  1. Never mind! I saw it. That thang looks vicious! It looks like I can use some of the pieces to expand the burger bar I already have.
  2. .....and because of that, I am officially retiring from regular collecting and racing toward MOCing. That one I like. But not the others.
  3. ...and during the Jack Stone era. Oh what a flop that turned out to be.
  4. Don't worry. I get that a lot from him. Even I try to agree with him, he finds something to "correct" me on.
  5. I loved the extra helicopters. Matter of fact, seeing the ones that will be released in 2020, this is actually the first time I don't like the helicopters.
  6. @Roebuck You crazy as hell, dude. The only thing I would probably get these for is to expand on bricks. Otherwise, I'd try to find the last police station on clearance. I mean yes Lego City is for children. But at least back in 2008, police sets were tasteful.
  7. Of course there was. The helicopters before these were much better. That's probably the only redeeming thing about this wave. That and the bank set.
  8. Ah. WUT. Ok....I hope it isn't permanent. Otherwise, I've lost hope in helicopters from City.
  9. @Digger of Bricks We saw @Aanchir Looks like Duke did replace Chase.
  10. Oh LAWDY!!!!! The new police sets are getting some hate that I never thought I'd see.
  11. You could too. I'd put the gate up front. I've got a feeling the 2020 decade is going to be a new decade for the City theme.
  12. The Police HQ is definitely on my list. I did say I wanted something simple. This will suffice. It looks like they're following the same system as the 60110 Fire Station with the connectors. I'll probably end up removing those.
  13. Yo! I just saw the helicopter chase. I want that set. I need the 60s gangster for a scene I'm planning. The police station isn't exactly what I expected. But I guess it's better than no headquarters at all.
  14. But I can't wait until next week. I'll freak out.
  15. The only police stations I like are the classic ones since they fit into the theme the most. But let's save that conversation for another time. Back to the topic of modulars. I've had a change of heart actually. I did say earlier that Lego has enough police stations already. But I guess adult police set lovers deserve a chance to see a police station for modulars. But since I am really into buses, my dream modular is a modular bus terminal with a 60s style bus. Like a small version of the Port Authority in New York City.
  16. That was sarcasm. I really dislike it when people bellyache over stickers when they're not going anywhere anytime soon.....and printed pieces are expensive.
  17. That could explain why we haven't seen a City post office yet.
  18. Ah yes. I remember. It was also connected to a barber shop. Let's not forget that Modulars is the adult version of City. So any type of building is possible. Even a floor with a torture chamber.
  19. I think we can all agree with what you put in the parentheses. But they did a pool hall? Show me!
  20. If we were to follow my example, new police stations would come out every three years actually. Oh yeah! I also remember the Indy Transport and Fast Track Finish.
  21. Yeah.....they could've used some of those transparent lightbulb pieces.
  22. I wouldn't call the non Fire and Police stuff redundant. I mean....Arctic and Space are pretty good sellers too. In my opinion, different police departments every year seem more redundant to me. I mean....you could just continue to produce set 60141 until it's time for 60246 to come out. That's what I call the slick way to make money. I was thinking a reboot of the 1996 Race subtheme. Can cover all sorts of racing; formula 1, go karts, dirt racing, stunt racing, etc. Now that's funny! I could see a hardware store, but only in one of the mega sets that comes out every summer. In order for it to sell though, it'll probably have to have a crook stealing a hammer or something like that. I never thought they were in the way to begin with. I mean.....if you want simplicity and genetics, go for a CITY race car. If you want a more detailed and realistic look, go for the one from Speed Champions. I personally don't think that the lack of race cars being under City has to do with Speed Champions because Great Vehicles and Speed Champions are aimed at two different age groups. Great Vehicles is mainly for children and preteens while Speed Champions is mainly targeted towards teenagers and young adults.
  23. Well....I can say that about a lot of topics Lego does. But if they do a casino, which could happen, I'd invest. Oh I see. You're one of those guys. No! Lego has enough of those. City is getting another one next year. Buy that one. Let Modulars stay free of that.
