DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions
Captain Nemo replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
That's what I used for my custom Captain Cold; but I don't think they will work here since they use different shades of blue. Captain Cold is normal blue, and the legs use some strange shade. Point being, even though it'll give him boots, it will look strange because of the coloring on the legs. -

No, they are just two seperate thin plastic wings. The sets will include a "closed" and "flight mode" for each character who needs them. -

Finally some pictures! And still, they look great as they did in the prelim photos. So far the Gorilla Grodd set is easily my favorite. All the figures are perfect (Granted there's a lack of boots! I'll stop saying this when Lego starts doing this!), and I'm so happy we have a classic look for Captain Cold (And I guess Grodd too, granted he never changes much). Wonder Woman's jet looks better here than it did before, however I'm still not much of a fan of the shape. Bat-Mech is Bat-Mech. I didn't expect however to love the Banana Driver and car so much! It's crazy, but it's also epic! The Black Manta set looks spectacular as well, and I love the inclusion of a unique henchman shark for Manta (Now I have to collect those too apparently! Gotta keep my henchman army populated!). Other than that, the set still seems a bit of a rehash, but I'm fine with that since I'm getting closer to completing my perfect Legion of Doom! I was perhaps most excited for the Darkseid set, but it may have slipped a bit. I love the inclusion of Green Arrow, and his look is great even if I'd prefer the Animated look. That being said I'm very upset that he doesn't include...a green quiver. We have Green Bow with no arrows. The Javelin’s color scheme is throwing me a bit, mostly the trans colored bricks; I don’t feel trans blue and red go together with white; so I’ll be swapping out one of those. Anyways, Hawkman looks fantastic, and I cannot wait to see his new wing piece. Cyborg is equally good, even though I feel he's a bit too dark looking; but that's New 52 for yah. Speaking of which, Darkseid...I feel he got one of the worst redesigns in the New 52...all I see on him is a red "U" on his crotch; and that's basically what we got here. On the plus side I love his flying platform; it seems to fit with the character well. And I'm surprised we get the classic version of Superman--presumably the 52 version will be in the Brainiac set. Regardless of my comments, it is clear to me now that I'll be buying all of these sets on first sight! -

It's great to see characters like Deadshot and Deathstroke will be playable--previously they were only on the hand held versions for some reason. I hope this means we'll also see Scarface who was in the same boat as them. Although I have to say I miss the bucket head look of Deadshot! The helmet would be large, but it looks more Lego like. -

I don't think so; it's more like a pre-order bonus (which you may be able to buy later). All the DLC packs should include missions and stuff, rather than just characters. I don't think we'll see the other three DLCs until after the games release. -
LEGO LotR - general discussion
Captain Nemo replied to General Magma's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I feel like these are the last Middle Earth sets we'll be getting. From what I've seen around my areas, they don't sell too well and they're actually hard to find--like not on the shelves to begin with rather than being sold out. Just a few days ago I picked up An Unexpected Gathering set from a Walmart clearance shelf for $54, but there was also some of the newer ones just lying there like the Pirate Ship (At $74). And there was a few Elf army sets on those same shelves; although they were not marked down for some reason... ...still they were not in the normal Lego shelves. Aside from a few breakouts, like Unexpected Gathering, I don't feel like the line as a whole is doing too well (And I don't blame it too much, because we all know how lackluster the second wave was) Although it's also possible we have a Flying Dutchman senerio too. We all want some sets of specific things, we expect them because they're important and memorable...but they just don't show up for some reason. Which sucks. -
Lovely creation! You've clearly mastered sand-shaded structures. Even though I love the bright highlight colors of the buildings, I think the my favorite part are the hanging pink flowers! They just look beautiful against a desert backdrop. Great job!

Yeah that price for the Grodd set seems a bit high. I think I would have been better to leave out the generic banana bus driver to lower the costs, but oh well. I do have to say though that I think it's strange we don't get a low end priced set this wave. I think a small set with Cheetah or someone would really have rounded out this wave. I don't think there's any reason to expect boot prints on this Flash. I'm betting he'll be the exact same figure as the last one. Lego missed their chance to give him boots the first time, and now I think it's unlikely we'll see him with boots for a long time. He doesn't even have boot printing in the game. I think the first two bullet points are the only reason why we have Flash so soon again, and so identical to the last one we got. -
Lookin good! The orange color theme is a new fresh look for fall!

I have to say after seeing the premeire of Fox's Gotham, I'm very exicted for the future of the show--especally considering I was very iffy on the concept. It was very engaging and it seemed far better produced than that teen drama that is Arrow.

After being reported by FBTB, I'm happy to report here that Gamestop has finally listed the Plastic Man promo on their site as a bonus for pre-order! Bout time. -
I thought that video quality was on my end...until they pointed out that it was fuzzy anyways. Picture Reviews: 1 (By default) Video Reviews: 0 Anyways, it is great to watch (On mute) to see how massive Smaug really is. His size seems very deceptive in all the offical pictures, and I'm just so happy he's actually that large. I only have one old classic Dragon, so all my castle figures are going to freak out when Smaug arrives! Even though it's an expensive set, I think it's well worth it alone for Smaug; and I'm not even a big Middle Earth fan (Well I was, but that lackluster second wave really killed my spirit).

Is the old/current Wonder Woman made of Chinese plastic? I'm not sure (I need to buy more Lex Mech sets, which I think is still being sold after all this time). She does have like the most extreme leg printing ever. -

Captain Nemo replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
I could see them making a caped Gorilla Grodd bigfig. I wouldn't be hard whatsoever to design a big-figure to be able to attach a giant purple cape to. Granted I'd love that, but it'll most likely just be a plain gorilla. His game design is very basic anyways and the only thing that seperates him from a regular gorilla is the red wire dots on his head (Granted I think I'd actually like those not to be present; a dot-less Grodd is more akin to his JL-Unlimited apperance). Point being, Lego is going to have to make a new bigfig torso/leg set anyways (Since they could just use the common bigfig arms); so they could easily make a cape hook-up too. Either way, making new bigfig molds must not be that expensive; heck there's tons of bigfigs that are used only once anyways; it's not too often that we have ones like Hulk who make return apperances. -

Only in the figure designs. The sets are basically locked in at this point I think. -

Yeah, which is a bit sad! Still it's a very good price for the set. I knew it was not $20, but it really seems like it could be--so obviously one of those figures must be worth $10. Supes must be putting on some extra pounds for his bout with Batman! -

Yay! Pictures! These all look good, and I for sure will be getting all of them. They all have amazing figure selections. I think the Darkseid set looks spectacular--the jet looks great, and hopefully it fits a few figures like the X-Jet does. The figure selection looks amazing in that set too; all of them are new characters except Superman; hopefully they look spectacular when we actually see them. Green Arrow is a plus too, but I hope they include something like a hood or a hat rather than the black hair he has now. I think the Black Manta set looks ok. The builds seem a bit boring, at least the bat-sub does. Hopefully Black Manta himself looks good when we see him, since I'm now a bit worried about that tube that's coming from his back (I think it extends a bit too much). I think the Grodd set is the most disappointing one for me however. I was thinking that the Invisible Jet would be the main build, but apparently most of the bricks went to that bat-mech (Which personally is like a throw-a-way for me). However, it is nice that the Jet is almost all trans-clear; even if the wings look like a "W". I'm happy to see that Captain Cold has both a parka and freeze-gun, which suggests a classic figure design. The most interesting thing however is the orange civilian figure--I hope he turns out to be some character like Jimmy Olsen or something--anything other than a "civilian". I think the best set might be the Brainiac one though. It screams $20 set (Even if it isn't), as it has the same quality, build, and spectacular figures that we find across the board for $20 superhero sets. All in all, I'm very excited for this wave thus far. -

Chances are high I'd say. At the least I think we'd get some appropriately themed character costumes. The tank itself might be a stretch, but who knows. TDKR might make a good DLC mission. Exactly. Until I actually see GameStop offer it on their site, I won't preorder. Of any business to buy the game from, Gamestop is already sketchy enough. It seems a bit strange that GameStop seems to be offering the DCL pack for preorder online, but still no sign of the figure online though. -

That looks nice and will be a good updated cowl; finally. Although it sucks that the lack of the sweatband means we cannot have unique eyes (Granted Lego basically didn't do that anyways). -
Jurassic World 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Captain Nemo replied to adotnamedstud's topic in LEGO Licensed
That might be asking for a bit too much! But it would be nice to get a pack of them. Most of all, I hope we get a new more accurate size wise raptor mold--the Dino one looks cool but it's larger than most Lego cars! I think the best sized raptor might be one more akin to a horse or warg; it would look a lot nicer and we'd most likely get more of them at that size.- 1,412 replies

From what I've read, it's going to be seperate. DC's building a great multi-universe aren't they... Supergirl won't be on the CW, since they passed on it apparently, and so it won't be part of the same universe as Arrow/Flash. And it's also not a part of the new Gotham series, which itself is not apart of anything either. Also Constantine is on it's own (Although honestly I think it should be; it's type and style is just too out there to fit with costumed heroes). To be honest, I don't understand the idea behind a Supergirl show. I feel like it would just be a gender-swapped Smallville. And if Superman is not going to show up...then we loose the whole family dynamic that's important to her character. I don't understand DC's strategy with their shows; if they're not going to be connected to the films, why do they need to be connected to each other. Arrow is a grounded show (Trying to be realistic, but that's another thing I could talk about forever) and connecting it to a more meta-human Flash show is just strange; especially after being grounded to start with. I don't know, I just miss the good old days of DC TV...when everything was animated. Can't we just get Bruce Timm and Paul Dini to make all the live action stuff? Heck, just take one of the Justice Leauge episodes and make it live a action movie--it would be amazing!

Meh. He seems far more boring than the classic one from last game. I've got to say, I'm not a fan of some of these character designs.
