  1. What c Shipping method did you pick? I only got standard, still in the warehouse.
  2. Up in the UK, just got my order in. Can't wait, not even a Pirates fan but it looks like an incredible set. EDIT: Payment taken but no confirmation email, and it doesn't show up in my order history. Is this normal or will I need to contact customer service on the morning?
  3. Any idea when this will be going up? I really hope I can grab one before it runs out (if it does).
  4. The Imperial Dropship from last year came with 5 minifigures and was $20 so I guess 4 clones and 2 droids for $30 isn't too farfetched, especially if some of the figures are duplicates. Very curious to see the figure lineup for the AAT.
  5. I feel like Star Wars sets with decent amounts of interior space very seldom happen, so seeing the Razor Crest have so much is a very nice surprise. It does seem a bit empty at the back though, but that's nothing a bit of modding can't solve. Throw in a weapon rack and a few control panels and you're golden. There's suppose to be a sleeping area too if I recall from the set description correctly.
  6. Pre-ordered, the Razor Crest itself looks great and The Child minifigure looks incredible. £120 isn't the worst price, it looks like there are a few larger and specialised pieces and there's the head mould for The Child as well. 38cm long and over 1000 is decent too.
  7. I bought this set the other week and while I think it's decent, I felt it looked a bit too long and flat? I've felt this way with all of the Landspeeders aside from the original 1999 version funnily enough. I did mod it though to make it shorter. I also think this and Obi-Wan's hut should have been a single set, but maybe that's just me
  8. I tried mocking up a mandible with physical bricks and it does seem like it will work, so I think I will just have the mandibles disconnected (or at least only partially connected) in the LDD file. And thank you! I've made a tiny bit of progress since then, I'm starting to fill in the outer mandible and I've made a bit of progress on the docking port. Still a very long way to go yet!
  9. Oh thank you so much! I will definitely need to give this a try with my Falcon when I get it back, I have my heart set on the idea of bringing UCS buliding techniques across to it since I cannot afford that set.
  10. What are the chances we get a remake of The Burrow this year? The original 2010 version is one of my favourite HP sets, it would be great to see it remake (potentially at a higher price point with more pieces).
  11. Sorry for the late response, I managed to take a screenshot of what I meant. The red ratcheted hinge just won't line up with any studs, I've tried many solutions such as altering where the hinge is attached but nothing has worked so far. I'm not sure if it's because the way I've designed it is physically impossible or it's LDD being finicky. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  12. Apologies for the bump, but I'm currently designing my own plus-sized Falcon (as I cannot afford the UCS one) in LDD, and I'm having trouble with the mandibles. I'm using the same Technic method as the UCS model, however I cannot seem to get them to attach in more than once place. The shorter length of the mandibles doesn't seem to be playing nicely with the angle used by the UCS model. Does anyone have any ideas of how to connect them in a study way?
  13. Okay great, thanks everyone! I think I'll opt to get a smallish table to go next to my desk, and then Bricklink the parts for the Efferman stand somewhere down the line. On another note, I've downloaded the LXF for the set and taken a look at the interior. Reading through this thread has already spawned some inspiration, including the sleeping quarters/galley and some floor tiling. I don't feel confident enough with the idea of changing the technical frame, so I'll likely work within the confines of that. Finances permitting, I should be able to finally pick the Falcon up early January!
  14. Regarding the Efferman stand, how deep of a shelf will I need? I'm currently trying to decide if it would want to store it on top of my wardrobe, or put up a shelf specifically for it.
  15. This is exactly the kind of thing I would be interested in, thank you! How does it and the Falcon hold up from displaying it like this, I'm assuming there's no warping or bowing pieces? Also another question, how easy is it to add more interior space? I would love to have the sleeping quarters.
  16. I saw an article the other day claiming that, according to Rebelscum, it's rumoured that the UCS Falcon is scheduled to retire next December. https://www.thebrickfan.com/rumored-list-of-retiring-lego-star-wars-sets-2019/ Is this credible at all? If so, I may need to break the bank and get it soon providing that Christmas doesn't destroy my wallet. I've always wanted a UCS Falcon so I don't think I could bear to miss out on it.
  17. With the talks of imminent discontinuation, I am contemplating picking this up early January if my local LEGO Store still have it in stock, but I'm torn. On the one hand, I'm a sucker for location based sets and I loved the Death Star playset (despite never actually playing with it and just displaying it). On top of that the minifigures are great, as are the Cloud Car and mid-scale Slave 1. I always wanted the original Cloud City set too. However, there's just something about the main build that doesn't quite hit the mark for me. It's difficult to describe, but it does put me in an awkward position. Any chances LEGO will discount it before discontinuation? That might sway me.
  18. Sorry if this is somewhat off-topic, but I'm considering buying this set but I only have a small room (and budget for that matter since I'm a student) in a shared house and have determined the best way to display it would be vertically (facing either sideways or upward). I was wondering if anyone has figured out a relatively simple way to pull this off? And is it simple enough to mod the removable panels so they aren't simply resting in place?
  19. The Republic Fighter Tank is the first LEGO set in a while that has made me want to rush out and buy it on release. Everything about it seems pretty much spot on to me. Design-wise it looks great, includes four minifigures (two of which are exclusive) and has a surprising price-per-part ratio for the (excellent) price. I love Republic and Imperial ground vehicles, and I was kicking myself for not picking up the original version so I'm happy they are remaking it, even if it is smaller (it seems closer to scale anyway).
  20. Have the summer sets been spotted in UK Lego stores yet? I really want to get the tank, especially at £20.
  21. I would be that someone. I actually did not know it was supposed to be a pilgrim until someone pointed it out! The vampire looks like a vampire at least. Goofy, but it's still possible to tell what it is.
  22. I just received the Tanker Truck Takedown today, and honestly I like it much more than I thought I would. In fact, I would go as far as saying that it's one of my favourite sets of the year (though to be fair, I haven't bought terribly much LEGO this year). The truck is well designed was was pretty fun to build, the side-inclusions are a bonus and four minifigures (two exclusive, and one who is hard to find) for a licensed set of this size is certainly not something I'm going to complain about. Don't get me wrong though, the main attraction is Spider-Man, and I absolutely adore this minifigure. I'm happy that I bought the set mainly for him, everything else is a really nice bonus. Overall, it's a great $/£30 set with a nice build that can fit into a Marvel display or city, and a brilliant lineup of minifigures.
  23. This looks great! I really like how you accomplished the SNOT wings, as well as the angles on the front. Your AT-ST looks fantastic as well, I guess going by what you said about this being your first MOC in years that it's an older MOC?
  24. Thanks guys! :) That's actually what I was kind of going for, combing elements from past Batmobiles in a coherent way.
  25. (I apologise in advance if these pictures are not very good, I used a large folder as a makeshift 'lightbox' and my iPhone's camera, so lighting may look very off.) My first MOC here on Eurobricks! Recently I decided that I wanted to build my own original version of Batman's iconic car (that, of course, being The Batmobile), taking influence from many different iterations of the vehicle. Firstly, I decided that I wanted to use the Speed Champions wheels in some way. They aren't so big that they look massive compared to a minifigure but at the same time they aren't so small that they look ridiculous. I then decided that I wanted to take a Batman Vs Superman approach and have 'armour' covering the wheels, which went on to become the skirting that covers pretty much the entire sides of the car. For the rear I couldn't forget about the giant exhaust (a flame piece can simply attach into the 2x2 dish), and I wanted to have a curved backing to the cockpit, similar to the Arkham Knight Batmobile. I thought the 2x2 'sliders' provided some good effect, for armour so I used them for the back of the cockpit and to shield the rear wheels. The cockpit uses a Speed Champions windshield. I thought this fit the aesthetic of the car nicely and can be hinged open to place Batman inside. Bats has to lay back, but can still 'grasp' the controls of the car. In front of the cockpit, you can see a six cylinder engine with trans-light blue hues. I actually used these hues in a few places, as I wanted to make the aesthetic pop a bit without ruining the 'Batman' feel of it, and at the same time I wanted to have some of my own elements in there. For the front I took some inspiration from the Burton Batmobile, and included an intake at the front. I also played around with wedge plates so the protrusion of the front wheels and headlights isn't just a lanky one stud wide extension. It adds a bit more depth and a spent a while trying tomlerfect the front alone. Originally the I take was completely absent and was somewhat sloped, though I thought it looks a bit too bland for the direction I was trying to take. Anyway, I think I've yammered on enough at this point! Thanks for looking, and any constructive criticism and feedback is welcome. :)
