LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I cannot find this ANYWHERE, I hope we get an official reveal soon I'd hardly call getting four unique mandos with capes in a $15 set a "big disappointment", especially since I believe someone here said that we're getting more mando sets later next year Basically -

thanks, forgot about them. at this point the only thing I can think of is that they all have capes, but that's hardly "amazing" -
Very well-made!

If this is true, than a little disapointing no jetpacks or heavy, but still an amazing BP i agree. Maybe in the new mando sets falconfan mentioned as @jdubbs mentiones it's not new or females in a BP. However, it could be having 4 different characters with no repeats, is that a first? -
I hope they have quantity limits or my wallet will have a surprise withdrawl of the approximate number of polybags for every memeber of the kree starforce. Regardless, this is AMAZING news, and proof that the lego marvel line still has hope. It will be interesting to see all the complaints incoming of "they didn't include maria" "$(price) is too much for a polybag" or whatnot. Star wars prequel memes are a needed part of all franchise discussions

Amazing news! I think we'll see a small location playset set for one of the times you encounter second sister, with Cal, Second sister, and hopefully a purge trooper. Something big like the mantis seems a bit much given what lego's done for games in the past. BD-1's inclusion to me seems a bit unlikely to me, he's either got to be massivly overscaled or a new mold like D-0 This actually could be it. We've had a few instances in sets before, but never in a battle pack. Edit: apparently this was debunked. Maybe arm printing then? @jdubbs statement about the capes has me worried we won't get jetpacks. @CF Mitch ninth sister as a big figure seems unlikely to me. I don't think lego would make her at all, since too many new molds would be needed, and she's not too big of a character? (I haven't finished the game yet but it seems to me Kal, second sister, and the electrostaff purge trooper are the most likely options. -

I don't know, but I can't think of any other "amazing firsts" There's already been battlepacks, such as the 2014 kasyyyk pack, with an actual good build, new molds, AND four army-builder figures without a random officer. The amazing first can't be new molds, as we've already gotten those (2014 utapau pack as one example). it can't be capes, we've had those before (2018 jedi and clone troopers pack as a example). It's been confirmed that it's not baby yoda and that there's still four figures. I'm not saying my idea's at all likely, and you bring up a valid point that blows a pretty big hole in my idea, but I honestly cannot think of what this could be. -

I would say superman is mroe likely than shazam If we're going off marvel, as it's the most famous marvel characters (spider-man and MCU iron man) and people commonly seen as their archenemies -
As do I, that's got to be disappointing. I'm overjoyed to see that Lego has done this, it makes it so much easier to get a highly desired figure. Thank you for pointing this out (with the sarcasm). this is something people have been wanting forever, a way to get a comic con figure without spending hundreds to thousands of dollars, and now that lego did it, likely as a GWP for no more than $75, a FREE PRODUCT if you buy lego marvel (and not even the "garbage waves', there's still great sets like the sanctum on the lego shop, it's a bad thing.

No, but she's in the y-wing in the normal set, seen piloting it, so it seems possible that at some point she will pilot a resistance y-wing. Lego star wars sets rarely get which character pilots which ship wrong. And something tells me she'll end up fighting with the resistance during the film, even if she isn't officially part of it, per se. dang, i was hoping for that character. I guess now we have to wait and see if they ever do a razorcrest set. It could, and stay with me here because this kind of seems like a pipe dream, include actual blasters AND stud shooters. New SW polybag leaked of Poe's x-wing, the colouring doesn't work at that scale because it's too small to get the patterns right, but the ship looks pretty good for an x-wing polybag. I like that they have a new design for the cannons, it looks much more accurate -

true, those are great. i have no interest in a zorri, (though that might change after TROS, since all we've seen her do so far is stand around), but the double punch of the new kylo (and ingots in dark titanium looking like beskar on the ship) and the set being only $10 makes it a day one buy for me Luckily, resistance x-wing pilots are pretty easy to find, and if it's anything like the OT, the suits will be the same. -

1. That's not really anyone here's fault, is it? Complaining you don't have a computer is like others who can't get disney+ yet because it's not in their region, except you can do something about it and buy one or go to a library or something 2. Again, just having common decency. If the spoiler character was to appear in a set, or if it had been at minimum 2 weeks, than it may have made sense. 3. If you're talking about the torso, it's not likely to be that characters, and it is a spoiler that 4. see above. And finally, you've already had a moderator AND an admin tell you to use a spoiler tag or just knock it off. -
That's true, but the garbage vehicles have details too. Lego definately put more cost into trolls this year than it did for marvel, but we can't expect them to completely redo the budget halfway through production when they learn that the sets sold well last year. That's...exactly my point. Completely forgot about the hall of armor being an endgame set, your're right, that one was amazing. And I agree that FFH wasn't that bad.

I would still say just to have common decency towards others, as the mods and admins have said. I get the complainers point about too many artoos in general, but as long as his appearances make logical sense I think it's ok. Why do you get to decide the spoiler ban? It seemed to me the general consensus was 2 weeks, not one. And mentioning IS definately a spoiler for chapter 3, which came out literally the day you made the comment. I'd just say, it takes about 1/2 a second to click the spoiler tag, and it's nice for people who haven't seen it yet, so why not? -

The above is more or less what I believe we'll see in the pack yeah, this episode is amazing and the battle pack likely will be too Have to agree with you on the color scheme, looks pretty good to me. And with the price as well, what's it supposed to be, $100? no way. Might want to use some spoiler tags there... -
I missed that, but looking back on it with all those gold ingots, I might buy the set instead of bricklinking iron man Actually, that's an interesting point, since both the bank robberies are junior sets. Is is that the juniors sets need to have the villians focused on stealing, now? Like, so it's not fighting, maybe they have new standards for their 4+ sets. Exactly, people here forget how long it takes to make a set. They really aren't though...

I don't know about the mech, I think they all look pretty stupid, and personally I was hoping the venom one would be more organic like last years. However, I completely agree about the legged spidercycle. The previous wave, and the plane and stuff in this wave, those are ugly and stupid. This is such an abomination, it's beautiful. I also won't be picking it up, but it just has this perverse concept of two idiotic previous sets mashed together, along with no purpose even if spider man needed a vehicle for whatever reason. No i get that, I was just pointing out that this likely isn't disney's fault. In my opinion the reason these other themes get more detailed and adult sets is because they have more adult interest. Sure, adults love the MCU, but it just seems to me like it's a less likely group of people to spend a ton of money on detailed lego models when the have much less iconic vehicles and whatnot than star wars, where it's all about the spaceships. The main focus of marvel is the figures, which yeah, should be of better quality than they are, but less adults are going to spend tons of money on garbage builds for figures, and most children will still buy a set even if captain america doesn't have leg printing. True, infinity war's sets were great. But then, it had more non-spoiler stuff than endgame to make models off of. Endgame really only had the quinjet that shows up for a few seconds, since so much of the film was kept under wraps.

I read somewhere that our spoilery little friend from the mandalorian was the reason some merchandise was held back or hidden (and they'd want to have ALOT of merch for this guy, so you know they've got it waiting in the wings). Might be that lego isn't sure if they can release it yet. ^non spoiler version of above: No one's torso in the show really resembles the leaked one, so maybe it's considered a spoiler and was just an unlucky production leak. -

I think the head print is different but the complaints are referring to that he appears twice. In my opinion both his appearances make sense, but it's more so that another landspeeder exists at all this soon after the previous that annoys me. I think they're just equipment holders o decoration or something. It's clearly not a modular set, as it has nothing to connect to in-universe. -

I quite like the colouration. The earth orange goes well with the white Exactly, the set reminds me of the diorama I made back in middle school Not for january, I don't think. Um, it is called the sith troopers battlepack...
