  1. I doubt that. If they didn't bother giving it to a major villain like a Sinestro, I don't know why they'd give it to a lower level hero like Beast Boy. In a more realistic view, if we do get a Beast Boy, I think it'd be a very safe bet that he would end up having the same hair as Sinestro does now--in green of course. Lego already produces said hair in green for the Joker, so it's likely they would just use that--with the superhero theme it seems that the easiest method is more often then not used, regardless if it sacrifices accuracy unfortunately.
  2. Thanks! The piece is a flat technic circular plate, whatever it's called. It's a technique I shamelessly borrowed from Lego's official D2C Arkham.
  3. Those all look nice, if too amazing to be actual figures. No doubt that is the Brainiac we will be getting--I think he's ok, but again would look more complete with leg printing. I think at the least he could be improved with a light bley hip piece, which would "blend" the same colored armor printed on his torso to the rest of him. And we see the Sinestro we will get...granted with the correct color hands! Come on Lego! Well, at least I just bought a CMF female Robot for her pink hands to use on Sinestro when I get him. But seriously, I just don't understand some of the crazy figure part choices in this line. Even though I hate the sexualized color-swapped 52 Harley Quinn character, I have to admit her figure looks great! Even though she has new molds and crazy prints, I could see her being an actual figure at some point, what with how much DC promotes her now. Of all of them though, I love Catwoman the most! Her cowl is simply amazing!
  4. Although it wasn't a deal, I did find something extra today after I opened my new Lego Movie Super Secret Police Dropship set. When I dumbed out all the bags, there was an extra robo-swat head just rolling around in the box! It wasn't from any of the bags, as none of them were ripped, rather it was truly just an extra price loose in the box. On the downside however one of my other Swat robots mysteriously disappeared today when I was trying to gather my larger robo forces today. The brick gods work in mysterious ways...
  5. Hah! I was just doing the same thing! Although I was more upset about missing out on the Dino hunter figures than the large Dinos themselves--I always like the Adventurers Dinos more. I'd be happy if it turns out Lego has the license; from all the art designs and concepts, it seems like it'll be a great movie, and one that would translate well into brick form (unlike the underwhelming J-3 wave they did years back). I just hope we'd get those iconic Jurassic Park doors!
  6. In an attempt to procrastinate my brick sorting further, I've created a collection of "Gotham Gals"; with a few of them, like Zatanna and Vixen, proving to be rather nice purist figures.
  7. I don't know...it seems possible, but while the Batmobile seems official because of the flick missiles, it also seems unofficial since it uses some illegal techniques. Either way, I'd love for it to be an official set, especially if it means we'd get a collection of 60's villains too.
  8. Those 60's figs are amazing! I wish there was an official set with all of them--I would buy it and I'm sure a ton of people would too. And Killer Moth returning is great! He's one of my favorite characters! I do have to say though that I'm disappointed the video game Sinestro/GL get side printing, while we are stuck with none; figures. I watched a video about the voice acting for the game on Facebook, and I was super excited to see that Clancy Brown is back to voice Lex again. He's definitely the voice of Lex Luthor, so it's great to hear he will be voicing the character again.
  9. I wish she had more color other then just brown. It reads as very flat and generic this way. I don't understand the reasoning behind all these muted tones--Batman is really the only hero that needs a "dark" movie. This movie should be brightened up; it's too dark and brooding for Superman and Wonder Woman.
  10. Maybe we could see those in the Five Armies set. It would give a substantial build to a heavy figure focused concept.
  11. I'm sure the most reasonable reason for the trapped Lantern Battery and a Lantern ship is simply that Lego needed something in "danger" and some kind of vehicle to be present. Like the Riddler's dragster, if you start poking at it, the whole thing falls apart (in that case literally)--it's best to just enjoy the set than to try and make sense out of it.
  12. I know from experience that his shipping takes a long time. He is based out of South Africa, so shipping to the US (at least where I am) takes anywhere from 2-3 weeks. Despite his high quality figures, he doesn't have the fastest shipping unfortunately.
  13. Even though I love the set, I have to say it's disappointing that there's not a huge chunk that was "missing" from the previous pictures. Although I have to say it looks a lot better on a large picture of gold! In a report I read, from the Hollywood Reporter, it described a furnace with a light brick--I'm not sure what part of this set they were looking at--and I hoped it was the "missing" section. At least we can see the secret door now, and Smaug still looks great, I just want to see his wings folded now!
  14. I don't think it's for that purpose. I think more likely it will be printed to look like the space wings but in a folded down position--so you can swap out the wings for normal or flight mode.
  15. Oh those wings totally fold! Even better! I cannot wait to get Smaug. Although even in HD the rest of the set is disappointing. Still--coolest Lego dragon ever!
  16. I was waiting for this set after the lack luster previous ones, and up it looks ok. Smaug looks great in my opinion, although the rest of the set seems lacking considering the price tag, even with the dragon costs. Something does seem off about Smaug though, his wings seem weird--the center fleshy parts specifically. They seem bend in weird ways. I know this is out there, but maybe they're bendable? So Smaug could go to his crawling/crouch mode. That would be epic. Crazy yes?
  17. They are the same character, Hal Jordon as Green Lantern, But the SDCC one was designed after the Green Lantern movie--this new one is more inspired by the comics. Dido. I never liked the SDCC version. His torso was crazy over-detailed which looked terrible with plain legs.
  18. No. They are both very different in terms of design.
  19. I always thought that a good plot device would be Scarecrow pumping the Watchtower full of fear toxin. In space you need air, so you'd be forced to breath it...and in space no one hears you scream! But the main point is, if Lego wants to release more of the same characters, they will find a way!
  20. I gotta be honest, I'm underwhelmed. After waiting so long for Green Lantern, my excitement has apparently ran out. Space Batman looks great; hopefully his wings are printed, but either way he's perfect. I don't understand that clear stand though; I'm sure that'll be explained at some point. Green Lantern looks great. His ship is fine. The Yellow construct building is good too. But Sinestro is just disappointing to me. I think that's because I loved his Game design so much, and this is just so boring by comparison. I don't like how he has yellow hands rather than pink, and I really don't like the common hair use--the Superhero theme almost seems like it's required to use 1 of 4 hair types. I really feel Lego should have used the wolf-elf-ear-hair, which would have been perfect. His torso to me is overly detailed, and his face print seems too thin and small. But I think the worst part is the harsh difference between the front legs being printed and the sides not being printed. It's very, very contrasting, and I wish after waiting all this time Lego would have went all out on the printing of GL and Sinestro; ala Wonder Woman. It's just meh. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'm just not wowed by this set.
  21. Darn, that's a nice figure, if anything for just his face prints--it has so many uses! I hope this next wave of Batman sets has basically a new expression for each Bat figure. It's getting very redundant to only have neutral and kinda happy expressions with the faces we have now. I want some feral Batman expressions! Get mean!
  22. Yeah I could see them doing that. Everything else has been Batman thus far, I don't see why not. I cannot see them releasing 60's themed villains however without having a genuine West figure. I'm actually surprised to see Robin in the set though.
  23. Thank goodness it has no exclusive figures. Unfortunately it's the cutest thing ever and I still want one. Though I think it's more likely that the exclusive giveaway fig is Adam West Batman now.
  24. Yeah that would be amazing if we got all of those figures, but I just cannot see it happening anytime soon. Still though, from those great images we can see what a perfect DC line could offer.
  25. The figures will easily go for a lot on the aftermarket. Anyone selling them is going to want to recoup their losses, and both the figures are going to have high demand. No doubt they'd go for at least a quarter or half of the cost of the set, each, and most likely way more than that.
