I wouldn't necessarily say its better. Just different. City and Classic Town were aimed at two different types of children from two different generations. Classic Town/Legoland (from the 80s to late 90s) seemed to be geared towards children who want to build a town. Looking at the different generations is important. Town modeling an extremely popular hobby back then. So if you had a child who loved town modeling and legos at the same time, there is a market for that. Modern day City sets are mainly targeted towards THIS generation where action and vehicles; particularly ones centered around policing, rescuing, civilian transport, air travel and discovery. But a building wouldn't really interest a child unless its playable. That's probably why they are built a certain way. So....I wouldn't say either is better than the other. Lego is just going along with the times.

I wouldn't say its dying. But that site, which used to be easy to navigate, has kinda gotten confusing. That's just from my perspective. Others may see it differently.

Lego themes that we would like to happen
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That makes sense. I remember the 60097 City Square set. They did a similar thing by adding sets they know would sell among little children like the tow truck, Lego delivery truck and the tram with things that only adult and teen audiences would notice the car dealership and Lego building. I really hope Lego would release one of those sets every year. Make the flagship sets an annual thing. I think they're on a good start right now. Last year was the 60200 Capital City. This year's flagship set is the 60233 Doughnut Shop Opening. My idea for next year's flagship set was a shopping district set. It would be like the Town Square set, only it would include three buildings and some vehicles. The buildings would be a mini grocery store, pizzeria and a post office. Btw, what's a CMF?- 451 replies

Lego themes that we would like to happen
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Same here. That's what I said about the 60200 Capital set from City. I mean, would little boys really want to play with a hot dog stand, museum or a hotel? The only reason it did so well was because of the bus and that sports car - which in my honest opinion should've been their own sets sold as great vehicles.- 451 replies

Bookshelf Library progress so far
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to gotoAndLego's topic in LEGO Town
Great Job! I look forward to seeing more from you. -
Each to their own. Ironically, that's the only garbage truck I don't care for because of it being too low. 7991 from 2007 and 60118 from 2016 has more ground clearance.

Which Themes Deserve a Reboot?
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lancethecat's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would also like to see the harbour theme return for City.- 438 replies

What I also want to see soon is a proper looking garbage truck - like 60118 was. I mean, 60220 looks more like a dump truck than a garbage truck.

Or even better! A mini-subtheme based around the City Pizza chain from 2020???? I'll post ideas on the Ideas for City Sets page. -
Put that on Lego Ideas! I'll support it immediately.

Welp! Finally, I have found the time to do a little Q&A.....if that's okay to do here! If its not okay, please feel free to remove this admins. But anyway, I'd like to start a topic on vehicles - particularly ones we like! For me personally, my favorite vehicle has to be the bus from City set number 60154. I just love buses and I do drive a bus for a living. Truthfully speaking, I kinda wish that was a sub theme for that year. But I guess Lego knows best. So without further to do, what's your favorite LEGO vehicle?
