  1. We don't know much about it because we don't have any official pictures of the sets yet, the main thing we know is that it will be integrated with an app.
  2. I posted that before "Hidden Side" was reveled. And at this point we don't know much about it.
  3. The set itself is Ok, and for the 14$ you got it on sale is a better price. But in my opinion is not worth the full price...
  4. The first few Batman sets were good, but those we get now are the problem. This looks like a 12$ set a max. The thing is... this set is costs 30$ in my country. 30$?!?!!? For this?!?!!? The build isn't anything great, and the minifigs are bland. If this set was 12$ it might be worth it, but for 30$ it's an overpriced cash-gab. You could argue "But it's only 20$ in the US..." Thing is I don't care about how cheap a set is other countries, as long as it's overpriced in my country.
  5. That false quote remained stuck and I couldn't get rid of it.
  6. Are you sure about that?
  7. I agree with Henry here. LEGO is obviously focusing on Batman much more than they really should. You can clearly tell that LEGO has a certain fatigue for the specific character of Batman. Can't tell if that applies to Spider Man too, but definitely with Batman. And I too would rather see a Star Wars ship that was not remade very much than another X-Wing or Falcon.
  8. No, I made this topic with no intention to "bash at licensed themes" as you said. I think this topic has gone a bit to far. I created this with the intention of people sharing sets that ex. represent violent scenes from movies, not to get into discussing all that has been discussed so far. Back on topic, here is another set in preticular which shows a violent scene: The scene where Anakin is buring almost to death is not something I would show to a young kid...
  9. How about this set? At first nothing seems wrong about this set, untill you take a closer look at the minifigures... They are a little... realistic... in a not very kid-friendly way in my opinion... Also the scene this set is based of is itself not very aproapriate for kids.
  10. It's not necessary a collab, anyone can be at the Eljay Johnson Show if they can gave a good discussion with him.
  11. I think the problem is not with the actual set, but rather with the source material.
  12. I agree what people say here, but on various occasions we get sets that are definitely not kid friendly, like that Big Bang Theory set. (Correct me if I am wrong, I have never watched that Show). While the primarily scene depicted in that set is indeed the Minecart chase scene, the set still features the place where the Stones are hold and where people are sacrificed, although not shown in the set.
  13. LEGO is obiosly a kid's toy, but sometimes we get sets that are not nececerly kid friendly. Like, for example, this: We all know what happens in this scene from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. And what happends here is defeneatly not kid friendly. What sets are not 100% kid-friendly in your opinion?
  14. I agree with this. There is indeed a interest for LEGO to make certain sets/promotions Walmart/Target exclusives, forcing the Europeans to buy those things online (not to talk about shipping and stuff). And I agree with this too.
  15. This video: Sorry, I don't have a Time Stamp Just because people feel some way or another about a new product or company doesn't mean they do the same in everyday life.
  16. What do you mean by this? A Original Space theme actually has the chance of selling better than Star Wars, if done properly. I have seen some people who were actually more into licensed themes than original themes say themselves that Star Wars is currently for the first time at it's low point. Quote from a video on YouTube: "Star Wars has been consistently running for 20 years, but it has never had a low point until now." I can see Star Wars selling best after Episode IX comes out. After that, people will likey loose interest in the theme, slightly slowing the sales down. And that would be the perfect time to bring back a Original Space back, and could potentially sell even better than Star Wars, again, if done properly.
  17. I agree. I feel like for some reason most people here want Classic Space back. We just got that Benny's Space Squad set. If Classic Space were to come back, I will probably not care about it very much. But with Space Police, Mars Mission, etc it's a different business...
  18. LEGO had the Star Wars license way before Disney took over Lucas Film. So I don't get why would Disney just take away the license if they just took a break? Didn't this happen with Harry Potter? (Disney has no tie to Harry Potter but you get the point). And another thing I should point out is that LEGO shouldn't depend on other companies to be able to make their products. If tomorrow Disney says to LEGO "Hey, we won't give you the license anymore" that doesn't mean LEGO should die because of that. But rather they should respond "Ok, it's fine. We can make our own Space-Themed toys, we don't need your license to be a successful company'".
  19. Well it's the only one we have at this point in time.
  20. Classic space will probably not sell very well nowdays. BUT, Space doesn't have to be "Classic Space" to be great. As a fan who grew up with themes like Mars Mission and Space Police, it'd rather have those back than the Classic Space. Classic Space is still in some form or another a subtheme of City... Agreed. Maybe they should not retire the theme completley, but I think a short break wouldn't be bad at all. They should take a break for let's say, a year, bring back some original Space Stuff, than continue the theme as before. Really, a break wouldn't ruin the theme in any way.
  21. I 100% agree with you. Original Themes allow for things that you would most likely never see in a movie. Licensed Themes are not bad in essence, but the fact that LEGO has focused more on them than on original themes in the past few years is bad (at least in my opinion). Now, we are only left with Ninjago as the last Action/Adventrue theme. If they continue as they do now, Original Themes in the true sense of the word will probably not be even a thing in a few years. And everything we used to love about LEGO, the fact that they gave us things that we have never seen before and will never again (seriosly, has anyone seen something similar to Bionicle?), will be gone unless something happens. You could argue if you want, but that won't change my opinion.
  22. Actually Atlantis was lasted for 2010-2011.
  23. Have you not noticed yet that, at least for now, CCBS is dead? The Star Wars buildable figures were cancelled last year in 2018, and this year we don't have any more CCBS sets. This makes it the first year since 1999 with no constraction sets at all.
  24. Why would you buy a whole set you don't really care for just for parts when you could just use Bricklink?
  25. If I will just stop buying LEGO and just MOC anything I want, how would LEGO make profit? If everybody who is angry at LEGO for not making what they want and just MOC what they want, how would LEGO make money?
