Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Wow! That's cool man. I miss those days. 2005 was the start of my TFOL years as I had just turned 13. -
Oh nice! I love how you call it Pick a Brick City. I'm assuming that all the bricks you use for your town are from Pick-A-Brick.

Chinese New Years sets don't sell well
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I see them selling here all the time in the states. I've even seen them at Lego stores. So I think they're doing just fine. I guess it depends on where you live though. I live where a lot of people like to scale model and do table towns. And given it's mostly infrastructure oriented, they would make great sets for that. -

In all honesty, I don't see a classic hospital being released anytime soon as Lego has a six year plan for those. The last one was released in 2018. So if we were to do the math, that would mean that the next one would be released in 2024. Seriously Lego? Hospitals should get three year rotation in my opinion. Like Police Precincts and Fire Departments. -

I wonder if there will be a summer town D2C set. -
I agree. Lego can be so hypocritical at times.

USC?

LOL! I see what you did there. Yes, we did get somewhat of a dumpster transport. But....those look more like recycling bins than dumpsters. When I say dumpster, I mean one of those big green thingys that is owned by the Waste Management company. Or WM for short.

Yeah! That's it! What do you think of my Sanitation subtheme idea?
-
My ideas for a Sanitation subtheme Garbage Barge - It seems like Lego hasn't done one of these yet. So how about a garbage barge since boats are a good seller in the theme. Trashcan Transport - Thought it was probably unintentional, 2012 and 2021 both had some type of recycling bin transporter included in a set. I think another standalone one would be good. Street Sweeping Truck - The street sweepers that Lego has made for City in the past were kinda lame. The exception would probably be the one from 8404 Public Transport. How about a bigger version of the one from last year. Like one of those MAN street sweepers that we see in Europe. Garbage Truck - For obvious reasons. Dumpster Transporter - Feel free to laugh because I'm trying not to laugh myself. But I actually thought of this idea because I often see these on the road. Perhaps we can have one for City. Recycling Center - The base set. Includes a building with a working conveyor belt and a foreman's truck.

Older construction vehicles are better though. More detail.

Ninjago getting more popular?
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Doom2099's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Ninjago has always been popular among all age ranges. KFOLs love them because they are filled with action. AFOLs love them because some of them make great collectors items. Others are good for table town dressing. -

@Klaus-Dieter Yo! It's been ages. What you been up to? -
Now that's what I'd love to see Lego do with a ResQ revival.
