Looks like you're off to a pretty good start here, I really like the colours you are using! I do think your walls should slope inwards a bit more, like in this picture:
-
So that should impress us Bluecoats? You've got to be kidding me!
-
That's a very decent army you have created, I like the bearskin hats a lot! Your photo skills are admirable as well, great job! The only thing that I don't really like is the gold visors on the shako's, IMO the shako's are fine as they are.

That's a beautiful ship! My only suggestion would be to use 1 window on the side, instead of 2. That would make it appear longer, now it is a bit short looking.

Build a frigate with Captain Green Hair
Captain Green Hair replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
You've made a very nice frigate Trubal, the background is awesome as well! Feedback from me would be to make the stern slightly sloped and to make the windows flat with it, rather then standing inwards. Unless you make a balcony of course. -
Pirate set collection For sale
Captain Green Hair replied to asavage's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
So let's see, You're a new member, we don't know you. Your story sounds horrible, but we have no way of telling if it is true. There are no pictures or other places where these sets are offered by you. You can't show us any feedback on your person, anywhere? Your spelling is terrible. I may sound horrible, but no sensible member on this site will buy your sets in this way. And they are nice sets. -
Yargh, now me was hoping for an update as well! But indeed these big lumps take a lot of time, and bricks for that matter... Let us hope for a speedy return of mister Teddy and not spam up his thread with wishes.

Oh yeah, that is very original and cool looking! Well done.

I guess you were so busy with your layout, you forgot all about Google.

What is your favorite Service Station in Lego City
Captain Green Hair replied to lightningtiger's topic in LEGO Town
Why is the one from the Town Plan set not in here? That is definitely my favourite! -
Pirates of the Caribbean Contest - MOC Forum Division Voting
Captain Green Hair replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
A lot of good entries for this contest! But I have to divide five points, so here goes: Hammelgeier, attack of the Kraken - 2 points This is my favourite, as it is such a complete and lively scene, well done! Yatkuu, encounter at the blacksmith's shop - 1 point A very recognizable and detailed scene. Fat Tony, where is the rest of the crew? - 1 point Flawless picture of the scene. Sebeus Iniwum, hello beastie! - 1 point A very lively and detailed scene, too bad the Kraken isn't fully finished. Good luck everybody! -
I wonder why I haven't commented on this model yet, it is really beautiful! I agree with you about the railings, they are fine as they are. Phred's suggestion to use curved slopes on the hull is a good one IMO. Lastly I'd like it better if the white stripe on the side of the hull was sticking out half a stud, instead of a whole stud. The use of pins on the rigging may have been done before, I'm not going to claim that as mine, but thanks anyway!

Are there more Mini-figs than there are humans?
Captain Green Hair replied to Hrw-Amen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
They do outnumber me in my house! -
Saw it on BS yesterday, great! Did the herbs survive the last saturday?
-
It's not very black, is it?
-
I agree! Is there a template!
-
Wow, that is a lot of blue baseplates! Absolutely brilliant and original display you guys have made! I love the ''flying'' train, the brilliant airships and the small detail. I do wonder what the guy was shooting at with the crash dummies?
-
Brilliant entry Tony, good luck!

Very little MOC feedback - what to do about it
Captain Green Hair replied to Lasse D's topic in Community
Hmm, mostly I post when I have some points for improvement. If a model is perfect, like a lot of yours, I just don't know what to say other then; awesome! In the last case a MOC can be so worse I rather not look at it. -
Ship-of-the-Line Under Construction
Captain Green Hair replied to Dread Pirate Wesley's topic in Pirate MOCs
Well, the upper black part at the stern doesn't follow the curve of your yellow line. Next to that I think the black part is too high. It would improve a lot if it was slightly lower and follows the curve. Though it does curve very gradually, I think a bit more curve would improve things even more. I know your gallery windows are just for show, but they are too low as they are now. As you can see in the reference, the top window would be above the gun deck. I hope that clarifies my first post, I wish you all the best with the build! -
Ship-of-the-Line Under Construction
Captain Green Hair replied to Dread Pirate Wesley's topic in Pirate MOCs
It looks fine, but I would make the whole stern curve up rather then having it run straight to the back. That might make it look less bulky and massive there, looking close at the reference image shows the same. Good luck on it! -
English Fort in the Caribbean
Captain Green Hair replied to On Stranger Tides's topic in Pirate MOCs
Though it might be a bit plain, I absolutely love the shape! -
And how much time does it take to stack them all? Excellent find, thanks for sharing!

You call yourself scammer? Damn you're expensive, good luck!
