LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Related question. I have other expenses besides lego (shocking) that require my paycheck. Can I direct deposit one of my kidneys to lego as a sort of barter? Also agree with @Kaijumeister that a Cal minifig is essential this year. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you! I think as long as there's a solid technic structure, they can just attach a handle like they do for star destroyers and other frigates. ROTJ wave: A-wing microfighter ($9.99): A-wing pilot AT-ST Microfighter ($9.99): AT-ST driver Desert skiff vs sail barge microfighters ($19.99): Luke skywalker and Boba Fett Battle packs: Rebel commandos ($14.99): 1x rebel commando (tan vest), 2x rebel commando (green trenchcoat), 1x ewok scout. Comes with a tree trap build with a little net. Imperial Bunker troops ($14.99): 2x stormtrooper, 2x navy trooper. Build is a small portion of the bunker with a turret and radar dish System: A Jedi's Destiny ($24.99): Palpatine's throne room (A much smaller version, featuring only a small stairway to the chair, the window, and an outcropping to the pit, along with a function to slice out a catwalk) with Luke, Vader, and Palpatine. Ewok Attack ($29.99): Ewok glider, speeder bike, and catapult builds with Wicket, Paploo, a storm trooper, and a scout trooper. Speeder Chase ($39.99): 2x speeder bikes and a small "track" with some trees and a clearing. Comes with Endor Luke, Leia, Wicket, and a scout trooper. AT-ST Assault ($79.99): AT-ST build and two large trees with a log smash function, and a small bit of ewok village up top. Comes with Chewbacca, 1x AT-ST driver, a stormtrooper, Chirpa, Logray, and an ewok warrior. (There would also be two of the rounded 1x2 tile included with swaddled baby ewoks printed on them) Rebel Fleet ($109.99): A-wing and B-wing builds alonside a small rebel command center with utility vehicle. Comes with an A-wing Pilot, B-wing pilot, Ten Numb, Lando, Han Solo, and 2x stormtrooper. Imperial Shuttle ($129.99): Largest system imperial shuttle yet with 2x shuttle pilot, Vader, Luke, the Emperor, and 2x royal guard. UCS: UCS Mon Cala Cruiser ($499.99): Massive Mon Cala Cruiser with microscale hanger (containing 2 x-wings, 2 a-wings, a y-wing, and a b-wing). Comes with Mon Mothma and Admiral Ackbar. MBS: MBS Jabba's Palace ($349.99): Large Jabba's Palace (vertically tall as well, arranged to look like his palace's exterior from the back.). The tower side contains, at the top, a guard tower. At "ground level" is the entrance gate, and a staircase winds below that to a small prisons area. The other side contains a small seating area at "ground level" and a staircase leading down to the droid torture room. The centermost, and largest, area contains Jabba's throne room with, of course, a function to drop a minifig into the Rancor Pit, which would have a brick-built rancor. Comes with Jabba, Salacious B. Crumb, Bib Fortuna, Boba Fett, 2x gammorrean guards, Han (unfrozen), Luke (robed), Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Leia (boushh, Leia (slave), Lando (disguised), a weequay, a Gran, Ephant Mon, Max Rebo, a Yuzzum singer, Sny Snoodles, Oola, Lyn Me, EV-9D9, and a GNK droid, as well as a B'morr Monk build. Quote sets: Celebration ($49.99): Ewok Village treetop with Luke Skywalker, and force ghosts of Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Quote is "may the force be with you, always." (Which, I know, wasn't spoken in the moment, but nothing really was, and the quote fits.) Rebel Briefing ($89.99): Rebel briefing room with death star plans, seating, etc. Comes with Mon Mothma, Crix Madine, Admiral Ackbar, Han Solo, Wedge Antilles, and Lando Calrissian. Quote is "Many Bothans died to get us these plans" -
MOC: Hell's Kitchen (Daredevil modular building)
Mandalorianknight replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thank you! It's not the most visually appealing model, but I think it fits the show pretty well. If I can find the space to set up a modular street in my home I'll get the parts for this to put it alongside the bugle. -

Oh, sorry. I meant that out of the areas you'd consider for a best set of all time (details, building techniques, minifigures, stuff like that) the only area it doesn't have is like a technic structure, as you'd see in large sets like the falcon or AT-AT. However, that's not a knock against the set, as it doesn't need a technic structure. -

This is by far my favorite location set. Might be the best aesthetic design of all time. The only area it's missing to be the best set is structural/technic skeleton, and that's not a failing of the set but simply that it doesn't require one. -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
That only works if they include a pre-order option. "Hey, this is coming, eventually" won't do much since people if people are gonna move on from the film by April, they'll DEFINATELY move on from the set. I think the film should do well enough that a set for it releasing too late would still sell decently (Due to Kang, pretty much), but we'll see. -

We are not alone, brother! Same. I honestly didn't plan on buying this, but this looks visually stunning. I might have to scrounge up $500 and some table space. -

To be fair to Mr. Freeze, the movie isn't why people like him. BTAS basically remade the character, and people like him for that, the comics that followed, and the Arkham games. I even see people saying they want Bryan Cranston to play him in the Reeves films (which, I don't see it, but sure) -

It was. Don't get me wrong, I threw in the 2025 and 2026 stuff so people would know I didn't actually have info, but those are legitimate guesses for 2023/2024. I would also like a new AT-ST UCS (And X-wing... it's only been a decade but I feel like they could do so much better now) -

I mean Rivendell's coming soon enough that lego's teasing it, so at least some of them are for 2023. That said, I also thought promobricks said it was this year, but there's been a billion posts about that leak so I don't know what's real or not anymore. Someone at some point said we were getting more No Way Home sets, but the leak was fake, but they are coming, or something. There was a potentially AI generated indiana jones set that turned out to be real, but with black stripes across half of it for some reason. Dogs and Cats are friends. Pigs are flying. It's a madhouse in here. He doesn't, but I actually do: 2023: May: UCS AT-ST Remake. Fall: UCS Sail barge. 2024: May: UCS X-wing Remake. Fall: MBS Pentaki 2025: May: UCS GNK droid. Fall: UCS Pit droid. 2026- lego ceases to run the UCS line, instead calling it "the average price of a set nowadays". The lineup is being considered to just be system sets but with UCS price tags. -

You put a goat in the leaked medieval market set, he'll eat for a day. You give him a goat battle pack in set 77012 and he'll eat for the rest of his life. This diorama looks pretty real to me. -

Very excited to finally see this for real, after all the leaks and rumors. I also find it absolutely hilarious that the ring is distorting our perception of the set. Twisting our minds, so to speak! -

What's that? Some obscure novel or game? IIRC, there are 3 indiana jones films, with a fourth slated for release this june that may or may not end up existing. -

More or less same here, though I think the Raiders set is interesting and further images are needed for me to get an idea of it's quality. That last crusade set looks AWESOME, and I'm definately picking it up. It's also good to note that we are getting a military plane and nazi pilot in the set (Though I'm sure he won't be named as such), which does open up set possibilities to at least the 08/09 levels. A friend of mine is hoping for the last crusade convoy (sans the tank of course) and I'm inclined to also hope for that (or, you know, a second wave of legacy sets in general. Even if the fifth film is excellent, the original trilogy's going to hold the largest place in my heart.) -

Yeah, they're of course fake. Though tbh the guy doesn't bother me as much because he's openly admitting he makes fake leaks, and his alt builds are pretty cool. Now, the jokers who double and triple down on fake rumors, they get to me. Which is, of course, the point. So to recap the past week or so: Sail Barge- Almost certainly real, might be coming this year? N-1- not real. -

Poe's and the generic T-70. But I agree, it was very unlikely we'd get mando's and the standard N-1 on shelves at the same time. -

[MOC] Brickheadz William Wallace and friends.
Mandalorianknight replied to Jonsson's topic in LEGO Licensed
Love it! William Wallace looks deceptively adorable here as a brickheadz. I also thought you were using some sort of custom mold for Rambo's gun at first, it's very well-made. Love the minifig hands at the tip, they really work at this scale. -

Those were probably lucky guesses, considering he also "leaked" a new medieval minidoll focused theme that was complete BS, and even gave a whole "i'm a fake leaker, ban me" villain monologue at the end there. Sucks, he was one of the few Dune fans around here. Also, I'm glad you've brought my profile pic suggestion to fruition. It's more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Honestly, I don't think I'd get the X-mansion. I'm not saying they shouldn't do it, I think it's a good idea, I just personally want to see some smaller sets alongside it. Sentinal and Blackbird. -

The X-man mansion looking roughest fits with it being rumored for a later release date than the others. I believe the leaks are real as well, but if it is somehow fake, the leaker's already got enough notority to make Mr. No and that last sirvonlego fake leak look like nothing in comparison. I've seen mainstream news articles about this leak. -

They just need something kid-friendly he's in. One of the many reasons we need a new animated series for batman. You and me both, man. We were totally wrong. I do find it funny that some of the people who mocked him hardest are still waffling on the leaks. That gotham set is really interesting to me. I haven't even seen much of BTAS, but I love the overall design. I think if I've got the money, I'll get it when it comes out. -
Always great to see these mechs of yours. I think you made the right choice with this one, it would be kinda weird to have a scaled-up human like the the droids, armor, and scales of the others. This look really suits dengar. I can't wait to see the Zuckuss mech to round out the group, if that is in development.
