  1. I didn't mean all of them at the same time, Captain Obvious! I meant some of them.
  2. @TeriXeri How in Sam Jackson are you able to pull out so many good points from my statement?
  3. @TeriXeri I can attest to the last statement. Though I do think that as far as shops and restaurants are concerned, they should leave that to City. Creator can stay with houses.
  4. I'm definately not prejudice. At least we have the option of changing the minifigures.
  5. I mean with characters that haven't been released yet.
  6. Lack of desire? You mean they don't ask the consumer what they want? They don't even ask children what they want? They just put what they see fit to put out there? No wonder people often criticize them! Well everyone needs a little advice sometimes and Lego doesn't always know what they're doing. If all they need to do is change colors, I wonder why they just don't do that. Not really the same if it isn't City.
  7. Hey! The forest fire buggy and the police brick box don't look all that bad.
  8. Ninjago people pack anyone?
  9. Ok! I love it when City surprises me. I was really surprised with the street sweeper as I thought it would be yellow. But no, its green and obviously its owned by the same company that owns the garbage trucks judging from the sign. Good pun on the ice cream truck. I'm actually planning on picking that one up too. The one I am disappointed over is the mail plane. It was kinda hoping that the unnamed great vehicle would be a school bus. But considering that we haven't seen a mail vehicle in almost a decade, I'm not complaining. The great vehicles have really put my mind at ease.
  10. I'm definately picking up those great vehicles. See? The wave isn't entirely hopeless. LOL
  11. @Digger of Bricks So were the space sets. Don't forget, NASA basically partnered with City to bring those into existence.
  12. Yeah! It's not like little boys don't love sports. That's across the globe. Not just in the US. I hear Lego is releasing some new soccer sets. They should release them under City so they'll sell better.
  13. I mean just in general, I see most people arguing about City. Like all over social media. Not just here.
  14. Not only that, but they stay on topic which is of course....Star Wars. Same with other licensed themes. Friends is generic, but they stay on topic and focus on well......bad joke warning......their friendships. Same with Creator as it encourages you to play with your mind a little and come up with cool creations. But City, which is supposed to focus on realistic action that you'd see in the City. Most of the action that you see takes place out of the city like volcanoes, space, the arctic, jungles, mountain police, etc. I don't think people hate the sets in general. Its just the fact that they are under the City theme despite not exactly taking place "in the City". I do kinda feel those people as "out of the city" themes being in a "city" theme is not really easy to ignore. At the same time, I do understand why they did it that way. Our nostalgia for old exploration themes will sell better The originals from the late 90s and early 2000s were technically spin-off themes of Town Jr. That's kinda why despite agreeing with those people who say "That should be its own theme all together; Lego Explorers", I do have a soft spot for Arctic, Space and Deep Sea Exploration as I used to play with those in my single digits. I do hope they bring Extreme Team, Res Q (though I think Great Vehicles and Coast Guard has already covered those) and Outback back.
  15. However, I do have to admit that of all the Lego themes out there, City seems to be the one that starts the most arguments or cause the most uproar. I say this from experience. I don't speak for everyone. So please don't hate me.
  16. Not that you didn't bring up some good points, @MAB. But.....what Joebot said is kinda how I feel. I'm just not able to do it in a way where the point would be misunderstood. But like he said, the imagination is kinda hindered when the characters are already named as oppose to coming generically. Yes they can make their own minifigures. I'm just speaking on a surface level. That's all.
  17. That's what I basically said in my comment just before yours.
  18. @fordtruckin And yes I am a kid at heart. All of us are kids at heart, otherwise we wouldn't be here. I'm not triggered at all. I'm just straight up when it comes to how I feel about certain things. I don't beat around the bush. No one's got time for the crap. At least I've got the courage and bravery to speak up. Uh....the office part from 2014 looks a lot better from my POV. There is also a proper looking garage for the 2014 one too. The jail cell looks pretty decent along with the vehicles (the drone included) and the minifigures. As for the other things......Call me narrow minded, but I....just don't see it.
  19. ...and they should go back to that too!
  20. 2008 was my favorite. I had all buildings from 2006 to 2009. The last building that I got before my hiatus was that family home that came in 2010. I kinda went on hiatus until 2018.
  21. This is probably one of the very few redeeming qualities about this year's police sets.
  22. Complaints? We're just criticizing and saying that Lego could've done better. This isn't the best they can do in terms of "children's" toys. Stop getting triggered dude. I mean.............look at these. 2008 2011 2014
  23. Also personally, I was kinda expecting a bigger garage for the police van that comes with the station. You know.....with a gate and all.
  24. ...and I'll do it some more. We were just expecting something more realistic like this year's fire sets. Most of vehicles look outlandish. That highway arrest set has a police car that looks like it belongs with Speed Champions. I don't like the idea of the pull string helicopters and the main station just isn't what I expected it to look like. I was just kinda hoping for something more realistic looking. That's all.
