  1. @AuroreGreat! I like the design of the roof and the door. P.S.: The 1x2 tile with the "building instruction" is on my Bricklink-wanted list, too.
  2. @AuroreThanks a lot! So I found a licensed (?) torso and an old CMF series 5-torso. Great catch!
  3. That might be a good point!
  4. This makes me wonder if TLG makes profit with B&P? It's a very good service which I appreciate very much but I am lacking the imagination how to make profit with this very special service. The costs must be very high (e.g. employees for service and handling, packing all this little orders).
  5. I was at the LEGO store in Frankfurt (Germany) today. They didn't have the Easter minifigs (at least I couldn't find them). But I got this torso and this one. Does anybody know if they are BAM exclusives or which set/minifig they are from? EDIT: Found the second torso - it's from CMF 5 series Sherlock Holmes: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb0931c01&idColor=69#T=S&C=69&O={"color":69,"iconly":0}
  6. Just going for "castle" and the colors blue, white and red - what about this: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=4373#T=S&O={"iconly":0}
  7. 80% - 20%: Pareto principle
  8. @ShaydDeGrai Well explained!
  9. Well, that's a great mix-up! But honestly, I would prefer to separate both themes: Either a private investigation team consisting of the private detective à la Philip Marlowe ("the brain"), his sidekick à la Dr. Watson or Captain Hastings ("the muscles"), his helpful secretary and a police inspector. This theme might play in a noir, "gotham city"-like setting. Or an adventurer team consisting of the hero, a scientist, a technician ("McGyver") and other members with different skills. This theme might play in archeology-like settings (e.g. Egypt and so on).
  10. Cool, the whole minifig looks a bit steampunk-ish. Like this guy.
  11. Ok, I would be fine with a post-WW I detective theme with the detective fighting monster-like bad guys, too.
  12. Great job! I think there'a a typo in the last line, last column (blue teddy bear): not 2020 Q4, but 2019 Q4.
  13. @mrfang2thanks a lot for your answer and explanation. In the meantime I found this hairpiece which I think could be of good use for a steampunk-minifig.
  14. Well, I posted my idea yesterday here, but I would like to repeat it in this thread (thanks to @Digger of Brickswho draw my attention to this thread) as this might be the more suitable place: As a new theme I could very well imagine an in-house detective theme (no licensed theme) based on the ideas of Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot (I don't know if this has been proposed by somebody on EB earlier). Set in the 1920s and 1930s (post-WW I, Roaring Twenties and Art déco) it could have four good guys: the private detective or investigator (aka Hercule Poirot with torso and bowler) his side-kick (aka Captain Hastings) his brave secretary (aka Miss Lemon) a police inspector The CMF-constable could be re-used. The villains (say 6 minifigs) would differ from set to set but would have one "gangster boss". We would see cars, planes and perhaps motorboats of that period. (Ok, I have to admit that there are some similarities to Monster Fighters ... but it would be a real life detective theme, no phantasy).
  15. @Digger of Bricks thanks! Actually my first thought was that the boat in the photo is supposed to be a "rum runner" and not a police boat.
  16. Thanks! Very interesting article. Thanks for sharing.
  17. As far as I can see, you might have the same problem as me: 2nd row, 2nd minifig from left with the dark red legs - the right leg is darker than the left leg and the hips. I got a replacement from LEGO customer service today, but still the same problem. It seems as if the whole production lot has this problem.
  18. I didn't know that. It looks absolutely great. Do you have more information about it?
  19. When Patric arrived at Jerusalem he received an urgent telegram from Johnny asking him to join him and Dr. Lightning in the Egyptian desert to reveal the secret of some ancient maps. On his way South to Egypt Patric has a strange encounter ... but in his hurry to join Johnny he just passes by.
  20. I may be a bit late, but I go for the jungle-subtheme (JU). The steam boat and the ancient ruins are absolutely awesome. But desert (DE) and orient expedition (OE) are great as well. The only set from DE I don't like is pharao's forbidden ruins. The best set is sphinx secret surprise - besides the scorpion tracker which is legend. I don't like the dino island-subtheme (DI) much (because of the dinos), but I use the dino research compound as a jungle station in my jungle-subtheme.
  21. Other topic: As a new theme I could very well imagine an in-house detective theme (no licensed theme) based on the ideas of Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot (I don't know if this has been proposed by somebody on EB earlier). 22. You' re right. CMF 19 Johnny Thunder is more likely a biologist rather than an adventurer. Well, we'll see if he is a precursor.
  23. In this LEGO Ninjago movie appears at 0:40 this headgear (bowler with eyepiece) Does anybody know if this headgear has been produced by LEGO in real? I haven't found it on Bricklink but may have overseen it. It would be great for any steampunk-like minifig.
  24. This and the "early movies"-like setting ( Addams Family ) are the reasons why I prefer MF. The MF minifigs are great characters.
  25. Same for me. I like the setting in the 1920s. I am not sure, but this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_on_the_Nile is supposed to be setted in the 1930s?
