  1. Probably because the RDA troops look like real-world soldiers and the faction overall was designed as a critique of American military actions. The closest thing to real military/law enforcement that we have gotten in Star Wars are Imperial Army Troopers (Solo, Andor) and Security Troopers (Andor).
  2. If we get a buildable figure, my guess would be Nicholson’s Joker (to go with the Keaton Batman from this year). Also, one of these is probably a 4+ set (Batman vs. Harley?), so we are probably only going to get two normal sets at most. 😕 Do we dare hope for some Nolanverse sets? 🤔
  3. Avatar 2024: - 75580 - 75581 - 75582 - 75583 Prices, names, and release date are unknown. Also unknown is whether these will be based on Avatar 3, or on 1/2.
  4. DC 2024: - 76270 - 76271 - 76272 - 76273 - 76274 Prices, release dates, and names are currently unknown, but one of these will be the Gotham City D2C (Gotham skyline, I suppose?).
  5. Moved to the correct thread. I second @NoOneOfImportance’s question - Does the set contain multiple units, or just multiple roles within the same unit (e.g. a 212th pack with three regs and an airborne)? Nothing regarding the unit has been confirmed. The idea that the Clone unit and the build in battle packs would match/make sense went out the window with the 332nd pack; for all we know, we could end up finally getting a Crab Droid in a snow gear 501st pack!
  6. Blast! 😠 We are down to a STAP and a Clone walker now (see @ArrowBricks’s guesses). The Clone builds were implied to be non-Canon, so an AT-RT is out. An Octuptarra is likely, and actually could be the correct size (there are two Octuptarra droid types - the Combat Tri-Droid (3.6 meters) and the Magna Tri-Droid (14.59 meters)); considering that Reg Clones are 1.83 meters tall (Jango’s height), a Combat Tri-Droid twice the height of a Minifig would be accurate.
  7. Another point for the Crab Droid is that LEGO tends to have a 1.5-year turnaround on responding to fan requests/demands (spoiler NWH sets came out around 1.5 years after the originals, for instance); the AT-TE - which was immediately criticised for the lack of a Crab Droid - came out in August of 2022, and the Clones vs. Droids pack will be releasing roughly 1.5 years later. 🤔
  8. The shape works, but the XL-15's canopy is trans-yellow not trans-neon green. I do think that the colour would work for a more toned-down, industrial version of M;Tron.
  9. Blacktron II had a completely different colour-scheme from Blacktron I, and the same is true of Space Police I/II/III. It is possible (though I feel that remakes of the original sets are more likely).
  10. Red, dark Bley, neon yellow, a bit of white, black wheels, and trans-neon green or trans-yellow canopies! A hypothetical reboot of M;Tron - Nothing real, alas.
  11. This is why: @Renown said that the CIS builds are Canon, not that they mostly Canon; the 2007 CIS transport is not Canon. I do not think that this rumour has been substantiated by anyone who has actually seen the set (@Renown, @ArrowBricks).
  12. It depends; an AT-RT is Canon, but the two-seat thing from the 2010 pack is not. Also, since only one of @ArrowBricks's three guesses is correct, if the set includes a STAP, it cannot also include a walker.
  13. Or incorporate yellow into the set's design (which I think works for M;Tron).
  14. One of the builds must be a Clone Walker, a STAP, or a Crab Droid. @Renown said that "most" of the builds cannot fly, and that the CIS builds (plural) are Canon and more substantial than the GAR ones. If the STAP is included, then the Clones cannot have a walker, meaning that they could end up with a speeder (another flying vehicle). If the walker is included, then the CIS will not have any viable Canon flying options left at this size, so maybe the Clones get a made-up flying thing (speeder?) as well as a walker; this would contradict the assertion that the CIS builds are the more substantial ones, though. The Crab Droid fits the "substantial Canon CIS build" criteria, and the flying vehicle could be a made-up speeder for the Clones. From this, I am guessing that we will get a non-Canon speeder for the Clones, with the Crab Droid being the most likely of @ArrowBricks's guesses.
  15. Agreed; I thought that it was odd that a GWP-exclusive torso was not only available from PAB, but also continued to be available after the promotion ended. On a similar note, the regular helmet is available in neon yellow without printing, and visors are available in white and trans-orange (also without printing); these are just unprinted versions of parts that appear in Stuntz sets, but it still strikes me as a bit odd. 🤔
  16. OK - Can you say if they are close to what is actually in the set?
  17. LEGO already did that for two City sets in 2020 (this part and this part). I actually think that the modern pieces could look good, and in some cases even better than the originals. The latest magnet piece has a very rugged, industrial appearance that suits the mining/transport/rescue theme of M;Tron quite well; additionally, the magnet on the crane in the Mega Core Magnetizer feels far too small, so the current piece would actually look better/more proportional.
  18. We are getting a larger version of Zoey's owl next year, so perhaps it can combine with this year's Z-Blob Mech and Bunchu. 🤔
  19. Really? I do not see that - The Galaxy Explorer especially is extremely sleek, IMO! The two most obvious ships have already been made? I must have missed the Deep Freeze Defender remake!
  20. @ArrowBricks: Is this a hint, or did you make this post before you saw the set photos?
  21. So you have seen the final images of the set? Also, are you saying that the Minifigs are the same in both prelim and final images? @Renown did not say that they could not identify the Clones - Just that the preliminary images had P2 Shinies; coupled with the fact that they (unlike anyone else) were actually able to provide information about the builds, I believe that they are just withholding/drip-feeding information (rather than bullshitting). Recap of the information provided by @Renown:
  22. BrickLink counts those as Minifigs, but LEGO does not (note who appears in the Minifig lineups on boxes). Palnet stated earlier today that he does not know anything about the builds in the set, so he must be relying on someone else as his source (who could be looking at the prelims). As of right now, I believe that @Renown is the only person who has actually seen the final images (that is, the only leaker to have seen them).
  23. Both LEGO and BrickLink consider Battle Droids to be Minifigs, which is where the “10 Minifigs” thing is coming from; four Clones and six Droids is reasonable for a $30 super battle pack. The Gunner is a useful and underrepresented role, he can fit into any unit, and he is only available in one $140 set!
  24. No stickers in throwback sets!
