I've never actually paid much mind to insiders rewards, how many points do sets like this usually cost?

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Good point, we should keep our expectations low then -
I still wonder if Aquaman hadn't made a billion would they have rebooted shortly after Every time a star wars fan tries convince me someone isn't a glup shitto I become increasingly convinced they are Honestly between the DCEU and the new Star Wars films the late 2010s were an insane time for toys that never leave shelves. Yeah, it's a shame they're likely gonna just give Kyle's story to John. I don't really mind this universe skimming over Hal or Barry as they're both characters who've spent the past decade or so cannibalising their successors popularity (and in Barry's case he also took Wally's personality, powers and some stories in various adaptations) after reaching conclusions years prior. Moving on from those two I'm fine with though if John is the GL we're going to get I'd rather, if they're gonna give him a story that's not adapting any of his comics, make him a story specific to him not Kyle's hand me downs. Of course the ideal situation would be Kyle being the lead but that ain't happening.

They should do a CMF just of all the dlc characters from the Lego hobbit game. Vacation Saruman, baby Gimli, bouncer troll, it would fly off the shelves -

Right, shame Only if Gollum has the fuckass hair from the game + is completely glued together in the box (you must pay extra to get 6 iconic posed figures inspired by the character Gollum) I'm really glad Alfred wasn't in the Battle of five armies wave because if we lived in a world where he, like most of the one off figures from the original run of this theme, was ~20 quid at the lowest I think I might have ended it all -

How reliable is the leaker saying that there's gonna be smaller sets next year with the DTC? Also am I going to hell for kinda hoping they're all based on the Hobbit movies (Exclusively the Legolas, Alfred and Dol gul dor scenes) with one from Gollum game just to megabluck with people -
We do not, wish you all honoured a more worthless character. if you all were obsessed with Constable Zuvio I could afford to just buy a bunch of his shitty figures and melt them down into a dummy sculpture. It's fair to feel that way, no objective opinion exists in the world but regardless what any of us DC fans think the Snyderverse was not popular with general audiences, especially kids. It's why collector oriented lines can do merch based on it but LEGO won't. Hell, McFarlane is doing a Batman and Robin figure line it's clear certain products are mainly bought by dedicated fans so can afford to use less popular versions of the characters while LEGO refuses to do anything but comic Batman and joker, the current Batman films, the two most popular Batman film series and the two most popular Batman shows. Until LEGO is at least confident enough to do Robin and Poison Ivy again they are not going to touch the film series that led to the DC line warming shelves.

Would be pretty great if they did a set called something like "Batman and the batmobile in pursuit of the Joker and Two-face" and the set just didn't include Twoface Yeah, they did pretty good by modern Superhero movie standards but given they all came out in the post Avengers peak of the genre they didn't meet studio expectations. Given that all of Snyder's projects since haven't been smashes I doubt WB is looking to him again, if Gunn's universe fails they'll probably go the LEGO route and assume the issue is non-batman characters and throw their weight behind expanding Pattinson's universe. There's no way they let universal do the Snyderverse, the reason they didn't let any other studio have Coyote V Acme was because if they outsource a big theatrical film to another studio and it does well it reflects poorly on WB for letting the project go. How much does jade cost? Might be my next project

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Renny The Spaceman replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Yeah, I fear they may have cheaped out there By shape they don't look like them, there seems to be no divot in the top and they seem more rounded, though as said above the orange motorbike helmets haven't been in production for almost 15 years! -
Nah, I'll just thug it out, I'm wanted dead by a lot of people I simply ask the assorted Mafia, Yakuza and Doctor Who fans that murder is quite rude and they back off First ever Lego sets to sell that much. The reason series one of the CMFs had such a limited run and quantity relative to others was LEGO was aware if there was enough supply to meet demand the global economy would crash as the only thing anyone spent money on worldwide would have been the packets in a frenzy to get a chance at having another Dummy Yeah, but all the figures are Ezra miller flash

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Renny The Spaceman replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Oh? I'm pretty interested in that, is there any hint to when this would go up? Having looked at the images though anyone else worried that the orange ones just have monochrome torsos? -
Right, does anyone think a character not created by LEGO themselves would be powerful enough to take the city? That's an insanely foolish thing to think, no crime lord can deal with Luigi, no licensed character dares to even walk into his terrain, Luigi shall take the City sooner or later without a proper defence. Many may challenge him, the likes of Sam Sinister, Blacktron, Lord Vampyre may attempt to claim the City but I think none shall be able to take it. Apart from maybe Ogel, but tbf he apparently did 9/11 canonically so he might be more vicious than other LEGO villains Beautiful render here, it says a lot about society You can't wield the weapons of Corn-cob, none of us can. They serve only one master and he always delivers to you what you have ordered, or you get your money back...

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

What if they finally make an affordable wave and a few years and it's exclusively based on the gollum movie -
Dear god, we should have seen it before, it all makes sense now All good, Wallace and Gromit is a fun addition. Should we just pack the lore with increasingly niche British characters? Like Pudsey, Morph, Worsel Gummage, Wenlock, Wagbo, Nick Clegg Needs to be humourless, perhaps in this world you've not interest in Green Lantern, probably intensely religiously skeptical and unable to be possessed

I don't think we're really followers of Absolute Batman or Turtle, they're running gags but we don't pray to them or anything. Maybe I misread but I thought the Absolute Batman bit is more us treating him like an endearingly stupid meathead. He's kinda like an honorary member o the forum in how insane he is, I feel he's more one of us than one of our gods Yeah, we shouldn't honour him, he's a fallen member of a pantheon who permanently changed our world and was justly smited. We don't honour him but understand how he shaped our history in a great way
-
It's not about joking about a non DC character, we all do that here, it's about making it obsessing over her part of a criteria for one of our dumb gags. But I've tried not bringing up the Dummy in the room in my initial post because I don't think there's really a way to do so without coming off as conceited but there is a distinct difference between the two, not saying mine is in anyway funnier as humour is subjective and I don't find anything I say myself funny but I didn't start randomly attaching the Dummy to random bits and saying someone needed to like him to be part of certain jokes on the forum like a week after the bit started, he came up naturally in the LEGO City bit and I used my expansive knowledge of his lore to bolster other bits we did. Hell, I even called people blasphemous for saying anything negative about him then. Like this isn't me saying my bit is better because that's a childish way to think, they are both just dumb jokes but it's pretty clear these two bits were different in terms of how they started and how the forum integrated one more naturally as evidenced by how the only three people doing the Mara Jade bit are the people who cared about the character beforehand whilst the I am possibly the only person on the entirety of Eurobricks who feels in anyway strongly about the Dummy as a character and his lore importance became a joke other people were contributing to. Once again, nothing against your joke, I'm not the fun police, make it all you want just maybe wait until it's caught on a bit before trying to make it policy here. Or at least do a few more variations on it IDK Also Dummy is in LEGO Batman 3, he is a character that transcends all brands and touches every franchise on earth if you know where to look He could be the Eurobricks version of my dad then
-
Yeah, that's pretty well said, my Dummy love is very supernatural in it's nature (the Dummy army has grown since I took the photo of the shrine, I now own 5 sealed Dummies plus have collected many more loose ones since, I've made it a rule now whenever I make a bricklink order if the seller has a Dummy I need to add it to my cart and I have now written a script to a YouTube video breaking down all official dummy lore) so I understand if it's hard to replicate. In which case if Swordy starts making bigoted comments we'll know he's been taken over Love the idea of "organising" our madness, I just picture the trial episode of BtAS

Okay, I've read all that and I hear it but star wars lore isn't funny and doesn't really play into any of our bits. You know there's an art to our inmate posting and I don't wanna yuck anyone's yum here, if you guys like star wars you should feel free to do so. Maybe this is hilarious to everyone else but surely if we're gonna initiate mara jade into our rituals you can find some funny aspects of her or make up a weird circumstances to integrate her into prestigious line up of great heroes who we have a quasi-religious appreciation for. Now maybe talking about our jokes this plainly kinda kills them, idk but as it is now I'll be honest it kinda just reads like normal fandom talk. Of course you don't have to do any of that, it's a free country and this is just my two cents but it kinda just doesn't work as star wars is one of the biggest most populist franchises in the world and you've went for one of the three characters from the old continuity that anyone actively in the star wars fandom know so it's not really weird enough to be funny Idk, that was probably too much to say on some other people's joke but I guess I'm weirded out as it's the first asylum joke that I have no actual feelings about, just a firm apathy. You can keep doing it if you want but I don't think it's the same as any of our other weird off topic bits Exactly, all good shouts. Swordy is dodging all our criteria though, so maybe he's actually no-one

I agree with this in almost every circumstance but the last bit is not for Batman surely? All good ideas, I'll cycle through them I guess it depends on your definition of the term, varies from person to person. (mainly because when it was first made the rounds it was making fun of star wars fans and now star wars fans have also adopted it) I will say you and Mr Commando are very brave putting so much value in an expanded media star wars character, if I were you at all times I'd be terrified of them being put into some streaming show then being ruined forever. I've seemingly subconsciously played a wise game with the main characters I hyper-fixate on as they're all ones who if they ever appear in anything have roles so minor they can't be ruined or are so simple it's impossible to get them wrong without actively trying to do so. If Mara Jade is in something she'll be some generic inquisitor who goes after Luke then is killed by the knights of ren or some shit Good points all around, maybe he could boost his rookie numbers by getting the kid he did kidnap to paint his whole house, himself and everything he owns yellow
