  1. Something i tried the other day. A better looking exhaust, as it bothered me since i saw it.
  2. My enhanced version is now available for free :) https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-256015/TheDeeGee/f2004-enhanced/#details
  3. Would love to see Mika Häkkinen's Championship winning car from 1998/1999, and looking at the car more closely i think it should be possible in LEGO Icons Scale. They already have the rims for it aswell with the F2004. Though seeing there is a Alonso Helmet coming, i think their next car will be the 2005 Renault.
  4. Some better comparisons of my modded version, next to a heavily modded Williams FW14B and the Original LEGO model.
  5. @TheLegoMuseum I have some good news, i've been working on instructions. Which turns out to be easier than expected (for a small model anyway) and is actually quite zen to do. Since this will be the first time it's slow going and i also have to sort out a parts list, but i'll figure it out.
  6. I dunno, i have no interest in doing instructions. So if i do release it you'd have to pick apart the model in Bricklink Studio to see how it's built. As for sticker placement, only the one on the side of the nose would need to be trimmed as it's on a 2x4 in the official model. Or it can be left off. Prototyp and Bentobrick on Rebrickable will also be modding it, and both do instructions. I did share my model with Bentobrick for idea sharing.
  7. Final modding pass, with comparison of the original model.
  8. No, it's the same as the official model as i mainly care about the exterior looks. I'm sure Prototyp (on Rebrickable) will make make it the same as he did for his MP4/4 and WF14B mods.
  9. First modding pass :)
  10. In LEGO terms the rear tires would need to be but a plate thickness wider for the rear, so i understand the choice for the same size front and back. Anyway, this model will have many issues like the previous cars. So i will wait for the Bentobrick treatment Like it looks fine up to the cockpit, but then it falls apart. The airbox should extend all the way to the rear wing, the red anyway as it currently ends with the white Marlboro logo, and the T-Cam needs to be fixed for sure. Also the rear wing seems to be far too high, or either the airbox is too low. And overall the car seems a bit too stubby looking, it could use a 2 brick length increase.
  11. Not into Technic myself, but it looks fantastic.
  12. No doubt a 1x2 rounded tile in trans red.
  13. What is with the gold sausages inside the grill btw? Regardless it's something i will remove instantly, and put two white tiles in place. EDIT: I see, it's replicating the hosing and fittings of the oil cooler.
  14. Well, it looks pretty good, but if it's still €160 then that's a big fat no and waiting for a hefty discount. Not to mention modders will no doubt overhaul it (like the Countach), which means i wouldn't be building it until then anyways. The prints are going to be a disaster as well like on the Mustang, i replaced all those with dark blue replacements.
  15. Had to add another little mod to make the inner wign end plates completely black. And the parts configuration
  16. All tweaks done now. Rear Wing has rounded corners at the front. Wing with McLaren is thinned down. Cockpit sides have slopes now instead of rounded curves. Mirriors can be rotated inwards and have the correct black mounts.
  17. This is Bentobrick's model but i changed some things. Upper rear wing is slighty shifted forward so Canon aligns better with the bottom. Added extra suspesion bars like with his MP4/4 mod. Airbox is now curved forward. The airbox is by no means perfect, but LEGO has it's limitations, i do think the car looks a lot better now because of it.
  18. The rumor on the LEGO Leaks reddit has been removed as it seems it's not going to be a Dodge Viper. The price, set number, release date and piece count are accurate though, but it will be a different car.
  19. Better be blue with white stripes.
  20. The rear wing always bothered me so i did some fitting with spare parts i had laying around. On real pictures it clearly has a radius at the front corner so that was the first thing to change, which was easy enough as you can see. And the mixels ball joints at the back never looked good to begin with. It's now similar to prototyp's approach except the stacked look is kept. Just need to order the parts in the right colors now. 21. The only thing that bothers me is the missalignment of the red slopes on the cockpit.
  22. Just like the Speed Champion sets these will be largely recolors for a hefty price.
  23. I'll see by that time them, i'm not a LEGO designer or MOC creator so i have to go by the right instructions to get things right. Worst case i'll leave the MP4/4 boxed up and resell it ^^
