  1. Ooh! Looking forward to it! Nice, I love those eps, most of all Almost Got 'Im. The Batcycle chase really is neat I agree, plus I love to see more Batwing. Gotta love Bats playing Croc as an idiot though I'm now getting BTAS volume 4 for Christmas, so that'll be fun. i've been going over them recently, and I must say I never get sick of Heart of Ice, it peevs me that comic writers have yet to make a good Mr Freeze story. Oh he is, in the words of Doctor Zoidberg "Such a man!" Great, I'll get onto that soon! Atleast it looks like a space station though, I just finished watching The Uninvited and Operation Crashdive. The former was pretty good, great to see some marionette action, as well as some baddies, even if we learnt nothing of them or their intentions. Still didn't beat the high mark set by Trapped in the Sky though. The latter though was brilliant, great gordon sea action (Gordon was my favourite as a kid) and the constant change of pace and scenery was really refreshing. Love that the saboteur remains a mystery at the end too, I know it may seem like a cop out but I like the ambiguous touch (though he did resemble one of the flight planners from earlier). What? I like John, Alan I can't stand, he's got a perma-blush. John is slick. What kind of retort is that? You're not even trying! I agree, like Spaced. Watch it, only 14 eps of comedy gold. Though I do love Kath and Kim here.... No, we call it that here too, I was just clarifying. Really? I've done 74%! What can I say? I REALLY love the game. You are right, the levels are really enjoyable to go over, and as you say the vehicles are far better tihs time round. Though I am a bit annoyed that of the three batvehicles, the Batmobile is the one with only a single level My favourite attack is Harley's Hammer and Bane's knightfall attack, as well as Scarecrow's fear atttack. You were right about Killer Moth too, the cutscenes had me damn near unable to breath, his obsession with bright lights is genius. Love the cutscene with Batman looking up Capes.com as well Mine's definitely Manbat and Mad Hatter, they are both so perfect, especially with Mad Hatter little propeller in his hat to double jump. Apparently Death in the city, Paul Dini's direct followup to Detective includes the new Ventriloquist intro, so i'm getting that for Christmas too. As well as Gotham Central: Dead Robin. Seriously mate, I cannot have enough of this stuff, plus I get to read more than you Did I mention I'm also getting Face the Face from my sister as well? Very cool, I worded my explanation badly though. I don't see my childhood as dying, I see it as having the possibility of dying should I forget it. I'd much rather be a big kid and have my fun. Plus if anyone ever ridicules me for having childish comics I'll let them borrow Arkham Asylum by Grant Morrison off me and see how that shuts them up. MUHAHAHAHA! :skull: Yeah but 99% of everything humanity makes is crap, so it might as well be the same! Wait till they see mine, it IS the Batpod, though I am a huge fan of yours to be honest, love the wheel configuration. Oh, that's not good at all is it? Me? Lately I've just been playing Lego Batman and making more Batcharacters. Go to my Brickshelf, what do you think of my Ra's? I also ended up buying A Lonely place of Dying myself and loved it, slight cheesiness but in the end has far more heart than any of the crap Morrison or other writers are making these days. I've also realised I hate Dan Didio and the DC staff. Making Cass a villain? Killing off Batman? Killing off Spoiler albeit temporarily? Destroying Leslie's character? Killing Tim Drake's dad? I seriously think I'd do a better job than 90% of these pathetic hacks. Grrr. Sorry, I just really hate modern DC right now. Batbrick Away!
  2. No! I'm missing more! Sorry KDog. Anyway, these are great, I'm so glad we get to see Dash talk, for whatever reason I cracked up at the "He has no vocal cords" quip, it just made so much sense. Very interested in seeing where this goes, I'm a bit confused as to whether his intentions are good, or evil like with that poor dead guy who met him. Keep 'em coming! Batbrick Away!
  3. Thanks guys, I love that Flying Wing a lot! Great colour scheme, and 'm so glad the german mechanic gets a new face and torso. I'll definitely be getting both these sets, maybe even two of the Shanghai Chase Batbrick Away!
  4. I doubt it, the Cutter was 80 dollars here, and this set looks about the same size as the Race for the Stolen Treasure with only one fig more. So I'm guessing 50-60 here, but I hope you're right Hollisbrick and it is 40 Batbrick Away!
  5. How do you know it is better in the movie unless you read the comics too? EDIT: And for anyone who wants to read anothe,r i'll get around to posting a link to another short soon! Batbrick Away!
  6. Hey guys, I recently discovered the wonderful site that is Scans Daily recently and am now having a lot of fun finding some of my favourite stories. I know a lot of you out there are Dark Knight fans but haven't read a comic, so I thought I might post this little gem for you. It centers around Two-Face, who while was pretty cool in TDK was also incredibly rushed as a villain, so I reckon you'll like this: Two of a Kind You have to be over fourteen to view. The short is part of a collection of black and white shorts in a graphic novel called Batman: Black and White. This one is made by Bruce Timm, one of the makers of BTAS and it is drawn in his style. I hope you like and don't be afraid to ask for any other links or post some of your own! Batbrick Away!
  7. Arrgh! They're going up so fast! And yet they're so good! Love part 4, the twins are always a laugh and going form a cranky man to a rather, erm, willing woman gave me a chuckle. I'll read Part 5 now.
  8. Yes, damn you I'm going to post "A Very Batman Halloween" vig as my entry I've decided, I've made Batman take a nice dip in a hole full of snakes. However, another member has posted a vig layour near identical to mine, so I'm now confused! The sharks are great, I'll be sure to use them for a Joker's Five Way Revenge or Laughing Fish vig one day. Speaking of which, have you watched anymore eps? I'd really like to do it as a proper job myself, even if DC's editorial staff is full of hacks. (You fired Dixon you barstools!) But sorry, I've already dibs Mad Hatter as a three story 6 issue special, and i've worked out all the details too. I also like Victor, Victor Fries McCormack.......You are right you know, my name is really un-Batbricky Nice, tell me when you send them, I'll be much quicker this time, did I make it in time for the others? Thunderbird 4 was always my favourite: A small yellow sub that in by far the tiniest of the vehicles, and gets to be an official TB even when it comes out of a TB2 pod like a lot of other vehicles. I dislike TB5 because it can't do anything. At all. Heck it couldn't even send a radio beam so they got TB2 to do it! Love TB2 though, and TB6, mainly because I'm a 1910's to 1940's plane nut I love that mole! The other ones are great too, but seriously, that Mole is perfection. He didn't like John of Alan!? I mean, I don't like them either, but if you're the make that's quite odd. I laughed out loud at that hat, also worn by Virgil (my favorite of the Tracy's), it just looked....stupid I love cult shows too, like Firefly! Seriously though, I have no problem in admitting a vast majority of my favourite shows come from Britain, there's a great charm to English humour.....that you lack. Sounds brilliant, which is why i'm glad I have enough money to buy it now! Haha, yes, I couldn't resist, as soon as the PC version comes out here I'm getting, then a wait till Christmas. EDIT: Got the game with! I agree, it's fantastic, I'm only up to chapter two but I'm getting the hang of where to find red bricks and stuff. I've played as Two-Face and he is awesome, but is punching and firing pistols all he can do? I'm fine with that, but I was confused by your statement, I'm guessing you meant he flicked his coin. Thanks! Does Detective introduce the new Ventriloquist and riddler as a PI? Turns out i'm also getting Mad Monk too, I write it on the list before Mum took off to order and the con worked like a treat, read that one Yippee! Great, I'm really glad I bought it now, ultimately I'm just a big kid, almost everything I buy is to keep a piece of my childhood alive and stave off having to abandon all my roots. Well done on your box set too, I wish I could find more places like that.... Sounds like you had a great time then, congrats. And congrats on possible future possibilities, I'll let you interpret that one the way you want , don't you just love that! It really is a good design, though I feel my design will consume yours and all others in a hellish crimson fire of death! My weekend was pretty average, I won A Lonely Place of Dying on Ebay for only 10.00 which is the ultimate bargain, and I did a humurous quiz at my church. Gotta say though, much of my time was spent watching BTAS, Thunderbirds and Futurama. Batbrick Away! EDIT: Sorry for the short replies tonight, but I had to go to bed straight away!
  9. Okay, I can only think positively for so long. I am not interested in this theme at all now, and I'll only get the smallest set for the fig, monster and red crystal. Not saying these sets are bad, but they are only only really adequate in my opinion, and I want to save some money. Batbrick Away!
  10. Very cool! The police booth looks very accurate to me! The inside of the TARDIS is also very accurate, very neat, though I do believe I can offer a variation idea. Make the walls panels and have hinges connecting them together so you can get that more rounded look if you'd like to shoot for the 80's to modern day versions. Batbrick Away!
  11. Great new comics KDog, I'm even more intrigued now the way this goes down with Europa involved. Might this explain the Yeti? Hmmm..... Anyway, the jokes here are great too, love the double take by the twins at the joke. How many more parts of this storyline do you plan? Batbrick Away!
  12. Yeah, I definitely hope Dwarves will be given a major focus in next year's line up. I also hope a new faction is also here, and that Orcs are given much less treatment, like the same as the dwarves: A base and then only in a couple of other sets as minifigs. Batbrick Away!
  13. AAAAARRRGGGHGH! I am blinded by the sheer awesomeness that this creation is generating Dragonator. Well done mate! This thing is beautiful, a true masterpiece. Seriously, everything here is almost perfect. My favourite part is stained glass windows. Your landscaping is wonderful, I don't know about you, but I always found landscaping rather easy, but the fact that you have integrated it into the rest of everything is superb! The details like the minifarm and knights around the edge really make the moc in my opinion, my favourite part is the little bridge across the river. The fact that you have a little side entrance by the river is simply genius. The building itself is the true best part however. I love the simple yet also complex designs on the walls, as well as the front part jutting out. I never knew how to pull off those kind of roofs in medieval style buildings, but gosh darn if oyu haven't shown me! The little details again like the corner dragon jaws and cross shapes on the sides really make this moc special and show you have really put immense thought into it. Certainly for me this is your greatest creation (I've only seen three though ), far surpassing anything I have done (yet ). Your skills as a builder have certainly improved greatly and I can't wait to see more from you! Last of all, sorry for posting late, but please know I think your creation is one of the best of its kind I have ever seen. Batbrick Away!
  14. Me too! this is my favourite aspect of this set! Gangsters! This is the main reason I'm getting it too, and if I can afoord it, hopefully two of them. The minifigs are absolutely fantastic, and the best part is that they can ALL be used in my Batman display. Wille can be used as an Iceberg Lounge dancer, Indy's suit for another character and of course the gangsters as gangsters! Inspired! Wow! You are right, that is perfect for James Bond, especially Sean Connery who wore that white suit often in his films. I'll reserve my judgment, but I like it. It could be better yes, but it's good enough for me. Tell me you've made one. If you have I am so buying. I disagree, if you want old heads buy old sets, the more heads we get the more variety as well. So I can't find a single thing wrong apart from the guns. Both vehicles will be ever-so-slightly tweaked and added to my Gotham display too, as I love them. This is definitely one of my most anticipated sets! Batbrick Away!
  15. Don't know what the second word means, but yes he has mostly consistently had the buck teeth, though not to a huge extent, just to emphasise that he is not very handsome (hence his love problems) and his Mad Hatter likeness. Ok, I officially love you now that you I know you watch that show! I would love a fig, and I know how the wings would be handled, with that piece that goes on the neck and bends down the back with a stud on it. Batbrick Away!
  16. Not bad actually, I like what you've done here. You have WAY too many figs in the bank though, a realistic estimate would cut out one of the officers, Riddler and a henchman. The Batgirl's one is good, but I'd change it to a cycle. I think your Nightwing set is spot on though, just have Killer Croc as a more monstrous version. I think a Batcar might be more appropriate for the last one too, a small set with no vehicle for Manbat. Don't go too far my friend, there are still a heck of a lotta A-listers before figs like the Penny Plunderer. That would be great, maybe those new robot arms but tan coloured could work? Goodluck, sadly the face is a sticker, but it is still excellent. Batbrick Away!
  17. That was brilliant! I especially love the baked Anakin in the foil and the "You mashed her" line! Batbrick Away!
  18. And yet.....did not die, as he continued to walk closer with a knife through his heart....
  19. I missed this! Great new part, love the humourous reference to the drunk twins part, I'm loking forward to where this halloween theme goes. I really like the space effect too, you should do that more often, the reflection I only noticed after you stated it. Batbrick Away!
  20. Congratulations friend! You truly do deserve this honour, you are one of, if not the most friendly and participating person on Eurobricks I know, so goodluck and well done, thanks for everything you taught me and remember that you can never be too deserving! And congratulations Whitefang, I hope you do well in tihs and thanks for all the comments and banter you've given me, you too really deserve this! Batbrick Away!
  21. And seriously, how awesome was my version? Go for it, in the meant time I still need to make those extra Batman suits. Though I did make Mr Freeze's armoured truck recently and a Scarecrow vig. Definitely, love the idea of a mixed pack, sounds brilliant. I really hope Lego goes full super saiyan (just go with it) next year and really puts everything in to the Batman theme. SHH exclusives would be awesome too, would allow for plenty figs that could be deemed fan-only territory like with the Market, except with Lady Shiva and all those other characters nobody ever heard of. Batbrick Away!
  22. I missed you! Glad to have you back (for now), are you planning on any Halloween creations? I reckon I'll enter the contest, and I've got a few Bat Halloween vigs lined up. Well done, Finally! I ended up getting the speedboat set and Turbocar set. I doubt I'll get the last two and I'll only get the advent calender if it comes here. The speedboat set is quite good, the boat needs serious modding but I see a lot of potential with the dual design. The buoy is fantastic though, I love the sharks too, so fabulous, they'll definitely be of much use. The fig selection is quite nice too. Turbocar Chase I think is my favourite set of the whole line, because it really encompasses everything the theme is about, with the cheesy villains, siren and awesome car. The ejector seat works much better than I thought too, and I am SO adding that siren to my improved Arkham. Spy Clops is brilliant too, I may not have all the sets in the line, but I have all the figs and - in my mind at least - the essential bits. No, I think it is deviant art, some of the people there are amazing. I do agree, though I'd love for DC to retire him in to a coma for a year or something so writers could do something original. But I agree that most people would write a Joker story, though personally I'd be not interested at all in writing one. Considering i'm interested in becoming a comic book writer this is quite unique, I really want to do a "Tales of the Mad Hatter" with three stories with about three issues each detailing a story with Mad Hatter as the villain, I've got some great ideas. Exactly, I have to commend Matt Wagner especially for realising that instead of always pushing forwards in the mythos, sometimes its good to go back and fill in the gaps like with his Monster Men/Mad Monk duology (forget what they are referred to as in duology form). Ah well, I was exaggerating btw before, hope you aren't offended But it is an amazing run, I'm getting it for Christmas, but more on that later. I don't know, is it really THAT blatant? That's fine, hope you like my edits, and I love that you are getting characters to talk more. I'd like to see perhaps a couple of quirks in a few characters or repeated phrases that aren't from Hartman too. Thanks for the Harvey mention too, I don't know any Harvey's so if I ever have a son I'm calling him Harvey Dent McCormack. And if they're girl-boy twins the other is Harley Quinn McCormack. What? Kevin Smith called his daughter Harley after her! Looking forward to them, send me them two at a time I reckon, I get them in one go that way. Origins sounds interesting too, just save a juicy one for me! Oh yes, but what I meant is that in a lot of eps you don't even SEE them until the end. I love the Mole frankly, but my favourite Thunderbird is either the giant green slug (Dad's name for it) or the sub - Thunderbird 4. Just watched the Sun Probe, where they have to stop a, er, Sun Probe from colliding with the, er, sun. It was quite good, but the space ones were never that great to me, and the reporter was annoying. Thunderbird 3 is badass machine though, and like every ep it is thoroughly entertaining, though a bit more dated than most. Thoughts? No I haven't, is it any good? I haven't really heard much good about it. I kind of like it that way because frankly, what can you make with FAB? Spoil away please, I'm most likely getting it for Christmas as I spent my last pennies on the Lego sets and a new Bible. The five comics I'm getting for Christmas are Batman and the Monster Men, Black and White volume 1, Detective by Paul Dini, Strange Apparitions and A Lonely Place of Dying. Read any? The last two can't be ordered by the uni book shop as they are out of print, but I am ordering Strange Apparitions from Amazon. Lonely is uber uber uber hard to get, so fingers crossed! I also might be getting BTAS vol 4, which means everything is Batman related, which is at once awesome and in another rather sad Batbrick Away!
  23. Great new comics KDog! Love the ice one, Shwartz as usual is a great laugh, and its great to see Ice Babe again, she was number one on my list of underused characters, glad to see you brought her back. The other one is even better, Valkyrie being my favourite character it was hilarious seeing her really confused for a moment, love Vewaand going a bit kookoo too. Which photo format are you using now? Batbrick Away!
  24. Great review TheBrickster, I really wish I had this and other freaky studio sets. The Werewolf head would be so useful for some of my mocs, and the figs are great too. I'm not to hot on that tree however, but overall the set looks really nice, thanks! Batbrick Away!
  25. Who says it was a man? (Though it most likely is!) I love this little creation, such a cool little thing. The touches like the red bulbs on the walls, flags and the little frog are really great. Nice job! Batbrick Away!
