  1. Beautiful pics! now all you need is the Miura by JamesJT and the Lamborghini stable will be complete :)
  2. I think you're right. 4 small motors, ultrasonic sensor and color sensor. BTW I think the "thing" is supposed to be a robot dog, like the Boston Dynamics Spot.
  3. The color kind of makes me think of these sets. Cybermaster - https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=8482-1&name=CyberMaster&category=[Technic][Competition]#T=S&O={"iconly":0} Robotics Discovery set - https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=9735-1&name=Robotics Discovery Set&category=[Mindstorms][RCX]#T=S&O={"iconly":0}
  4. it's the same programmable brick used in the SPIKE Prime set. https://education.lego.com/en-us/products/lego-education-spike-prime-set/45678#product
  5. Which this definitely is not. BrickPi may be more to your taste, though. https://www.dexterindustries.com/brickpi/
  6. Haha thanks. Here's the blog post on TheNXTstep website. Link to the building instructions is included. http://www.thenxtstep.com/2016/08/trott3r-robotremix3.html
  7. Haha cool. Reminds me of the time I tried to motorize the 42038 LEGO Technic set with my EV3 set.
  8. That looks like a fun challenge to try! I've just got one IR sensor though. Perhaps that can be used in combination with the Color sensor...
  9. Do you mean this project? Jason did not publish instructions or part lists as far as I know. Maybe the videos would help.
  10. Looks fantastic! Can't wait to see the video!
  11. I combined this set with my LEGO Mindstorms EV3 set and this is the result.
  12. Personally I like the yellowed wheels. Gives it an antique flavor :)
  13. Power Functions will be discontinued. However you can use the Boost Proximty Sensor to send commands to it. Powered Up, Boost and Control+ are all programmable using the Powered Up app, and LEGO plans to support that for the foreseeable future. If I'm not mistaken the Spike Prime motors and sensors are too. Mindstorms will be retired soon. Possibly the replacement is retail version of SPIKE Prime. I don't know. So it seems to me, going forward, all LEGO smart platforms (Powered Up, Boost, Control+ and possibly SPIKE Prime) will all be programmable using the Powered Up app, and possibly Micropython later once PyBricks becomes available. https://pybricks.com/about/ Anyway, I value your thoughts.
  14. Really good rendition of an uncommon subject. Wondering what it would look like in blue! Keep it up!
  15. As far as I can tell every product in the world does this. Let's say you want a Mercedes-Benz. Want something to go to the shops and back? Get an A-class. Want a compact executive sedan? Get a C-class. Want a limousine? S-class. Advantage to Mercedes Benz? They get to sell three cars instead of one. Or using LEGO as an example, very young children get Duplo, slightly older children get Juniors and the rest gets regular LEGO. Feel free to discuss.
  16. Thanks! You're absolutely right, but it's a hoot to play with though.
  17. Hi everyone, hope you are well and safe. I present my combination of LEGO Technic 42105 and LEGO Boost sets, SteamBOOST Will. Building and programming instructions included in the video. Yes, it floats. It can also sink, so be careful.
  18. It's not as far as I can tell. And there are fewer ports. But gyro and accelerometer are now built in.
  19. Not really sure what you're looking for but perhaps this will be useful. https://jkbrickworks.com/telegraph-machine-and-printer/
  20. Random speculation: - the programmable brick will be the same as the one used in the SPIKE Prime set - will have an infrared sensor and remote instead of an ultrasonic sensor - will be programmable using Scratch and Micropython
  21. Could not find 99455 at mindstorms.lego.com. The only ones I can see are the following: Medium motor https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/ev3-medium-servo-motor-45503 Large motor https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/ev3-large-servo-motor-45502 The large motor is more powerful, the medium motor is easier to integrate into a build.
  22. Coming soon... https://www.stonewars.de/lego-2020/ Set no 51515 "Snowflake"
