  1. Great job with the lighting and forced perspective. The subtle shaping of the curved roads is a nice touch.
  2. Thanks for the correction and the suggestion. Let me know if the river should be wider (it looks quite wide now when zoomed in, but not when zoomed out). I placed Khadira and Estolad based on these descriptions in the forum: Thank you for the vote of confidence! I can't see having time to do a detailed one like this for all of Historica, but we'll see. Depending on how long the 'high level' map of Kaliphlin goes, I might try to put out one for all of Historica. Updated version of the map: BookIV_Kaliphlin_2025-09-28_draft.pdf (4 MB) C&C are desired.
  3. Here is the first draft of the detailed Book IV Kaliphlin map: https://jtooker.com/files/BookIV_Kaliphlin_2025-09-25_draft.pdf (4MB) It may take a bit to load and render. You can search for text in the map. It works best if you zoom in. I plan to do an overview map as well once this one is done. C&C are desired.
  4. Awesome creation and great video as always! Leaving the back open was a great choice to showcase the interior.
  5. @Muakhah, is Khadira due east of Skull late or Northwest of Darlig ulv-Strangden (near the Goolag Archipelago?) Old Map Link Update: I'll pick a spot and we can move it if needed @Adair, where is Estolad? (all old kaliphlin maps) Update: I'll pick a spot and we can move it if needed p.s. I realized after the post this should have just been on the Kaliphlin thread. Feel free to reply there.
  6. Great job with that main tower! The overall shape and the roof are great.
  7. Great entries everyone - I enjoyed looking at everyone's work! Congratulations to T-86 and Gideon, your entries were terrific!
  8. Thank you for the kinds words. I'm pretty happy how the minotaur came out (thank you for everyone's feedback on the GoH discord). I was happy I had time to get some basic lighting in. I was hoping the back would be denser too, but I ran of time time (and space, but with more time, that wouldn't have been a problem). I had planned on a lower-light shot too, but again, ran out of time.
  9. I had this idea while doing the part A challenge and I'm glad the idea worked well. Thanks, I got the display case idea from IamKritch It is a little better in person, but I had hoped the blue would not have shown through as much and it is very obvious from the photos. I'm glad you liked it - thank you for the kind words Agreed; between the space and time restrictions this was one of the corners I had to cut.
  10. And here I thought my wooded theatre was a novel idea! Yours great terrific! The large round curves work very well for a stone amphitheater. Having all the kids standing up front was a great idea. Including all the 'concessions' in back really sets the mood too.
  11. Awesome action shot! The photography is great with the depth of field and the light coming in through the windows. I like the decorative table-hanging edge.
  12. Great story. The roof design is simple, but works very well with the build.
  13. Awesome stonework! Especially on the ground, including the decorative ring. Having such a large scene frames the bard well.
  14. I too like the carpet. The wooden supports along the wall frame the build nicely.
  15. I like all of the horn variants and the floor technique is superb! The wound up scrolls are neat too, I'll have to remember that piece combination.
  16. Awesome concept! Great use of decorative tiles. The whole scene is terrific!
  17. The floor tiles and cut-corner of the room work well for this vignette. I like the wood supports poking in at the top, that is a nice detail.
  18. The minifig design of Theodor is great! The sideways log bricks are used well and the tree is a great accent for this build.
  19. Great job using the larger figs! It lets the plant and built-bow pieces work differently and better at this scale.
  20. Great wooden long-house style inn! The roof and wall techniques work very well here. The stone hill you built up under the building elevates it in every sense of the word.
  21. I like the border and good call to get the light in the interior photos. The inn is cozy - great job with the atmosphere it in.
  22. Great use of the sand green and white limb elements. The log cabin design works well with that pre-fab door.
  23. I like the bridge idea! The angled piers are done well and the column technique provide interesting shapes to the build. The colorful buildings on either side work well with the more muted stone and tan. It is too bad the shadows are so harsh on the troupe under the covered bridge in the main picture, but all the other supporting pictures show those details well.
