  1. That's a good point, though the thing that makes me wonder is Daredevil, the show was popular but not the only thing he was known for. I feel most parents wouldn't know the name or would think of him as just 'the blind superhero' as he was one of the few Marvel characters outside the usual Spider-man, X-men, Fantastic Four that regular people knew of before the MCU. It's definitely not on the level of Deadpool where everyone is aware from the name that it's the R rated superhero
  2. This Joker talk has got me thinking, do we think there are any DC characters who LEGO would no longer be willing to put in regular sets? Because with Marvel Deadpool and Daredevil are now limited to exclusive figures or 18+ sets even for comic based versions of them, do you think characters like Polka dot man or Darkseid would now be similarly limited if LEGO wanted to include them due to how they're mainly tied to an R rated film? I wish they'd at least do a set with Robin, with both the animated series and the '66 show the image of Batman and Robin hopping in the car together and driving off is the image that stays in my mind of their Batmobiles. It feels odd to not include him.
  3. I know Marvel sets used to be loosely based on the cartoons for a while back there but I really feel like this wouldn't help. How popular has Teen Titans Go been for over a decade and they've not done any unofficial tie ins. I don't think that even if they had another popular cartoon LEGO would keep just doing nostalgic Batman sets
  4. I like the Clock King reference, that's my favourite episode of the series
  5. TBF neither of those are even remotely as vile or poisonous to marketability as being a p*do. Granted I doubt that's the actual reason that Mad Hatter is never included as he's in all the games, though he wasn't even in TLBM so there is almost certainty something more to his exclusion than just not thinking he'd sell
  6. This got me thinking, how many of the staple molds for DC characters do we think are discontinued? There's a real chance we're never seeing that OG flash cowl again
  7. Has any superhero cartoon bar Ultimate Spider-man and that recent Spider-man Disney Junior show, gotten LEGO sets? I don't even think Caped Crusader would make LEGO do an actual wave of Batman sets
  8. You can't be manning a space base white baby
  9. LEGO doesn't target us generally with most their products, I get that, however the various types of buildable figures are the one aspect of their line-up that I genuinely think has no substantial audience. They always languish on shelves, it really confuses me. You can still find those Star Wars ones in toy stores, how many times are they gonna try this before it clicks?
  10. You know they wouldn't do that, three jokester and a batman. No cold joe :(
  11. We are so, so close to getting some sort of large scale set where the figures are just Batman and three Jokrs
  12. Makes me feel worse, it's way less funny now
  13. Hope the Phantasm is in one of the sets, they're the sorta figure that would of been a pipe dream back when the theme wasn't hospitalised, seeing them released now would be really funny
  14. I feel like even in a minifig them good portion of the characters would be brick built. Honestly I don't mind the way the theme does it's characters bar the humans., they feel out of scale with everything else and the digital element makes them pretty undisplayable
  15. I wonder if the rumoured black spaceship set is in fact a Space Police one if the alternate heads included are a bunch of different alien ones to try avoid the jokes/backlash about Space Police 3 portraying a xenophobic future
  16. It would be in boxes this time as well
  17. The thing is Space Police and Blacktron 1 already lend themselves to this better because they already have more detail than Blacktron 2 or M-tron. I just feel like a couple contour lines don't really help the design, like imagine the Black Falcon from series 22 having just the original torso with some added grey lines, it'd kinda feel unfinished. The torso is minimalist in a way the rest of the figure doesn't really match up with. I think even something as simple as a solid colour visor would go a long way
  18. I think? Even if the logo is slightly different that's not the point, the torso is just a solid colour with a logo and maybe some crease lines, it's super simplistic but the rest of the figure doesn't match, it's not a close enough match of the original to be a straight remake like the modern Classic Space ones but not changed enough to stand on it's own as a fig like the Series 1 Spaceman does. Puts it in a weird middle ground that feels doubly underwhelming to me
  19. I feel like more than anything The Blacktron and M-tron ones are really underwhelming, the prints on both feel like a weird push and pull between remaining accurate to the original and modernising it in a way I don't thing it can pull off. The simplistic torsos with the solid colour and a massive logo in the center with no other details work great on the original figures with their simplistic 90s stylings but when that's mixed with say the very angular and detailed helmet on the M-tron guy it creates a clash that makes me wish they wish they altered the design more akin to the Blacktron bounty hunter from series 19.
  20. Maybe the space nurse is a new colour?
  21. Kids when they see stars in the sky for the first time
  22. Oh right, of course. It is very charming, fun to see them reference some old LEGO media
