Brilliant model, I remember building a plastic kit of this model as a child, and I simply can't tell the difference. The hull looks really smooth with the slopes and the small detail on this large scale MOC is outstanding.

This looks great! Can you tell us where you found these and perhaps share some clear pictures of how the wires are hidden? Thanks!

More Dutchmen are always welcome. Enjoy the forum!

That looks great already! Hope you take some better pictures for your next update.

Are there any pictures of this new set? Congratulations Pedro!

Does anybody else like Motorcycles around here?
Captain Green Hair replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Community
Hands off my girl dog! You should post a video with sound if you have the chance, would very much like to hear it! 125 bhp is enough, I'll settle for 75 on my next bike. With the recent postmen strikes, I don't think it will be in soon, but thanks in advance man! Don't give her the keys then! Same here, just pulled out the battery last Tuesday and I already miss her.... -
You've asked for my opinion, but I'll wait until you have added decks and special techniques. Right now it looks like a flagship with 4 masts and 2 cabins to me. You should be able to find good reference material in here and some other sites, I also strongly suggest you start reading books about ships. I wish you all the best on the build!

W.I.P. Light Frigate (still without a name)
Captain Green Hair replied to Matteo1130's topic in Pirate MOCs
I like the colour scheme you've chosen and the line is already pretty good! At the bow the gaps between the bricks look somewhat large, perhaps it can be improved with adding an extra hinge? I'd change the brown slopes for normal bricks as well, but that could be just a matter of personal preference. Keep it up! -
Lego Master Building Academy (MBA)
Captain Green Hair replied to Darth Jar Jar's topic in General LEGO Discussion
100 dollars sounds pretty cheap to me. 1.000+ bricks / 100 = 0,10 dollar per piece + you get a lot of reference material and books showing you the best techniques out there. I think this is a good program for beginning builders, so I vote yes! -
This is an interesting topic, as I am experimenting with PF myself at the moment, so thanks for sharing Rien! Bad English isn't a problem, but lazy typing is. Could you at least try to use a capitol at the beginning of a sentence and have proper punctuation, i.e. a dot at the end of a sentence? I am a high school drop out, as I didn't care much for school either, but I really do my best to post decently on the forum.

Can't believe I've missed this thread, haven't missed your artwork though, it is all over the forum! Your drawings are great, thanks for your input Jebediahs!

The best LEGO sailing ships (minifig illusion scale)
Captain Green Hair replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Can't think of any ships to add at the moment, I think we can get a top 10 out of this. I wouldn't consider my Denise to be minifig illusion scale, as it would dwarf all other ships. -
Making trains run properly is a pain indeed, I still don't master it either. Though I like the smart SNOT works and general look of the engine, I somehow feel it isn't finished yet. The main reason for this is the missing front wheels, there's a big gap there now..

WIP Teaser of an American Frigate
Captain Green Hair replied to Admiral Bejaune's topic in Pirate MOCs
This is turning into a real beauty, the sails, rigging and line look great! Hope I am allowed to make a few remarks: -The window of the gallery looks a bit too much angled, it might look better if it were a bit more straight. -I'm missing a 3d headrail and the vertical supports on it. -Some of the rigging looks somewhat loose, but I guess you will fix that? Can't wait to see her under full sail! -
Those are excellent buildings you've created and I already love the way your layout looks. Thanks for sharing and keep it up!

I must admit I haven't been following closely, but welcome to the club Sieggy! Stash your bike is plain awesome, did you already install the carburettor kit to make it sound like the older Harleys? Here's some pictures from my last ride in nice weather, with all the last modifications: -
My hat is off, you rock!

You've build a very nice and smooth looking loco Duq, I'd love to see it run sometime!
-
Congrats BC, you've earned it!
-
Though it is perhaps still a bit crude, I really like the way you've put together this preliminary stern! The balcony looks great and it all flows nicely with the rest of the ship. If I may be so free to comment on the side of the ship: I'd make the middle 3 or 4 steps straight to improve the curve. Keep it up!

They are hard to make, but try Brickshelf, there's quite a few on there.

What about this Train Set Sale?
Captain Green Hair replied to uitzetter's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
It says 189,99 for me when I click the link? Thanks for sharing, but please do not bump topics just a day later to get replies. -
Now I'm just wondering how you get to know the inside so well? Looks like a good start and the use of grill plates is a smart idea to get some detail in the walls.
