  1. The hunt is half the fun. I don't buy sets anymore, but when I still did, I dumped it all in one pile, and sorted it how I saw fit and then started building.
  2. I watched all of your attempts, it was brilliant, and it indeed 'flew' a bit ! :D
  3. OP? The auction has ended, so, were you the one who bought it?
  4. That's a great review, but the dude is barely understandable, he talks so fast and swallows words quite badly. EDIT: I'd just like to add that I can hear he has a very slight speech impediment, but that's not a/the problem at all though. He'd be perfectly understandable, except that he also talks really fast and swallows half of the words he speaks.
  5. Not today, but yesterday: http://brickset.com/...er-TIE-Advanced http://brickset.com/...akin-s-Podracer http://brickset.com/...-ST-Snowspeeder http://brickset.com/...fighter-Slave-I Complete with packages, all the pieces and in great condition, and all of that for the grand total of 7 euro's ! EDIT: picture https://i.imgur.com/i6JmItd.jpg !
  6. Personally, I like video's with commentary a lot more, the silent ones, or the ones with only background music are so awkward. Just watched your crawler vid, and I thought it was not only very informative, but also quite funny [i like your accent, it sounds funny, but don't let that stop you, it's way better than having no commentary, and I think it's sweet]. Don't misunderstand me, the funny bit kept me watching at all the informative bits ! One thing you should focus on is the names of the parts you are using, you are using 'this thing' way too much when describing the used parts.
  7. Yup, I'd go for BL too.
  8. Each order you place in a store is separate from orders in other stores you order. You have to understand that each store is indeed it's own store, so if you order something from one store, that's considered one order, which includes handling, shipping costs, etc.
  9. Around 60K parts.
  10. Don't forget that LEGO City is more aimed towards younger children, and they like playing with their sets, so a boat with a hull that actually floats is a BIG plus for them, it ads so much playability, I know I used to love floating boats when I was young ! [i can't count the hours I played in bath with my floating ships] Plus, bigger parts make the sets easier to build, another plus for the younger children: it is easy to build, and really looks the part !
  11. I talked about it, does that count?
  12. It sounds stupid, but not being able to buy certain sets: the Minecraft Micro worlds, the Back to the Future set, the Ghostbusters set, and the one I regret the most: at some point, a local online shop here in Holland had a 20% off of a three-set from the LEGO Movie [spaceship spaceship SPACESHIP, the Dropship and the Mech]. There are many more, but these are the most recent ones I missed out on [or am at this moment missing out on].
  13. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that I've seen 90% of all Brick Show video reviews. I love their style, especially the corniness, it keeps it light and fun. To me, the reviews are both informative and entertaining, which is great. Another one I really love is Jangbricks, some might think he's a bit long winded [which he is at some points, but not too often] but very thorough, plus he's been doing all the Classic Space sets, which I grew up on ! Nostalgia !! Jason and Stephen, keep doing what you're doing, but don't make it too commercial in nature.
  14. NUTS ! From what I can see, there's at least 5 to 10K pieces there, and if most of the bricks' integrity is in tact, I am SO FRIGGIN JEALOUS !
  15. Probably 0014, because by the time I was ten, I considered myself too old for LEGO.
  16. No idea, but about a third of my classic space minifigs are yellow, and I stopped 'collecting' [read: wanting LEGO] around '81, because I turned 10 then, and considered myself 'too old' [can you imagine...?!] for LEGO.
  17. Not really, check for instance this picture, from 1979: http://brickset.com/...own-Minifigures [you can see the yellow spacefig in the background] Or this set from 1979: http://brickset.com/...ace-minifigures And so on. But you are right in the sense that it seems like the first TWO classic space minifigs were white and red. EDIT: the first regular LEGO set where the yellow classic space minifig appears seems to be this set http://brickset.com/...urface-Explorer WAY later than I expected, because half my minifigs from that time are yellow. They must have all been from the minifig packs.
  18. Fair enough, I forgot about that bit. But I still think some kids will be very disappointed tho.
  19. Just FYI: of the first classic space wave, only the yellow, red and white figs were made. The black and blues came a few years later. This is why I think Benny should've been red, yellow or white.
  20. Wow, I'm stunned ! I don't understand how the LEGO could withstand that much punishment !! Is the LEGO brittle now, that you can see/feel? Is it really ok...? :D Amazing.
  21. I didn't buy anything today, but I picked this up yesterday ! http://brickset.com/...Universal-Motor Sadly, it's missing three pieces [the 2x4 brick with holes, and the two technic axles], but was in tip top shape, box in good condition, no corrosion, so I was very happy. I did pay a bit more than I wanted, but oh well, €15 euro for that set aint bad at all ! I still have to test the battery box and motor though, because I have no C-batteries at the moment.
  22. I was watching a YouTube clip the other day [swoHODZToCg] and all I kept thinking was: what if a kid really looked forward to get a few polybags with his pocket money? That kid will be so disappointed. I know I would be. And what does he do with them? He parts them out ! I didn't make a link, because that might bring unwanted attention, and that's not fair either.
  23. Hmmm, nothing ! That's bad, I mostly do SOMETHING with LEGO every day, but today, not a thing ! This weekend I took apart all my IV, V and VI movie SW sets that I had assembled.
  24. Hey guys, This forum is getting bigger and bigger, it's time for an IRC channel, aka somewhere we can chat with eachother in real time, be it about LEGO or about anything else at all ! So, if you have an IRC client, join: irc.freenode.net ##bricks If you don't have a client, just go to: http://webchat.freenode.net/?nick=brickfol&channels=%23%23bricks Sorry for the captcha ! Nothing I can do about that. Anyway, there's so many people here, please let the channel fill in with people, so if you join, keep in there for not a few seconds or minutes, but a few hours or days ! It might take days/weeks, but in the end, that's not very long [a lot of us have been waiting for years for a realtime chat], once we get to chat with eachother !
  25. Ah, ok ! :)
