LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Meanwhile in America, where the only way to get 212th troopers is the $140 AT-TE... Though I still think being the only country able to get that Cloud City duel set back in 2020 means we got the better end of the deal, all things considered. I wouldn't trade that set for a hundred 212th troopers. -

Day -12 purchase. I shall break into Lego's factory and obtain the first produced copy of this masterpiece. -
Very nice AT-RT and BARC both, but that Crab Droid is by far the best I've ever seen. I love the way you got the second "eye" to be smaller than the first, as well as the claw usage.

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Revenge of the sith wave. My favorite of the prequel films and a good movie, even if I can't take it seriously when people say it's better than Empire Strikes Back or Rogue One. Microfighters: Anakin's Starfighter ($9.99): Anakin Skywalker (ROTS, Headset) General Grievous's Starfighter ($9.99): General Grievous V-wing vs Tri-fighter ($19.99): Clone pilot (closed helmet), b1 battle droid Battle Packs: Clone Trooper Legions ($14.99): 2x p2 shiny, 1x coruscant guard, and 1x 212th trooper Build is a small defensive barricade with a blaster cannon Battle Droids ($14.99): 2x b1 battle droid, 4x b2 battle droid, 2x droidika, 1x crab droid. (NOTE: All the B2 battle droids would have an updated design using different molds) Duel: Senate Duel ($19.99): Small build of palpatine's office with a function to flip him out of his seat. Comes with Yoda and Palpatine. Tank droid assault ($34.99): Tank droid and accurately sized AT-RT. Comes with 2x b1 battle droid, 2x 41st trooper, and 1x 41st AT-RT driver. Wheel Bike Chase ($44.99): Grievous's wheel bike and a brick-built Boga. Comes with Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, 2x magnaguard, and Commander Cody. Duel on the Invisible Hand ($59.99): The entrance to the throne room and staircases down to the throne area, as well as the throne itself and a function for that thing that falls on Obi-Wan. Comes with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Count Dooku, Anakin Skywalker, Chancellor Palpataine, and 2x b2 battle droid. ARC-170 dogfight ($119.99): ARC-170 starfighter and 2x Vulture droids (Smaller than 2014 set). Comes with 2x helmeted clone pilot, Captain Jag, Plo Koon (with new head mold), 2x b1 battle droid, and 2x brick-built droidikas. Venator-class star destroyer ($149.99): Venator with interior bridge, holotable room, armory, and medbay. Comes with Anakin Skywalker, 2x unarmored clone officer, 2x clone gunner, 2x p2 shiny, 2x 501st trooper, a GNK droid, and an astromech droid. UCS: UCS ETA-2 Interceptor ($199.99): Anakin skywalker (new hair mold dual-molded with headset), R2-D2 (with third leg assembly) UCS 2 (I don't think there are any good MBS options for this film, but so long as your suggestion isn't a jedi temple, prove me wrong!): Venator Star Destroyer ($699.99): Clone Trooper P2 (arm printing, side leg printing), unarmored clone officer (dual-molded legs) Quote sets: Duel on Mustafar ($69.99): The iconic high ground by a lava river. Comes with Obi-Wan kenobi (singed robes) and two different anakin figures: Sith Anakin, and a very burned Anakin. Also comes with two swappable qoutes: "You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you." and "It's over Anakin, I have the high ground!" Darth Vader is Born ($79.99): The operating table vader is made on, and the surrounding medical bay. Comes with Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, and 2-3 medical droids. Quote is simply, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" -

As an American, can confirm. I hope all sets end up being made, but the only one I was planning on getting right away was the plane, so it doesn't bother me too much. -

*"The Batman" riddler voice* No, No, No, NOoooo, wrong! The correct answer is Black Adam! Jokes aside the morbius response may be my favorite comment on this site. -

I mean, this is pretty clear, isn't it? At first it was 4/5, only missing the almost universally hated 4th film. Then the set for the second film was cut for unknown reasons (Hopefully a soon-to-be-fixed structural flaw and not some inane reason). We still have sets for the 1st and 3rd films, as well as likely those for the upcoming film. -

I'm sad that we wouldn't get the design with the cross on it since that's my favorite one, but yeah, Azreal would be awesome. He's like if Daredevil was also Punisher. -

I don't begrudge you for thinking I was serious, I've advocated for rebel friend to be included in sets before (Granted, it was the skywalker saga polybag and some other GWP, but still) To be fair, Yavin has TWELVE TO FIFTEEN FIGS LIKE SERIOUSLY WHAT -

Fine by me. More figs the better, even if they are repeats. Lack of honor guard is definately a miss for the set, but it still sounds great overall. Of course, I was joking. I wouldn't realistically expect or want him to show up in anything other than a polybag, since as much as I love the guy, he isn't canon. -

Thank you, that's very nice. I'm glad you like them. Because the tank driver helmet part isn't in stud.io

Not getting away with it that easily. Wish granted. $650 geonosis arena which has no minifigs, but 25 of the rubber duck mold. Same. My interest in the star wars comics has petered out over time, but the early stuff was excellent. No, it could be from anything. I think some guys are still holding out for a gunship with P2 rex, but I'm not keeping any hopes. (Yes I am. Home one, home one, home one, home one!) TWELVE TO FIFTEEN WHAT IN THE FORCE I'm also very excited, have been wanting one since the prototype was shown in that visual dictionary. -

I always lose mine whenever I purist one, though.... I agree that it's not a good idea to get hopes up for anything until we have more concrete information. We've been burned before, badly. -
Question: How literal does a cozy corner have to be? If, hypothetically, a vignette isn't something we would see as cozy, but is where the character feels at home (think a giant trash can for Oscar the grouch, although this is not what I'm doing.), would that be allowed?

Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
This from the guy who forgot to list 2023's Automorbile I think it will be a comics batcave. It's the only way to get a real figure selection, and I can't see them making a figure-scale set this big with only a couple figs. -

like 50%. It'd be a little odd to have 2 batmobiles on shelves at the same time, but considering this one was delayed and the batmobile is, like, the most iconic superhero vehicle ever, it wouldn't be out of the question that a comic batmobile releases alongside it. -

^Seconded. Very based. You're entitled to your opinion, but this seems kind of nonsensical to me. It's 3 figs we haven't seen in over a decade. What would you even want from this set? Minor rebel leaders are the only completely new figs we could get, and if you're complaining about decade-old remakes already, the argument for Mon Mothma or Crix Madine weakens a little. It's not like a mon mothma minifig would have anything more than a "slightly tweaked" face and torso from ANH leia. One of my favorites too. Loved that they used the jacket in some books and comics from the immediately post-ANH era. Technically we don't even know that, renown says more might be included. -

Hmm. Honor guards would be preferred, but as-is that's still a nice selection with quite a few minifigures. Hopefully they are present in the final set if there are more figs as you say is possible. -

The amount of parts that would need to be swapped to do this limits it somewhat. Usually 2-in-1s have to have the same colors. Not sure why everyone's whining so much about the UCS X-wing. It's been a decade since the last one, and it's one of the three most iconic star wars vehicles. Is anyone actually surprised? -

I don't get why the villains thing is an issue. Just say they're attacking the batcave. Lego does it often enough in the system sets. -

I suppose it's possible, and I certainly think a gunship is coming within the next year or two, but given how random the rest of the wave is I wouldn't get your hopes up. Oh, and mark me down as a fan of the 2020-2023 clone design. -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Good, I guess. The phantom menace features a child slave, and people are tortured in SW, Harry Potter, etc. I mean look realistically you can cancel all 4 of the sets: ToD: religion reference, racism I guess TLC plane: Nazi vehicle, includes a Nazi Raiders ark set: ark is a religious icon Raiders 18+ set: If the ToD cultists are racist, then the Raiders islanders probably are too. -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, it was always supposed to be some sort of horrifying cult that corrupted the image of Kali. They clearly weren't going "this is what we think hinduism is". Or if it turns out that the plane is also cancelled, 2 sets. That would be comical. And I 100% wouldn't be buying either. There's no point in an indiana jones theme if you remove all religous or military references. That's like a 20 minute trilogy max.
