LEGO Ideas - 123 Sesame Street
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
Who in the world of bricks suggested a Sesame Street without Big Bird??? If anything, Big Bird should be one of the main muppets involved in this set. Big Bird was one of the fellas that helped sunny days to stay sunny on Sesame Street. Also, where is Oscar's trashcan? Sidenote: I wonder if they're going to make Hooper's Store and the Fix-It Shop. -

Which Themes Deserve a Reboot?
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lancethecat's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I hope they do some classic building reboots under City. Like the 6362 Post Office or the 379-1 Bus Station. We kinda got a revival back in 2017 of the latter, but I would like a ticket booth or something with it this time. I wonder if classic town ever had a grocery store!- 438 replies

Well.....Lego is a European company. So I can see why they'd complain. But like you said.......American-style school buses should be at least familiar enough to them because of the media. However, I do think they should make the look region neutral like the other Great Vehicles that have been released over the years so that complaints won't ensue. I recommended a look based on those Thomas Vista buses from the mid 90s.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Considering that the 60256 Racing Cars set has 190 pieces, I'm praying hard that its vehicle pack with updated F1 cars that are colored similar to the ones in these sets. -

I do have to agree there considering that great vehicles has been around since 2012. Side note: TLG, please make a school bus for City. I want to see one! jumps up and down and screams. Just kidding! But all jokes aside, I wanna see one for City. Friends has one and Hidden Side has one. I wanna see one for City. They could play with them at once and they don't have to be boring. Just as long as after you build them, you can roll them around on the floor like Hotwheels cars. That's at least what I did as a child. To me, Heartlake City seems to be based more on fun, leisure and ease from the alleged overwhelming majority of crime in Lego City. I don't necessarily take sexism or gender specificism into play, but its just that the things we would want to see for City are things that would more likely to attract girls than boys. That's probably why we don't see a lot of grocery stores, pet stores, dance studios and other shops. There are some shops in City, but not as many as are in Friends. I mean, girls love to shop and eat as much as boys love violence and danger. That's another piece of assessment I have with the current state of City vs. Friends.

What Exactly is Minifig Scale?
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Ultrake's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's one of those discussions that probably won't be solved until TLG themselves explain everything. No. There isn't an exact definition. That's a problem.- 63 replies

@Aanchir All of that is understandable dear. I'm sorry I was abrasive. It won't happen again. I loved the launch command sets when I was a child. Whenever I see space sets, it reminds me of launch command and space port. I'm actually making plans to pick the space research center this week. That one is definable needed for my town. I think I only had one arctic set as a child and that was the base set. I love it when the artic sets come out. My only disappointment was that for the 2018 Arctic wave - there was no stationary base. The base set was on wheels. Guess I have to work with that one. Deep Sea Divers was good too. LOL! I tell folks this all the time. We practically got a zoo theme with jungle. Mod the sets out for them to look like a zoo. They're called MOCs. But the theme I keep begging Lego to bring back under City is the Outback Enthusiast subtheme from 1997. That one was neat. I also wanted them to revive Extreme Team, but considering all of the stunt vehicles released under Great Vehicles, I guess City has already done that. Well once again, I apologize. I hope we can get along and become good friends.

Which Themes Deserve a Reboot?
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lancethecat's topic in General LEGO Discussion
@Aanchir I'm going to pull out certain points of your written report. Of course I focus on how itd categorized. I actually applaud City for doing that as it makes everything more organized. One thing I don't like about 80s town that I do like about City is that everything is well sorted and not in shambles. 80s town is like the nationalization of Britain's railways back in 1948. It was chaos. Subthemes allow everything to be organized. Also with subthemes, more opportunities can open up. So I'm not even worried. But I would like to see one year where City doesn't do a new police theme. Prayers going up for 2021 anyone???? That would be interesting to see. From my professional observations (no arrogance intended), that's technically what cargo was. It wasn't really another airport theme like Lego leftists think. It was really just an extension. Similar to Police - Prison Island and Construction - Demolition Experts. That's why I never really considered prison island a police theme because it really focused more on the prison system. It wasn't a local force and though the mini movies portrayed it as such, it wasn't really focused on catching crooks. That's just from my perspective. Fingers crossed that they'll release Harbour, Farm and Cargo I'm summer 2021.- 438 replies

I've also gotten the argument that police changes up every year to which I said "They're still police sets though". They're isn't a big picture to see here because the big picture is that they're still police sets. Fire sets don't even get that much attention. I don't even think I'd be wrong to say that regular police doesn't get as much attention as special police does. Of course children are going to go to the police and explorers sets if they're put out there like that. I mean what? Which one would you go to? The one that's out out there or the one that's in the shadows? I'm just the kind of guy that dislikes things that are overrated.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Nice. I doubt the 2020 Ice Cream Truck will look like that though. -
@Ron Dayes I hate it when she feels the need to write long essays on why she disagrees with us. I wish she'd be straight to the point. Uh....yes I do. Nope! Its just over here that happens. Anytime I criticize City, my views are agreed upon on other platforms. Not on this one though. ....and must you write a long essay about why you disagree with us? No ones got time to read all that mess.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Understood. I also edited mine too saying that the next town plan should be a housing development. After all, the cops, firefighters and doctors in Lego City do need somewhere to call home. -
LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
In my opinion, the best years for City were 2005-2011, 2013-2014 and 2017. The Doughnut Shop Opening was a large set too. The next City plan set should be a housing development set. .....and why would they need to make room for other sets? Sell those alongside it. -
Q&A: Spring and Fall waves for City
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Town
That or they'll need to plan ahead. But I think smaller waves would be a better idea. Or make the amounts of sets in a subtheme smaller.
