That can't be our litmus test for this stuff, star wars glup shitto appreciation? Surely it's gotta be something more insane, like if he ever kidnapped a child, crushed a man to death with a giant penny, lied about making out with his cousin or some other batman thing One day I will find whoever the rogue executive who thinks the screaming goat was the funniest thing ever and keeps putting variations of it in movies and I will stop them

I think he very well may play the slide whistle, it seems his type of instrument due to the simple charm of it, but the Dummy has never been one for deception. Even when doing something unpopular like taking apart Lego city he wears his intentions on his nonexistent sleeve. So I do not believe is trying to hide his slide whistle habits but this doesn't mean he doesn't play the instrument, the fact he brings it up says to me it's something on his mind. As someone on the spectrum it sounds to me like the sorta literalism a lot of autistic people sometimes do when they have gotten into trouble with something before. My theory is the Demolition Dummy plays the slide whistle, at somepoint in his previous home got in trouble for disturbing people with it and thus knows that it's common courtesy to not practice instruments when other people can hear it so from here the Dummy has either rented out a studio where he goes to play or has made the choice to soundproof any room he lives in as to not bother others but now feels the need to announce that if someone else does it he shouldn't be blamed. I'm here all week, I can answer any follow up questions or unrelated Dummy queries . Exactly, for all the jokes about turtle he's really the person who has allowed the asylum to become what it is by having a good sense of humour. And in the spirit of that I'm going to potentially go too far here. Redhoodpug is a beloved member of the forum and famously, while he has come around to our sense of humour, is annoyed by the reuse of phrases like jonkler. That's fair, it's repetitive humour and not for everyone, but what if it's more than that, what if there's something deeply, spiritually wrong about the phrase Jonkler that only a canine's heightened senses can pick up. Consider, the Riddler is the Fiddler, Bane is Bone and Nightwing is Dick. There is a theme here So, bear with me, what if the Joker's true name is something else, what if his true name is... The Jerker. Of course that then means the true name of Tom King's 6/10 classic is: The war of Jerks and Fiddles

Side builds would include a pizza delivery truck for Luigi, Bruce Lee gets the alien Mothership three of him came from, a gravestone with a turtle statue on top. Corn-cob gets a remote control build and a little blacktron drone. Preliminary images would show the Dummy coming with an exclusive print of his Legoland pop badge that'd be removed for some reason before release and there'd be a gwp around the time it launches of Clone 'o' Patra with a migraine

There are actually two of them, the first of which being leaked was the worlds first look at the dummy, neither a listed because they can't let them be found Exactly, and they keep him on the payroll because even though Bruce is useless against his own foes he keeps accidently killing all of their villains. The Absolute version of the court of Owls is just a secret society of heroes and various accomplices in positions of power whose only goal is to make sure Batman never finds out he's broken his rule.

It's insane that bricklink doesn't list the Demolition Dummy pop badge from Legoland but does for most of the other series one characters, it definitely exists but someone doesn't want us finding it... He'll get one of them, eventually The only reason he's on the justice league is while trying to hit Boomerang he just so happened to klonk Luthor on the head and take him out

Exactly this. No designer ever makes a decision out of straight malice, but that doesn't change the effect of design decisions. LEGO is at this point very well aware of how collectable and popular CS figs are and they control the main secondary market for LEGO so they wind up benefiting more than any buyer by making these figures hard to get. LEGO does a million CMF pallet swaps for BAM, they could easily just put off one of the million costume recolours for a quarter and do a full astronaut, or even better just stop making new CS colours for a bit. They can't do that though because the figs are really popular, and of course they won't just use the CS pieces they already have in production at any time of the almost half a dozen rare colours they already have because: A) the people who just want one of each colour won't buy them B) It means they won't be as desirable and people won't be willing to pay exorbitant prices for these figs anymore It's not intentional when the designers when the designers initially include new colours or hidden prints but it's not like it's a common thing designers do with desirable figures, scattering the pieces in a bunch of expensive and/or limited products then never releasing the figure once all the parts have been made even though by that point it'd be supper cheap to.

At this point I think everyone here knows to some extent that's what they're going to do eventually, I think what @Clone OPatra is getting at though is that many LEGO fans are sick of this method where we get one part for a figure in a random place for a limited release product then years later we get the other parts we're missing in an expensive set completely unrelated to CS. It's an annoying pattern that makes it super obnoxious to collect the figure and often makes it way too expensive to properly integrate a group them into a CS moc or display. If you're gonna make a highly desirable minifigure hard to get do us the favour of just having us need to go to one place to get it, imagine if instead of them putting Commander Cody in a regular set they put his helmet in a UCS, torso in a CMF and legs in a LEGO store exclusive set. It's just kinda irritating seeing them do a new CS colour at this point because they won't just let us buy one thing we don't want to get them , you gotta go on a scavenger hunt or wait until the whole figure is buildable and by then the torso alone is like 20 quid

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Renny The Spaceman replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Please no, if ten years wasn't big enough to I pray that fifteen will be the same Wait... A year based around cars 15 years since the first CMF they've done a single celebratory minifigure in an otherwise normal CMF before this is how we do it, this is how we get him back -
I think the Dummy isn't force sensitive, but I think it goes beyond what a droid would be, I don't think he is affected in any way at all by the force As I see him the Dummy is a bit of an anomaly, he is an inanimate object not meant to be alive, yet he is. I don't think there's any comprehensible reason why he is, I don't think he was brought to life with magic, or artificial intelligence or anything. I think he just is, which is why his desires are beyond our comprehension. He's a nice eldritch god, he doesn't long for domination or subrogation he just wants to have some fun and make people smile in his own special way. I don't think Bob is evil, I think he's just a simple guy living through a bad moment in his galaxies history. I guess we can't know for certain until his show comes out but I imagine at somepoint after episode 2 (likely during the jedi purge) he was taken out of the galaxy he's from and placed in another, with most of records his existence being erased to protect him (hence why the various Lego star wars books talk about him the way they do). A good theory could be that Bob was saved from the purge by someone who can travel between realms, and we do know the Dummy can from the BRICKHEADZ Joker ordeal. As for evidence of their friendship there's not much but I do remember first getting the jedi Bob head from a set with him as a construction worker. That could be him in hiding in another theme after the purge, and if we know one thing about the people the Dummy considers friends (the Robot, the Monster Scientist, Max and the Masterbuilders) he does enjoy the company of people with opposite opinions on building as him so perhaps Bob is one of his friends We saw this coming, insane, imagine telling us three years ago LEGO would sooner put Superman and Lex in a set than Robin Love this, he's the world's greatest detective and the world's largest man, no-one said anything about being the world's greatest shot

Probably as it was the last gasp of how in 2010s LEGO was super close with WB, now their shows don't go on Cartoon Network, TT doesn't make their games (the focus there is now on fortnite which is majority owned by the mouse) most of their crappy animated specials are for disney plus now. Like for years there most of their crappy animations were DC direct to DVD stuff, LEGO Batman Games were treated as TT's biggest series for a while there and ofc he was a lead in their theatrical film franchise but because DC didn't have an uberpopulist film franchise that slowly consumed and permanently changed the film industry while simultaneously changing the entire companies output to become focused on brand synergy with the live-action movies at the time all this LEGO DC stuff needed to work off the comics .

I'd never use generative AI, especially of the Dummy, quite frankly that's an insult and your soul is forfeit for suggesting that I just blurred the background because there was a lot of pointless noise behind it. None of these are my offerings, those are strictly between me and the big guy, these are simply the symbols of him I use to commune as those he is comfortable with me sharing Right, shame to hear watto's service was another lie from my brother Also on the topic of the life sized Dummy, in LEGO lore the minifigure is lifesized, though a human sized Dummy would be a fun project I simply don't have the funds for it right now (the dummy is very understanding) I do have some 3D printer files for a large dummy from someone online. I wonder if I could upscale it for that, if I could though I don't have a printer so that's still a long term thing

Very glad to here this from another person, I was beginning to second guess my shrine I mean as Mandalorianknight said, we now all have all these little idiosyncrasies and injokes in our posts that we're unlikely gonna be able to get rid off. Even if we're likely to be more on topic next year it's not gonna ever go completely back to normal until a good portion of us stop posting here The price markup could be for a new mold or two to make those figures work if we're gonna be a little completely megablocking wrong with with our predictions I hope LEGO eventually does a Legends set or character as a promo or something completely perplexing. I'm a lapsed star wars an so maybe I'm misremembering but didn't legends have a story that revealed Watto was a war vet or something? I want them to do Battle Watto, maybe that green rabbit thing then completely drop the regular Star Wars line and make sets only for Detours or something. Every theme must devolve into madness and only then will every LEGO fan be free

Should LEGO become publicly-held in 2032?
Renny The Spaceman replied to Callum Precious's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, exactly, bo idea why anyone would think otherwise -
Shame, piecemeal it will be then
-
My thoughts exactly, I don't really want LEGO to keep piecemealing CS colours so I'd hope it's black. That'd be great as that colour is so hard to find with the gold still intact, even the 2009 reissue is expensive so it'd be nice to have

Is that a black CS torso on your story???
