  1. Hey, near-future doesn't change anything, it doesn't mean 1984 isn't still a terrifying novel or escape from New York an awesome movie. I think what I love most about these sets is that apart from King Cthulhu himself, the sharkhead guy and mantaman both appear in really cheap sets which means I don't have to shell out a heap of money to get them. I'll definitely be getting Cthulhu though, this guy is the best minfig since the Indy or Batmanones that I simply cannot pass up. Batbrick Away!
  2. Thanks for the pics guys, I am really loving those figs, and if the sets are too expensive I am totally ordering most of them off of bricklink as well as some camels. These guys will be incredibly useful for Batman's enemy Ra's Al Ghul's army, so many great fleshie faces. Loving that white cape too. Batbrick Away!
  3. Thanks again everyone! Thanks friend, really appreciated! I'm glad people like the "rusted" look, considering I had to use the brown due to a lack of pieces And I hope to flood the forum with a few more Batmocs! Thanks Ras 74, my mocing skills aren't that great so my main aim is to spice up my creations with some details. Thanks a heap Big Cam, the tentacle thing is actually just a root, but thinking about it the idea of the being a little more than just Croc down there is intriguing. I don't think I'll be taking this apart, atleast anytime soon as I have plans for my creations currently. Thanks Sir Dillion, I'm not a huge fan of Killer Croc either though his fig is great, but I'm planning something special, though it might not come about till late next year. Yay! Great to see you bud, long time no see! I'm glad you like it, I always appreciate you commenting Thanks CommanderFoz, though I'm afraid there is a chance this "secret" won't even be made, and if it is it's about a year off. Batbrick Away!
  4. Yay Red is back! Good to see a female character other than Sun to get some attention, espeically since Ice Babe is being kept in cold storage, budum tish! Sorry, I couldn't resist Like that you've actually given her red hair, neat touch there, good use of that hairpiece. I love the robot's ramblings too, it is adorable. An Galanos is bald, I had forgotten about that, I'm guessing he just shaves it in-universe? Why is there to a story dedicated to his baldness already? Batbrick Away!
  5. Hey everyone, I've posted several topics of Batman figs that I can't be bothered checking up upon, so I'm just going to post all of my Batman figs including updated ones and modded ones. And the prostitute. Enjoy! First up we have the Gotham City Police Department main cast, from left to right: Crispus Allen, Commissioner Gordon, Havery Bullock and Renee Montoya. I'm really happy with the suit choice for Harvey, and plan to use Indy's coat from the Venice set for Gordon. Credit to the Penguin for Montoya's face, which I felt needed to be more serious: Now the Gotham SWAT, which are based on the dark deco designs of Batman: The Animated Series, though these guys may be replaced by the space Police unifroms in the future: This is from the earlier days of Batman's career. We have left to right Flass - Gordon's corrupt partner with Green Beret training, not to be confused with the crappy Begins movie version, young Gordon and his daughter, would-be Batgirl and Oracle, Barbara Gordon: These are some of Gotham's lowlife hoods, as well as one victim with a torn suit who is smirking because, well because I ran out of flesh heads to use Smirking to cope with trauma maybe? Gotham's first families, with Carmine Falcone and his rival Sal Maroni pictured at the front. I really think both their faces suit quite well. And the back left guy looks suspiciously like a smiling character before a certain dip... The Arkham crew, consisting of crazed inmates, security (not pictured as they are actual Lego figs) and particularly Doctor Jeremiah Arkham and Proffesor Hugo Strange, the latter of which some will know as a villain who becomes obsessed with Batman. Anyone who has seen comic Hugo will see that Ock's face is perfect for him: Here is Lucius Fox, CEO of Wayne Enterprises and provider of Bat gadgets, and Summer Gleeson, Gotham reporter: The Joker gang, which includes clown goons, jester goon, slicked-back-hair-Joker, Fedora Joker, Harley Quinn with proper glove colours and their pet hyenas Bud and Lou: The Mr Freeze crew, which includes better suit details blue Mr Freeze, and grey and black clear dome Mr Freeze, which I am really proud of. The jacket henchman is also handy, glad I bought that Taun Taun set: Here is the Penguin's staff, including his Iceberg Lounge Chef, personal assistant, Iceberg Lounge valet boy as well as the Leader Penguin: The gunbrella, which I originally made as a tribute to fellow member and friend; The Penguin: Mad Hatter (kindly made by LuxorV, my main regret being that my printer has crappy colour quality), Black Mask, firefly (who I am very proud with, especially with that new flame piece) and Suit Riddler complete with my own custom question mark cane (which one day will use discreet stickytape rather than overt blue tac ) Poison Ivy with sexy new hairdo with her plant goons, who I like better this way rather than using troll faces, as they seem more plant-like and eerie without faces: Talia Al Ghul with sexy new exotic dress, jungle adventure Bruce and the mysterious Ra's Al Ghul: Original with better shot of Ra's, which dress works better? Out-of-costume Tim Drake - The third Robin found in the sets, barechested Bruce, and out-of-costume Dick Grayson - first Robin and currently Nightwing: Robin's black and red costume from the comics, Shadow Batman (I use this Batman as the classic "shadow" with just white eyes often shown in animation) and Batman's undercover mob identity Matches Malone (whose face is a perfect match for the comics, awesome job of Brainbox for bringing it up) Two-Face's twin silent henchmen; Romulus and Remus, I'm happy with their streamlined look. And my personal favourites, Red Hood - which was the Joker's criminal identity before his chemical bath and also his heroic mirror self from a different usiverse as seen in the awesome Brave and the Bold cartoon, and Lady Shiva, the ultimate master of martial art who has come to blows with Batman numerous times and nearly killed him: Just a point, the Red Hood's hood is a classic space helmet, so the other side has a visor hole in it so call cheats if oyu want, but I'm still very happy with how he turned out and when looking at him just turn the helmet to fit the angle I'm looking at him with. Thanks for looking everyone and comments are really appreciated! And as promised, here is the prositute: What? Not satisfied with that? Fine! Have some Cross-Dressing Lightning Babe instead! You know you all missed him/her! Guy with purple hair = you Batbrick will invent the Crossdressing Lightning Babe Squad!
  6. Oh this is a wonderful creation here TheBrickster, you never cease to amaze me with how many ideas you manage to pull from the western style genre, ghouls or no. This really seems like a proper Lego set, and I would definitely buy this in a heartbeat. The little flag is a great touch, as are the matching hands this time The boat has this great simple look to it, but the details are always appreciated such as the rifle rack, cannon, steam engine and cannon ammo pile. If there's on criticism from me it's that the "below deck" seems quite bare. This is a very promising subtheme from you and I'm really enjoying it, do you plan to continue it? Batbrick Away!
  7. Hey, that's quite neat, I can really see that influence in it now, I love grotesque style that amps up the scary! Fair enough, though personally I have no issue in changing hands. But burying Legoredo under boxes!? For shame sir! For shame! Love the Wild West pic edit too, it actually really suite both versions, y'know, apart form the skeletons and all What program do you use? It has a really nice "clean" feel. Batbrick Away!
  8. Very nice Peppermint_M, I love the SNOT techniques you've used especially with the dishes on the front of the Variable Fighter. I like the Bubblemint better though for its delightful colour scheme and looking more structurally sound. Batbrick Away!
  9. Fools! The cake is a lie! No seriously, thanks ofr the comments everyone! Thanks, funnily enough I wasn't going to have grey until I realised I didn't have enough light grey slopes to finish it, but I agree it turned out better. Thanks for the criticism harrysnapperorgans, while the bike has some mods thatm ake it less plain than it was, I do agree. I have made a mod of the Harley Quinn set batbike, but I will check out the suggestion you offered, appreciated I can understand being unsure of the light grey, but I think it oyu saw what it looked like as all dark grey you might change your mind, as a miniature test version I did looked to one-toned. Thanks a heap for the comment as always Whitefang! I'm definitely going to be constructing some more Batvillain hideouts, and am halfway through making Wayne Manor, my biggest creatio yet (though my creation's a mostly small). I don't think they'll be modular, but I do hope certain parts of them like the interchangeable road in this one to exist. Actually that's just a woman in a head Burqa, I wanted to show a bit of cultural diversity. Thanks a heap for the front page TheBrickster! Really appreciated! I'm glad you like the roof panels, they weren't all that useful to me and I felt it worked well as the road for this part. The manhole was frustrating to design but I'm glad I did, it adds a fun feature. The mobster vehicle is great for Batman yes, though I am planning to mods it soon. Batbrick AWay!
  10. Hey EB, it's been a long time since I posted a new Batman creation, or heck, a new creation full stop. That's changing now as I'm planning to construct some sweet Gotham venues, starting with Killer Croc's Sewer Lair: (Please excuse some of the lesser quality photos as my camera is pretty iffy) I always wanted to do this for Croc, not because he's my favourite character or anything, far from it. The reason was that so many great bits of Batman stories can involve the sewers, which seems to simply crawling with escaping villains. It's also part of a big plan I'm establishing that shall remain mysteriously secretive for now: The back is somewhat less elegant, but the "roof", that is the road, can be taken off fairly easily and used as a normal setup, whch is quite useful. The side walls also have this feature though I don't show it in any of the pics because I was lazy while taking them A glimpse inside the absurdly spacious yet atmospheric sewer, complete with creepy-crawly and rat: Crocodiles in the sewers a myth eh? This one begs to differ: The rest of the wall: Killer Croc's lair includes a mysterious key, safe likely filled with stolen goods, desk with fish, crystal, drink and money, barrels and crates filled with food and weapons, torches and an escape hatch down another tunnel: Snarl. Batman investigates a manhole... Dives down... Beats up a crocodile... And prepares to beat up another one. Hope you guys enjoyed, and comments really appreciated, thanks for looking in! Batbrick Away!
  11. Awesome post-apoc stuff here Sir Dillion, I espeically love your building, the deteriorated look of it with the planks and holes in the walls really works, as does the bits of tan colour. The cars are also great, I like seeing post-apoc with a far more realistic bent, the battering ram front on the ute is my favourite part. Batbrick Away!
  12. I know what you mean man, it just hits me as soon as I stand up to go somewhere. I always build mocs in my room on the carpet with no distractions such as music (don't listen to music anyway really) or TV. However, sometimes I build with my beautiful cat Smokie in the room, who often stops me for a couple of seconds as she walks over what I'm building without knocking over anything, and will occasionally watch me. I also have an annoying tendency to be very slow making anything, I'm extremely specific as to how I want something to look, even colour wise and especially with the lines between bricks. Hence why it takes me so long ot post anything on here and why I always walk away from 2 hours work with something barely two bricks high. Batbrick Away!
  13. Great work Dennimator, I really like the Dagannoth, except for the grey leg connections. Good use of that mask and spine piece. You photos asren't really up-to-scratch, but I love that you made a cool little entrance with weed and boards, it's a great little touch. Batbrick Away!
  14. Okay, now you're just showing off. Batbrick Away!
  15. Yes they look just like the ghosts I've seen in real life. Great creation TheBrickster, I'm constantly amazed by just how many supernatural concepts you can squeeze out of Grave Stone without it getting stale (mind you, do normal people still live there? I've yet to see a not-haunted place ) The boat could've come out as too odd loking in shape but you've really pulled it off. The little details as always impress, my favourites being the trumpet, glasses, gun and paddle racks and the sextant. Those dark orange posts work really well too. The only major gripe I have is that the ghosts have yellow hands, which I don't think really works. Batbrick Away!

    Fireworks

Who? You mean the guy who failed to blow up parliament and was promptly executed? Look, I can understand people enjoying historical trivia, but getting annoyed at people who don't know about something that is completely irrelevant to their own lives? I think it'd be better to adopt a "Don't know it? Fair enough, but it's interesting" stance. Batbrick Away!

    Fireworks

Fireworks are powered by awesome. We sometimes stockpile a heap of really good ones with one of our neighbours for some celebration, but haven't done it in recent memory. On New Years there's quite a blast (get it? ) but the dog is terrified of them, but since I don't like him that much and prefer my cat Smokie, it's a good laugh seeing him dart under the shack. Batbrick Away!
  18. Wow! That's amazing! Not being well versed in ship knowledge I'll simply say that the bow of the ship is amazingly detailed, and all the sail work is fantastic, very intricate indeed. The way you've melded the brickbuilt portions of the ship into the base pieces also works astoundingly. Thanks a heap for posting. A marvellous teamwork job from you Bonaparte and Captain Green Hair. Batbrick Away!
  19. I hoped thought you'd be back! Great little tie-in comic there, I had forgotten you included The Doctor as a part of oyur universe. I'm guessing then that Ronald's story is not over in terms of that arc then? Favourite line: "You didn't...yet!", sounds a lot like Minority Report, where the cops would arrest someone for "committing a crime in the future!" Batbrick's Away!
  20. I think the one on the Winter Toy Shop worked best; Failing that, the first one oyu linked looks quite good I think. Batbrick's Brain Broke!
  21. Nice and simple, I quite like it, the use of the Agents vault and details on the desks inside is great. I'm not sure that red is a great colour though, I think it could work in smaller amounts mixed in with a just dominant grey, which is pretty similar to most banks I've seen. Batbrick Away!
  22. Yep, definitely the Master of Mini Mocs. Love these little automated vehicles Manta Man, do you keep them together or take them apart once finished? My favourite one is the first one, the use of those orange pieces and crystal compartment works really well. The armoured one is also great, but I'm not huge on the last one, I think it needs something that is practical, carrying pickaxes is pretty useless. Batbrick Away!
  23. This is one of the most adorably brilliant mocs I've seen! You're definitely on your way to becoming Master of the Mini Mocs Manta Man! (Try saying that ten times as fast ) The fact that you've still included a heap of details and greebling is a testament to this. Batbrick Away!
  24. Awesome creation MantaMan, I love the use of silver, and the red works surprisingly well. It has that awesome tricked-out look, I love the spoilers especially. Batbrick Away!
  25. Huh? Your words confuse and frighten me! Batbrick's brain broke!
