There's so much to this that I love, it's incredible! The detail you've managed in that small scale (which I've come to expect from you), the nice part usage, the fact that you've managed to squeeze in both the circuit cube drive and the HOG saddle support control... but my interest is really piqued by the microcontroller-circuit cube combo. I have the same circuit cube kit but I don't like the phone interface so this is definitely something I'll look into in the future! May I ask what microcontroller you used?

Very nice, love the LNER version of the Flying Scotsman, wouldn't have it any other way! To follow up on the suggestion of details to break up the form, I think handrails would go a long way in that regard (example here), and red buffer plates would add a nice splash of colour as well, although I guess that might be difficult if you want to use existing Lego buffer beams with magnets. Can't say I'm a fan of the dome built that way - I remember seeing it on the original damangos version as well and recoiling a bit! To me it looks too blocky, might I suggest something like this?

[MOC] Chevy K5 Blazer
EWay replied to Madoca 1977's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Youtube knows me well, you were the first suggested video on my homepage this morning, and I came here to check this out for more details... I was really impressed by the automatic diff lock there, and now I'm here I'm equally impressed by the connecting rod part usage! -
Brickshelf is shutting down. Let's try to save it.
EWay replied to Trekkie99's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I had a very brief look but haven't really had time to check it out since you posted. Just want to say that I'm not disinterested! If Brickshelf does go down, it'll be great to have your archive at least, so thanks for your work :) -

EWay replied to Trekkie99's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm very hopeful that nothing will be lost, as some here are downloading all the content, others have contacted the estate about buying the site and it sounds like they're responsive... Also per this Reddit post, it sounds like it's all being added to the wayback machine. -

Seconding this request, I just found out completely by chance. -
[MOC] JCB 3CX Compact Backhoe
EWay replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks fantastic, well done for taking matters into your own hands! I've only got 8455 and never really liked it as it always felt too flimsy. This looks nice and sturdy in the video and incredibly packed full of functions, must be great fund to play with! And when you started hammering with the jackhammer it nearly killed me :D One slight criticism is the lack of a HOG, it looks as though it's very difficult to steer. I can imagine it would be very difficult to find anywhere to put it though given how restricted on space the thing is. I actually find this amazing that your MOCs have never reached the front page! -

Aside from what a cool MOC this is, what caught my attention was the name! What inspired you to give it a name as Gaeilge? Would love to have been at Legoworld Utrecht to see it in the flesh. I was planning to go in 2020 for the first time, then for obvious reasons that plan got cancelled... then kids came along. Thankfully they'll be a great excuse to go in a few years time :)

Ahoy there me hearties! This sounds like it might be more my speed than attempting a MOC, as a baby and toddler are currently keeping me too busy for Lego. I'm probably not recognised around these parts as I'm really just a Town MOCer anyway, but Pirates is a theme close to my heart. My first ever set was Bounty Boat 6247 so it inspired a lifelong obsession with Lego! Can't wait to get critiquing!

[MOC] RC-Pneumatic Backhoe
EWay replied to 2GodBDGlory's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Incredible that you've packed so many functions into it. Very impressed with the pneumatic function shifter, and the windscreen wipers are really cool! Pardon my ignorance, one question I have is about the driving ring on the diff lock. Would the old 2L ring (part 6539) not have worked here? I haven't done much in the way of Technic MOCs in recent years and don't have any of the new fangled differentials, so maybe it's not compatible or something... -
[SMF] Antonov An-2 in 1/70 scale
EWay replied to Sven J's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Fantastic model, I really like the shaping with the tiles and wedges and the little details like the droid arms under the back wings, and the video sound effects are a nice touch :D Curious about the sand green - are the windows that colour? I guess the colour palette for gold ingots is very limiting.- 12 replies

Wow, it looks amazing! I know we're supposed to be here to appreciate the Lego but I'm struggling to take my eyes off your beautifully painted sails :D For those like me to decided to take you up on the suggestion to "google it"... I found better results searching for sao martinho armada, at least as far as google image search goes.
