaks Batman's back is iconic, but I prefer the final page of the previous issue with Bane's first appearance in the Manor. Hush's Riddler reveal, that was HIS moment and I loved every second of it. Dark Victory with Two-Face pistol whipping the crap out of Joker and Robin being sworn in. I'll think of more in a sec...... Yuo have it bad too huh? Hey, atleast we aren't buying shoes! I think multiple sets are a no now, but I've almost got all the sets now, having got Troll impulse, Troll assault, Agent 1 and Agent 3 the other day. Yeah, I agree with the foreshadowing, but Joker's famous "Hahaha" panel is totally butchered in my opinion. I'm afraid to say "Very" now! Yeah, I'm still waiting for more writers to have the guts to write more stories lie Matt Wagner that don't necessarily shake things up in the mythos, but tell their own stories with villains that need to be used more, and are better for it. I like Hush, but I think I'll get Face the Face first, after all, it is Two-Face based and it is necessary for the "One Year Later" storyline. It was brilliant, I might've watched it ten times already, did you like the ending? I love John Glover as the riddler: "My, My, if it isn't Bat-something-or-rather" Joker's Wild is worth watching for the jokermobile alone, too bad it blew up. Batbrick Away!
  19. Thanks for the article, the mere fact that Ra's is in the game means I can die happy! Now I'm hoping for Talia! I doubt Zsasz, he's a serial killer with his skin etched with his counts of his victims, plus he's just not that interesting. You're obsession with him is bordering on unhealthy Yeah, and I love the reveal of his part to play: So hyped up and then.......it's a key Definitely Joker, he really doesn't kill other freaks as he enjoys their effect on Batman, so I imagine Killer Moth will just fail epically instead. I like Peyton because she's hot and frankly we need more female villains, and I like the relationship with the doll as being in love rather than afraid, but I like Wesker a lot too. Batbrick Away!
  20. Great job The Penguin! I love your batfigs, so I'll review them in order Penguin and his girls: *wolf whistles* Hubba Hubba! Great figs The Penguin, I love the torso choices for these ones Ra's Al Ghul: Not sure on this one, I think the hair works but not the dace or torso sorry. Mr Freeze: Very nice, I love the grey suit you've given him. Roxy Rocket: Love the new outfit, very fitting and works perfectly! I like the old head better though. Robin and Unmasked Robin: Love your Robin, I'll have to do that to one of mine as well. The harry potter torso works perfectly for him unmasked too, and Mutt's head works surprisingly perfect! Some generic Gotham hooligans: Hehe, I love these guys, especially the grin on the rather happy looking one Great choice of torsos though. Gotham top-glass ladies: Beautiful! Love the differenty dresses you gave them, it works so well, good job. Plus they're hot. Simon the Pieman: , perfect! Bring on the pie Puns! Batbrick Away!
  21. Yeah, I was hoping for a thing better than that frankly, though if the piece is new it might be cool. The rock catapult looks really bad in my opinion, it is just to launch the rock monsters Damn, that totally stops me from buying more of these sets. Cookie monster! Batbrick Away!
  22. Thanks for the review The Cobra, I love this little set, it was the first Viking one I bought. The fig and accessories are great, and I for one love the wolf so I voted "above average". Plus having an army of wolves just looks awesome. Batbrick Away!
  23. Nice work! I love the pattern on the wings, and the whole design is so simplistically brilliant I'm jealous i didn't think of it! Batbrick Away!
  24. Thanks for the cagri review, I bought this set the other day and was rather happy with it. I voted "average" as it could've been better, but the fig selection is great in my opinion, and it is a cheap way of getting a giant troll which is awesome. The wagon may not be that great but it is going to be really fun to mod in my eyes and I look forward to doing just that. Batbrick Away!
  25. Good idea, but anything but a rocket please, that's just weird. I reckon they'd think of something, plus Bruce Wayne is known to be attacked by the freaks occasionally. Since Selina knows Bruce's identity now that might work, but I reckon Hugo Strange would be awesome. Or Hush - with a trenchcoat. Babs. Good point, but I wonder if they would just have Wesker hold the gun? I wouln't mind that, I'd prefer the mini gun but if that is how it is I'm fine, so long as we get Scarface A book, or a comic? He's kinda cute in BTAs, probably because you really feel sorry for the poor guy, he's just so darn pathetic. Great minds think alike, I'd love to get Strange, I really need to get Batman and the Monster Men sometime. Okay, so we thought of characters, now we need to think of Vehicles, here's what I got: Bruce Limo Mad Hatter glider (C'mon, has anyone else got any better ideas? ) Wayne Manor Manbat with Batglider (fabric one) Batsub Batcar Robin cycle Robin Redbird (car) Mothmobile! Anything else? Batbrick Away!
