I think the design does stand out a bit, to me it seems to have alot more black and more of a militarized look, something new to cap's lego suits. You're right about iron man, though, I guess he will always be an insanely popular character now, and without him appearing near-constantly in the MCU they need to get suits from somewhere. When you consider how few directly comic-based sets lego has made for marvel (wolverine chopper set, and debatably some of the early 2017 sets), it makes sense that they'd make more gamerverse sets, and put lots of iron men in them. I've never understood why retail exclusives are considered disappointing. Sure, it might be inconveniant to have to go to, say, a Wal-Mart instead of a target, but if you buy the set online from lego or amazon the impact is completely negated.

Ugh, glad they fixed that. there was that weird in-between period too, where they all had the same hairpieces in, i think it was the mos-eisly set, but the faceprints were really weird for luke and han, luke's especially, in trying to be realistic and capturing what looked like wrinkles and spots and what have you. So you had them all with these 1978 hairpieces, but faceprints that were TOO realistic. Glad they fixed both those problems. -
I agree, the main thing people don't like about these for most of them just seems to be that they don't look like the MCU characters, specifically the faces, but lego marvel means that we'll have very few new face prints, so I wouldn't worry about that. I love the costumes from the game, and while I know I'm in the minority with liking the captain america suit all the other costumes are good, and it's nice to get new designs. Any sort of alternate iron man suit, such as the one you mentioned, would likely require a wave 2. I would say tht depends on the popularity of the game, but seeing as we're getting sets that have had elements leak almost a year before the game's release, and will be released over 5 months before the game, it'll really just depend on how much they do for black widow, eternals, and falcon and winter soldier. Good idea, I made the mistake of purchasing that set awhile back and still haven't found a use for the truck parts or reaper.

I agree that obi-wan's for ep 3 is alright, but I think anakin needs a new hairpiece since his hair is longer than the part suggests. Moody's hair might not work too well, but it would probably work better than his current hair, which is meant for the hair anakin has in the clone wars animated series. -

I agree, it's the only set where his inclusion makes any sense. does it really, though? This is the first time we've gotten battle-damaged robes, and they could easily be used, well, whenever you need a jedi figure to have battle damage. those spots could easily be seen as dirt smudges, lightsaber wounds, etc. -

True, (though I still think the old republic trooper figures had the best heavy blasters), The stud shooter has it's uses, but at the very least lego could throw in accurate weapons too. They can't be THAT expensive to produce, and lego keeps the stud shooters in as play features. he does, I really like the damaged robes on these variants and the faceprint is great too. -
I think we've known that for a bit as he would've had to be a big enough build to be part of the leaked set descriptions, but it's nice to have it confirmed. sp//Dr would be a very interestin build though. Thanks. It makes it much less likely. If you mean the aviator cap, that's incredibly disappointing. It'd almost be better for them to have no helmet.

I understand that they provide a play feature, but they make battlepacks so much less valuable as you then have to go buy a ton of blasters to get the soldiers in the pack to look accurate -

It's likely, but it's not like all the tuskens use the same weapon, so maybe we'll get something new. At the very least, we should be grateful it's not a stud shooter. -

He'd also come in the microfighter, I assume. I like the new skyhopper pilot, unless the bantha's terrible I'll buy the set he comes in. -

They're all characters we haven't seen yet in lego form, and furthermore: Jannah could be spicy due to maybe a new element for her bow, or just that she's a new character, Frik could be spicy due to using a baby-groot esque mold or again being a new character, and we've wanted the KOR for so long an inclusion of a new one would be pretty "spicy". Exactly. "spicy" probably doesn't mean anything about spices, or even a game-changing or really interesting design; it's a common slang term among gen z to mean "cool" or such, and the leaker probably just didn't recognize the figure, as you said, and called it "spicy". -

He won't have a big role in the film, but maybe in the comic series they're releasing or the upcoming novel with his character on the cover. Maybe the novel explains how he rejoins, and then he's just kind of there in IX. People who only watch the films wouldn't know wedge too well and just think it's another resistance officer, or "oh I remember that guy, cool", where the people who actually care where he was all this time would already know from the novel. -
I'd think we'd only see wanda, vision, and an antagonist unless they were making multiple sets, but these characters would show up in later sets for the group they are part of in the comics. I agree, swat armor. It gives him a look like the world war 2 one where it's more based on the military design, but taken into the 21st century.

It was actually confirmed. I would say my hopes are very much up that he'd appear in IX. As a minifigure, on the other hand, not so much. -

I hope it is, but I doubt it very much. He probably won't have more than a few lines in IX, and there are so many other characters with much more important roles. (Jannah, Babu Frick, the other KOR, etc) -

Are you saying you'd prefer a recolor instead of a more accurate one? In my opinion getting a more accurate vehicle is always better than a recolour, and since it's likely lego had a $50 price already marked for this set, I'm glad we got what we got instead of some random side build or just the set being $10 more expensive for 1 extra figure. Part of the structure. -
He is not. Maybe, but unlikely, as the general public at this point believes thanos to be the avenger's greatest villian, not some head in a chair with an army of yellow bois. people would be confused if he was just some dlc villian. I think it's possible black panther and hawkeye could actually be our first looks at the game versions, since we know hawkeye will be DLC, and black panther is so popular at this point that he is inevitable. DC has done so much to make sure everyone knows this joker is so very different from all their other films and jokers, and so very not for kids, I think a "normal" joker figure is ok, given how drastically different looking it is from Pheonix's joker. I'm not saying we'll never see deadpool, just that I don't think this'll have too much of an impact. The only thing that really annoys me about all this, though, is how hard it is to make a purist custom of pheonix's joker. Well, Iron man comes in a $10 set instead of a $130 set, but i get what you mean with it being a game figure. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd prefer a figure of square enix's captain america to a bright blue comic version. While I don't think the suit works as well as his MCU suit, it just looks cool.

Yeah, it's fake. As mentioned earlier, it's edited to be a slightly less fake-looking version of the incredibly stupid "leak" someone tried where they forgot to switch rey's legs out so it looked like she was wearing the jacket and a black shirt over her desert outfit, just photoshopped to make the torso seem like a new print with her desert outfit under the jacket. -
Pheonix's joker is so visually different from every other joker, and joker is literally one of the 5ish most famous DC characters, whereas deadpool really isn't THAT well known besides the R-rated films and the only thing differing him from the comic version is the shade of red. Even if you say they could bring in the grey suit, it's still deadpool being known as a super violent, profane charater as opposed to there being a version of joker that kills some people. In the comics joker tears his face off and wears it as a mask, it's more about the public perception of the figure than specific iteriations. I would argue james bond is different as it was a creator expert car set, historically sets most kids wouldn't buy, with no figures. They leaked the iron man from the mech and I hope it's fake so much, just because I wanted a new MCU suit, a more classic comic suit, or a cheap way to get mk 85. This is just a dark red one that looks...almost...like....the suit from the game..... wait a second! @HarryVader I agree, once I recognized it as the suit from the game my opinion of the suit drastically improved, as at that point my main focus had been "why are we getting some weird crossover of MCU color and printing with comic printing and elements?" instead of seeing how great the printing is. I hope we get a new tony stark face for the new actor, but this is a good enough figure that if they reused it it wouldn't be that bad.

Agreed, but I think it works for both, just better for kenobi. I forgot about build-a-fig, I've got to get to a physical store sometime. Between that and all the dual molded limbs, it's worth the $10 for or whatever it is.
