We are all thankful for the 95 years you have spent on this humble Earth. You were at all times amazing, incredible, uncanny, invincible and fantastic. May you rest in peace, Stan. Excelsior.

This better be a good one. On a different note, an image of 2 Skulkin has surfaced. They are probably Nuckal and Kruncha.

I dunno. While it doesn't get listed in the annual report, that just means that some themes do better. LEGO currently has 20+ product lines running, and I've never seen Marvel sets clog up shelves. As for the marketing, the only reason DC has more video games is that LEGO picked up the licence 6 years earlier, and LEGO and WB legally cannot make LEGO Marvel movies. Also, I don't think DC is doing better than Marvel. DC isn't getting many new moulds/prints either, it's just that we don't seem to notice. They're in the same boat in terms of budget, and they likely have the same team.
-
I don't think that LMSH receives any less budget than other themes. It probably has a similar budget to City, Ninjago or Jurassic World. But while those themes could do without extra printing, dual moulding and constant new parts, Marvel characters (especially in the MCU) have very detailed designs, and need all the extra touches to look right. For example, with this years Iron Spider, the designers could not (for some reason) dual mould the legs, so they had to just print the blue part over red legs. With the other aforementioned themes, they would not have to make such compromises, because their figures have details that are broad enough to not require extra printing.

Another Skrull image has come up, this time with the back as well. The figure has grown on me a bit (lack of detail is the only serious problem), but the cutoff still bugs me. There is no printing on either side. There could be two distinct Skrull figs in the set, and their headpieces were switched by the leaker, but it's unlikely.

Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

This may be a good sign! I've seen the trailer, and most dinosaurs without existing figs just look wonky and simplistic... except for Bary, who has reused parts, a unique colour scheme, a head designed in the style of bona fide LEGO dinosaurs (while still true to the movie design) and even tiny wee gaps between the leg parts and the body! He also shares focus with Carno and Stiggy (both with existing figs)! -
YES. What if we got a set that was like a classic space outpost, with a few miscellaneous spaceships (SPACESHIP!!!), these classic space dudes flanking Benny, and a few Systar goons for good measure? That would be AWESOME!! Oh and a Metalbeard render has surfaced. He has a chest body and a crow's nest.

Chinese New Year’s sets -2019

It was. Where do you see a connection? -
It's not perpetually low. It's just that, in the last year, LEGO has had a small profit dive and corporate reshuffling, and for 2018/2019, 2 big mold-heavy licensed themes. Like RedHoodPug said... Someday, that storm will go away, hopefully sooner than later. The best we can do now is understand that the rain is here for a reason.

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
GrandDukeofKumquats replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
These leaks are pretty interesting. The microfighters are cute, and I'll probably pick up both. The "4+" A-wing actually looks quite accurate so far, and if the price is reasonable (like, NZ$40), it would make for a fair fleet-builder. Tie Fighter looks a bit off, but preliminaries never look as good as the final product, so I'm optimistic. I might actually pick that one up, as I do like the idea of mid-scale Tie's (getting accurately sized cannon fodder for NZ$100 is not quite as deserved). The X-Wing/turret set looks interesting, and if the price and figs are good, I really could see myself owning it. As for the Droid Gunner, AT-AP and Battlefront BP, I don't care that much, but the Praetorian Guard BP looks neat! -
My guess is that he/she is assuming that each set will only have villains from one faction, so the Storm Fighter set would have 4 serpentine (including Pythor). But I dunno where the other 2 came from .

I don't think they'll do that, and I sincerely hope they don't. There are a lot of amazing figures we could get in this series instead.- 961 replies

You sure? Looks like Garmadon to me, and the Overlord could be in the so-far unseen Ultra Dragon set.
-
I'm not too sure what to say here. The torso and face designs look decent, and plain legs and arms are nothing new, but that headpiece . It's bad enough that it's basically a reused design, but the lack of printing is just . We know they could do it; Black Panther's ears were a far more complex mold. But the print on the Skrull's head just cuts off. Just a little more detail, and it would've been fine.

I have pretty mixed feelings with this wave. The Golden Dragon looks paltry, but at least it'll be cheap. Samurai mech is fine, but a far cry from the old one. The Storm fighter is reasonable (aside from the bulky nose), The Blade Cycle/Snowmobile look cool enough, but not a must-buy, and the Earth Driller looks too similar too the original, but the Giant Stone Warrior looks interesting. However, the Monastery looks sweet! If I had enough space/budget for it, I'd get it. Also, the Spinjitzu packs look like actual tornadoes this time around, and I will be getting those. But I do wonder what happened to that new Ultra Dragon... I may change my judgements once I see the final images and minifigure distribution, cuz preliminaries aren't all that great for judging.

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
GrandDukeofKumquats replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Regular (for me) would be a Falcon with the classic colour scheme, a big prong gap and a NZ$300 price-tag. I don't care too much if it's OT or ST, they are similar enough. Most of those aren't "regular" Falcons. There was the UCS Falcon, which, while close to what I prefer, is waaay out of my budget. Then there was the microfighter Falcon, which was tiny, and the Solo Falcon, which is a tiny bit too clean to feel like the same ship. So 2015 was the last time we saw a traditionalist Falcon, and in terms of true OT Falcon, we've had none since 2012. -

Any chance we'll get a new Millennium Falcon next year? It's almost been 4 years since the last "regular" one, and with the 20th anniversary and Ep IX, it would be timely.
