I really doubt that, internet discourse is not reality. LEGO is a company if there's measurable interest in a specific subtheme of Star Wars they'll make it, they do not care if it leads to a grown adult screaming about it. The closest comparison to the current situation with sequel sets is how prequel era sets were treated, but despite the much worse response to those films there's never been a year since those films came out without a prequel set on shelves, even during the era where they were struggling to keep up with the sets for all 28 movies they released in the span of 4 years. The simple issue I think they're is with sequel content is it's just based on diminishing returns. A prequel set is very distinct from it's OT equivalent if it even has one. If LEGO wants to make a TIE, X-wing, Star Destroyer, etc why go with the version that exists solely to call back to how much people loved to OT versions when you can just cut out the middle man and do the universally loved version. Also why I doubt we'll get the clone wars Y-wing again, the only way they'll do these derivative models instead of the old favourites is if there's relevant tie in media to support it. I don't think we're ever gonna get a minifig scale (or larger) X-wing without Luke unless media supports it or if in coming years there's a massive resurgence in interest in Poe Dameron because as it is any general consumer looking for an X-wing probably wants Luke to pilot it.

I assume the rational is that they were set on making them distinct so they chose phase 1 Cody because it shares the visor of phase 2 Rex so they go better together than phase 1 Rex and Phase 2 COdy would

TBF both Spider-man and Spider-man are in the title of the new Spider-man film, so they could probably get by even if Civil war was counted as a team up

Yeah, TBF just give any previous LEGO Sandman a flat top and it's pretty perfect

Could they? I feel he'd require a new piece for his helmet, then again I could entirely see them shunting off any DC characters based on the not so kid friendly properties as convention exclusives

I know the LEGO Star Wars designers have mentioned never looking at aftermarket prices to determine which Minifigures come in sets, has the DC team ever said anything similar? Seeing how high TLBM Polka Dot man figures are getting it could really improve our next Batmech, BatGo-kart or whatever we get next

Well with the exception of Nien nunb, the sepratist council and Boss Nass all of these characters/varients are pretty recent so the demand hasn't had nearly enough time to fester as it's entirely plausible we'll get them in the next 5 years and as for the others they have the fundamental disadvantage of not having an action scene which while it doesn't make their inclusion impossible it does make people less likely to expect them

You're not wrong but I think the demand boils down to a few simple reasons .Yes we have a clone wars cody that's just his phase 1 amour which was only used in series 1- 3 his RotS armour was used in the rest of the show .whilst he's not in RotS much he does initiate the Order 66 sequence which is one of the trilogies most iconic scenes increasingly his desirability .Obi-wan is likely the most popular character from the trilogy so being his Commander helps Cody's case .Whilst it's not anything too indepth Cody is the only Live action clone and first clone in general to be given any form of characterization making him special to most fans of the clones .also yeah, his armour's cool

The Clone is weird, it keeps half of the 2020 design changes and half of the 2014 styled ones

That Second build in the mining mech is so terrible it circles back round to good for me, like I really don't like the base set but that weird, gangly legged beast is making me genuinely consider getting this set

I don't know why they'd be so mad, they clearly got the better colour scheme

'The use of mixel joints for the control sticks is pretty snazzy, glad to see they're giving a friend to the figure included in rover. Maybe with enough time it'll develop into it's own space faction

Hearing that we're getting essentially an entire year of Legacy in 2021 makes me kinda upset they wasted three slots this wave on Legacy sets given how many key characters, set pieces and creatures we're missing from S13

I wish they'd go back to 1 subtheme per year, two waves gives more time to flesh each one out and would probably help break up Ninjago fatigue if we weren't getting dual bike set, mech, jet, dragon, villain temple every six months

FINALLY! While I'm sure they'll still use angry clone on stormies I'm glad I'll finally have a accurate head for my cody fig

Anyone else bothered by the clones being the only animated style figures, it's weird to see them put in the same sets as Obi-wan or Ahsoka who just use the generic Minifig artstyle

I really like the new Grievous Starfighter, shame it's so overpriced

I'd assume it's cause the characters we didn't get, they've used so few new molds this year but are still unwilling to give us Cody because of his helmet
