  1. Very neat NewRight! I love the elongated look of it and how it diverges from the designs of the actual sets into something quite unique. Batbrick Away!
  2. Just to join in on the wiki discussion before the plug is pulled, I have to say it gets a bad rap it doesn't deserve, most information is spot-on, it's usually just pop culture, current issues and speculative titles that are unreliable since a lot of editors want to have their own take. Anyhoo I digress, I would love for Agents to return but only with a new faction with a new base. That is a new evil faction and maybe a reinvented Agents look. Still if the theme dies I won't be too shook up, I think it was a perfect example of a great theme that benefited from being short lived. Batbrick Away!
  3. A fantastic subtheme you've created for us TheBrickster and I thank you for sharing it with us Your photo-editing skills really stand out here, you've managed to get all the odd angles of the different sets to look cohesive i this one pic, was it hard? The train is fantastic too, I especially love the cannon carriage, good use of long tan tiles there. I'd have to say though that ultimately my favourite is the broken down defense fort, I just love the aesthetics of it and it really works. Batbrick Away!
  4. Very nice TheBrickster as I've come to expect! The tan already puts the make up a bit for me what with my unhealthy obsession with it Despite the fact that you didn't get the black door I feel the grey one works quite well and adds a lighter touch, though I think the black one still would've been better. Batbrick Away!
  5. Another great confederate creation TheBrickster, I really love how you've use those black curved pieces. The light grey bars work great, which I'm surprised at, since normally light grey and black don't work together very well. The only thing I'm not happy with is the smaller front wheels. I get the look you were going for but I just think they are too miniscule. Still though another great entry, I'm off to comment on your others! Batbrick Away!
  6. Of course it does, many actors occasionally dip into big budget films simply to continue working in less successful Indy films. Chiwetel Ejiofor in particular plays parts in many unsuccessful or less successful films. Just because an actor is paid to act doesn't mean they will be successful simply doing non-mainstream films, a sad part of the industry to say the least. You miss my point. A message that I got doesn't mean the message didn't contradict the rest of the film, nor mean it wasn't delivered in an awful and cringe-inducing way. You also seem to be mistaken on how I enjoy my films. I don't expect expert characterisation, plotting and themes in a film, but I do expect it to be good. If it is good, I'll enjoy it. If a film is bad, I'll only enjoy it if it is of the "so-bad-it's-good" variety. This was not of that variety, I couldn't enjoy it because I had seen it all before - and done better, was extremely bored by the movie, found all the camera shots dull and the whole thing came across to me like a big appeal to the lowest denominator. Had it been exciting I would have rejoiced at finally having another enjoyably popcorn disaster film. I don't look for a film to make complete sense, I look for a film to succeed at what it is trying to do, as well as be a good film in its own right. Indiana Jones doesn't have well-developed characters nor a strong plot, but is an example of how a popcorn film can be made wonderfully through exciting scenes, enjoyable dialog and likeable characters. 2012 had none of these for me, the scenes were dull and lifeless, the dialog was the same thing I've heard from every Roland Emmerich film yet somehow even worse, and I hated each of the characters so much I was hoping they'd all die in the first half-hour and be replaced by new ones. I tried to enjoy it for what it was, but when what it was turned out to be a bad film in my eyes, I couldn't enjoy it, much the same way I couldn't enjoy Revenge of the Fallen despite liking the first Transformers. However, if you did enjoy 2012, more power to you, I like that you can still recognise the faults yet still enjoy it, Lord knows I tried. Batbrick Away!
  7. What does that even mean? Batbrick Away!
  8. Point to this man, it was basically every disaster movie cliche rolled into one with performances from actors that were only in the movie so they could fund their own ventures, with the message being the importance of individual life despite the fact that the audience is entertained the vast majority through by the sight of famous landmarks crushing hundreds. And don't even get me started on that car chasing earthquake Batbrick Away!
  9. Noooo! Date Night is delayed again! Still, I like this one. I did laugh at Amarillo's mini-monologue, it was just like a 50's superhero comic where the characters would always announce what they were doing as they were doing it And it looks like the well-spoken dragons are back to wage war on the Knights of Awesome! (best knight title ever by the by) Batbrick Away!
  10. Yes! I'm all over that turtle backpack, but not sure they would make crab hands since minifigs already have crabhands Batbrick Away!
  11. *phew* thanks I'm embarrassed to say I only noticed it after I posted that a porn virus had recently infected my computer, and thought it might have something to do with that But it turned out to be the one I thought it was anyway. Batbrick Away!
  12. You make a good and persuasive argument that certainly has me convinced of this fact. My only qualm is that it took far too long to read your review, try shortening it next time. Sarcasm mode switched off, why do you think (emphasis on that over "know") Toy Story is overrated? Batbrick Away!
  13. Fixed for you. Batbrick Away!
  14. Wait, so it's still a normal minifig right? Batbrick Away!
  15. Very neat Nexus7! I especially love the way you've integrated the colour scheme there, and the use of windows is fantastic. My favourite part however is the doors, which look perfect! Batbrick Away!
  16. Hmmmm, looks quite good, but if you pardon my saying I think it comes across as a bit too much of a spend of money. By that I mean that while it is certainly a great sight to behold, I think the repetitive structure leaves much to be desired, atleast for me, "samey" if you will. But of course that's my opinion, and more power to you if you're happy with it. Batbrick Away!
  17. Thanks for the great review Ja7on! I really like the look of this, great white parts that I need since I used so much for my Iceberg Lounge. More importantly the minifigs look fantastic, I'll be certainly sure to get that sweet Blacktron green Kranxx and that helmet is a must. Thanks again. Batbrick Away!
  18. My runner-up choices are great minifigs, use of great parts and loving western movies. however my biggest reason would be the colours; those used in the original western theme was so varied but was very "earthy" colours with loads of browns, blacks and tans....oh goodness tan, tan is for me! My big two is great minifigs and tan Call the the latter ridiculous if you will. Batbrick Away!
  19. Sorry to tell you this and shatter your psyche, but they really aren't your thoughts; I've been controlling your thoughts for some time now, Muhahaha! :skull: Seriously though I could possible see it happening, but ultimately I don't think it will as it seems TLC bases their games on either long-standing themes or famous franchises that have longstanding success. Batbrick Away!
  20. Yeah, not a huge fan of the long legs or arms myself, as I was perfectly happy with the Bane fig even though he was meant ot be taller than Batman be half. Batbrick Away!
  21. Thanks for the review! Though I was quite excited for this set at first there is now a chance I will pass on it. The most valuable parts of the set for me was the blue fire piece and the minifig, but if that comes in an impulse or cheaper set I'll perhaps skip this altogether unless it is very cheap. Plus I have no idea what to do with those rock monsters. Batbrick Away!
  22. Colour me interested, especially if it is filled with glorious, glorious tan! Batbrick Away!
  23. Very neat addition to the Confederate theme TheBrickster! I'm assuming the writing is edited on, but it is done well. I think I like the bigger amount of brown more myself, and the pose of the soldier with the sword is neat too. Batbrick Away!
  24. Yeah, I also think it is that I have an instinct to spend less than his year, instead ordering more from Bricklink o save money. Batbrick Away!
  25. Yeah, I think I'll go with that. Batbrick Away!
