  1. Maybe if you're a weird freak with like a nose, or ears, or a mouth. Am I the only normal person who's head is just complete smooth with no distinguishing features?
  2. I think I've had something like this happen before, for me IIRC I downloaded an NFC scanner app on my phone, scanned it then it started working again, try that maybe? there are ways to fix an NFC tag I know that at least.
  3. To be fair I think that's an inevitable thing, generally if people spend more money on something they're more emotionally invested in it, a bad big set is more hated such as that Hoth one from 2016 and a good one is more idolised I think sets like the Surprising Spider are amazingly made and look just as good as the f*ck off expensive sets but it's never gonna be in the same boat. Add onto that the fact any desirable IP or classic theme throwback, or even any sandbox theme stuff like Castle or Vikings are gonna be in expensive sets of course that's what people choose
  4. No, new guy, don't trust the words of a man with several holes in his head
  5. Did they even have a building brick line back then?
  6. Imposter isn't a synonym for doppelgänger, you can be an imposter without looking anything like who you're imitating, you don't even inherently need to be imitating an individual to be an imposter, you can be an imposter in a group posing to be a member of it without playing as someone else. you're failure on semantics here means your case should be thrown out with extreme prejudice
  7. Yeah, pretty much, I think he goes by the codename Purple Number 13 but that might be something imagined up, he was the best crime boss because his brain was so much bigger I believe. I think Luigi was the stealth puppet master though. You're underselling them Arkham as the last hurrah is kinda plausible ngl, surely they know that if they give up on the licence they might not get it back though? They'd have to keep it out of the understand that if they don't have it the competitor that does get it would instantly be given a boost and more legitimacy
  8. As someone who just found out this run existed, I agree. Man, I'm surprised the Jedi Bob thing is third on this list, over Turtle, Luigi, the Dummy, Brickheadz Joker and such. You know we did make a big deal out of the Monsters of the LEGO world being a Ghettoised community, does the new creator set add to this, how do we think the LEGO citizens treat aliens, a recent LEGO City set had an Exo Force mech in it, do we think that museum is owned by the city, in which case Mayor Corncob now has gotten his hands on Exo Force technology, how will that factor into his evil plans? What happened to the pilot, was the LEGO City police state or Blacktron responsible for ending Eco Force by killing all the pilots and taking their vehicles to make new weapons of war? I guess that's a pretty good demonstration of how this worked for Robert8
  9. Didn't know either of these, looking into it, megablocking hell these are atrocious The thought bubble page in particular I've put bellow, genuinely abhorrent, might be up there for the worst of these with how it's framed Oh how quickly they forget, to cut a very long story short LEGO City is a police state controlled by a mayor in a cornsuit, we speculated a lot on the specifics of how it worked and found links to many other themes there I don't think so, the game entered development, I believe, after LEGO knew the theme was on the way out which led to loads of kids wanting to buy sets that weren't sold, which is why they immediately used a new game to springboard the new Superheroes line
  10. Hold on, that's way more than we've discussed on here before, what did Guy and Power Girl do? Begining to think we need to pull a Kingdom Come and just nuke the megablocks Agent Smith who's from an R rated film got in over him. There's definitely something deeper than with other snubbed villains there
  11. I imagine the opposite, I think it'll probably help it's case, it's not 2018 or 2019 where just plucking any B or C tier hero gets a billion, even the ones non-fans know struggle. Clayface being a character the average person is vaguely aware of but just being a standalone, low budget horror film, with a big name in horror doing the script will probably help it's case. DC can't really afford to do the nostalgia push which is the only way these films do 2010s numbers anymore as the only successful film franchise they had in the 2000s, which is where they need to milk to actually capture the stagnant audience for this genre, is the Dark Knight trilogy which obviously they can't do anything with
  12. Tangentially related but I love how they did a set with Batman and the entire Al Ghul family and Bruce is the only one with any melanin
  13. I do love the idea of someone on the LEGO DC design team having read this, it'd never affect production but the idea that the people who make the sets might now have, to the tiniest degree "we're gonna have anything we make tied to a sh#tpost about a Turtle or a Dummy" in the back of their mind is hilarious Probably will happen, TBF Mando has done that concept, but I'm sure one of us will make it real eventually
  14. They know fans are dedicated buy the most ridiculous things just for the figure, or now parts to make a figure. We would not get a Benny's Space Squad today, they'd have randomly put the pink one in the expensive, microscale castle or something and not remake the others
  15. Same, especially given that my dad's uncle works at Nintendo and has leaked a certain character is gonna make an appearance in the game soon
  16. This Rumour happens a lot, at this point I doubt it. Do we think they'll do sets of some of the new racers from Mario Kart World?
  17. I do wish they would do fewer. I like these figures a lot but you can't even make the argument they wouldn't be included without piecemealing them because we also consistently get them in random sets and GWPs I'm sure that's part of it but at this point they definitely know what they're doing. Like why do they never sneak in a helmet or air tanks in like a 20 quid city boat or something.
  18. Ah, right, so the only guy on the Avengers is the guy who designed his suit with generative AI who I'm gathering from your description is quite annoying, honestly don't build a new team, kill off every character but him, have him lead the project. Even as someone who tapped out of these films long ago it's insane how the series made famous for having characters crossing over to set up other films didn't have characters crossover to set up the sequel to their biggest film ever Ngl, I think almost every Arkham holds up, they're pretty consistently solid
  19. Everyone's ignoring the most important thing, the classic penguin build is back. The greatest design in LEGO history
  20. You know how Unikitty was in TLM2 CMF? It's this build exactly
  21. Anyone else think it's mad we're waiting on 4 different CS figs parts to go on bricks and pieces? I really hate this method of releasing figures. Like it used to be one or half of one a year but we've got 4 this year.
  22. It's not the world, like in the context of LEGO it's more like "some men want to watch Germany burn" we can live without Germany, for the bit. Yeah, China isn't really into American blockbusters anymore, most franchises that relied on that. I think that's kinda the boring answer for why any superhero movie could do a billion in like 2019 but now the genre is struggling constantly. I think for the better, these things need to lower their budgets they're utilising them atrociously, like Disney Doctor Who level of allocating this stuff poorly, when the sky's the limit you just paint every canvas blue. I have no idea what the 2nd one means, but yeah, if somethings gonna be bad make it memorable, unfortunately the most boring directors in the world are helming the project so big swings are off the table. They've done like 5 of the worst films ever made outside of their franchise stuff and they're all just endlessly boring. I need Disney to punt them off the project and get Neil Breen to direct it, please. Haven't they done the little Captain America helmet piece in black? Maybe this shows what I know about the theme but I'd imagine in one of his 78 minifigures they'd have done that?
  23. I hope they put a ridiculous amount of budget into the 78 different figures needed, it takes up the entire year's budget then the sets flop horribly. I think that'd be the funniest scenario. Does so catastrophically poorly, on like a sub-Galidor level, so all of Superheroes bar Spider-Man 4+ sets is folded into icons.
  24. The year where it'll be just like part of the wall with a security guard is gonna be a bit of a downer Looking like it, kinda funny a DC movie, aimed for families doing well is gonna be the last straw for lego cutting the theme cold turkey. Do we think it'll be like 2021 in that there's a random Batman set like last time, not indicative of the end but shows it's status as a non-priority when big Marvel movies eat up the budget or that the prediction is finally true and it's been folded into icons
