  1. I don't mind the old school looking buses. Adds sorta a classy look to it. If it gets accepted, this would be my first modular.
  2. I think I prefer the TV 6+ news station as a standalone building with LCA character, Gabby DeCamera. Everything else is perfect.
  3. I saw that and I supported it. Great job on that modular. I hope Lego considers it for the 2021 modular.
  4. @greg3 I love what you did with the Miners btw. Making them the road crew is pretty clever.
  5. @Klaus-Dieter Here are my proposals. Having named characters will definitely make it popular among children. Also Lego has done some nice looking streetcars, subways and buses in the past. Though considering that they've never done a bendy bus before, that one may be a bit hard.
  6. Yeah! The school most definitely needs to be standalone. Especially with a school bus. We'd either get one as a great vehicle or as part of a grocery store set. I hope more for the latter than the former.
  7. Yeah! I haven't seen a stationary pizza parlor in a long time because 2013 is a long bricking time! I hope its yellow and burgundy like the pizza van from 2017. The cycle shop isn't all that interesting to me as its kinda dull sounding. But if they were to do one next year, I'll take it. Now a music store on the other hand would be something new and unseen. I'll take it. Especially if Poppy Star from LCA owned it. That one or a radio station would be good. Lego Store? I dunno about a Lego Store right now considering that we still have this one on the shelves. No excuses Lego, I want a standalone grocery store >>>> complete with a food transporting truck. Now that is a set that I wouldn't mind being slapped into the town subtheme of City. For the jewelry store, I see it happening. But if it doesn't, I'll just build one using the piece from the dog unit set. As for that special forces figure, you do know that's just an upgraded version of Duke DeTain, right? I didn't really care for the museum from 2018. I prefer the one from 2013. Sadly, that one is rare and hard to find. I see the tram station happening most definitely because there is a tram that goes with that. I hope the town hall has Mayor Freck! I don't see City stepping into the house game anytime soon. There was a home in 2010 and I heard it failed in sales. I can see a coffee shop happening. Not this year though as its too close to the doughnut shop's release. Well....we did get two in the same year. I wouldn't write it off just yet. Yeah....too soon. Sadly, they didn't do one for the 2018 trains wave. I hope they do make an office building someday. Yeah! Ski Resort was just released. I do agree and yes I do have some ideas. Transit Center - How about an actual "Port Authority" style building with a ticket window and indoor waiting area? Barber Shop - Ok fine! Its unlikely. It doesn't hurt to put it out there though. Car Dealership - We did get one this year, but it was really just a trailer. Electronics Store - Well, I have seen computer pieces along with keyboard pieces and TVs. There are also some phone pieces too. Schoolhouse - Children need to learn, don't they? Hardware Store
  8. What do I think? I think I LOVE it. A bus garage would be perfect for City. Of course, it would have to be big enough to fit a bus inside. If Lego were to do it, I'd recommend that they take influence from the 2009 garage set. Lego has shown time and time again that they are good at making sets centered around public transportation. Take it a step further and make a subtheme from it. The bus set from 2017 and the 2018 passenger train are good places to start. It seems like every vital civilian service has gotten their own subtheme except for the transit system - which seems to have lived in the shadows even during the "HEY" generation of City sets, usually in a mega sets like: 7641 City Corner - a plain yellow transit bus 60026 Town Square - a red transit bus 60097 City Square - a tram 60200 Capital City - a double decker bus Or in standalone town sets like: 8404 Public Transpot 60154 Bus Station So the transit system seems to be something that Lego is hesitant to give their own subtheme to. For the past 5 years, it seems like that's been the case with most action that takes place IN the City. If you do a tally chart, you'll see that action outside of the City dominates the theme. So because Lego is sometimes hesitant to push action within the City, I don't see very many sets centered around public transport anytime soon. But I definately love this idea. I'm offended that City has never given a subtheme idea to the transit industry. I take it personally because I work for the transit industry and its something I've been passionate about since I was a child. I'll let him know that. Thank You! Yeah, he made that based on the shuttle buses in his town. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he worked for Lego and those models were actually going to be part of a cancelled City subtheme centered around public transport.
  9. Nice Job! Putting them on the same scale as Racers was pretty clever.
  10. Subtheme Idea: Construction Reboot Front Loader and Dump Truck - Includes front loader, dump truck and dirt elements Mobile Crane - Includes mobile crane with steel beam pieces Construction Site - Includes tower crane, sanijohn, worker's office, unfinished building and foreman's truck Pavement Crew - Includes cement mixer, steam roller, flat pieces to represent road and road closed signs Excavator Transport - Includes transporter truck with excavator. Similar to the one from 2017. Demolition Sequence - Includes wrecking ball, demolished building fronts, bulldozer and working TNT plunger. Similar to the demolition site we got in 2015. New Characters Introduced James Foreman - the foreman of the construction company. Included in all sets Nate Diggers - an digger for the construction company. Included in set 1. Veronica Lifts - a crane operator for the construction company. Included in sets 2 and 3.
  11. Duke status reached!

  12. Same here! Maybe we'll get a little convenience store front or something like that in the set.
  13. Wow! Nice tractor! You did a great job building it.
  14. There wasn't a 60199. That may have very well been a cancelled station.
  15. Ok! If they were to do a public transit subtheme for City, they could easily stick a bendy bus in there. Check out these bus MOCs. My dude Benjamin Karl from Facebook made three different buses from parts of the bus from 60154. If I didn't know any better, I'd say these were prototypes for a cancelled City subtheme. He also did a shuttle bus and a mini bus. Oddly enough, the closest we have ever gotten to postal service in City was the mail van and plane from 2008, the starter set from 2016 and the postal plane that we got this year. People on this forum often argue with me and say that City is as diverse as you can get. But during the 2010s, there wasn't really nothing that was new. Matter of fact, very few sets actually interested me throughout the 2010s compared to everything else, which is what we see pretty much every winter and summer (ahem police ahem explorers ahem). But so far, I have seen minor buildings like a post office, a grocery store or a news station. I agree! Perhaps Lego should do medical year in between classic police subtheme year and fire subtheme year. Basically a year where ambulances would be the first responders subtheme for City. We did have that little platform that came with the passenger train. But that doesn't really get me excited like the big train stations that they used to release back in the early 2010s. My town doesn't have any railways as its pretty small. But what will you do for those customers who want a grand central station in their town? Take the hint, Lego! TAKE.....THE......HINT!!!!!!
  16. LOL! If I give you a perfect score, that means it was boiled in a good way.
  17. Perfect Score! This MOC got my blood boiling.
  18. You did an outstanding job on this.
  19. @R0Sch I see it can fit on tracks. This is definitely a must buy.
  20. I agree! I think this is one of the most sensible comments on this page. I mean, if people want a green coach or something with this engine, simply build one. Or buy this one. It's that simple.
  21. Oh my! That is outstanding!
  22. Lucky! I think I need me one of those.
  23. Or 60154. That was my favorite set from 2017. As far as trains go, I don't have a big enough town, so there isn't much room for trains. However, I've been screaming for City to make a rapid transit unit. I guess I can make room for one of those. But City most definitely needs a much better way to give transit workers some spotlight. I actually came up with a way to do it. I think its possible for Lego City to actually do it. Recently, I have formed a habit of taking outcast City sets and building subthemes around them. Examples include; the transit system, the medical field, the postal service, and even the news if you could believe it. These services may not involve as much action as police or firefighters but they are still vital services to City life. I don't see why it would hurt to give them subthemes. We never know though. City might surprise us next year.
