LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Absolutely not, I own the basic upscaled minifigure and it's arm connections are weak, they could not stand the weight of the baby build -
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

"LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will feature seven playable characters, including Batman, Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul. Each character is equipped with unique skills, combos, and gadgets – like Batman’s Batclaw, Jim Gordon’s foam sprayer, Robin’s line launcher, and Catwoman’s whip." Yeah, I'd say this bodes poorly for the theme's future, it'd be very easy to have a story just essentially focusing on the Arkham set villains with the film costumes unlockable, then have the three sets next year be basic Batman sets to tie in. I am really curious how this entered development because this seems like it'd be no-ones ideal outcome on a production level, half adapting half a dozen movies and awkwardly stringing them together with at least one character not in any of them -

Same area mentions only 7 playable characters, which is interesting, definitely not gonna be the usual LEGO formula -

I really wish they'd do at least some smaller sets for it under Creator, if for no other reason than I think it's mad that Castle, which has now become such a factor in LEGO's 2020s non-licensed output, winds up needing to "fight" for a set in something like the Ideas twist of nostalgia contest. Castle is the only community other than Star Wars with that same insane army building culture LEGO plays into so much now so why doesn't it get pitted against the smaller fan favourite themes fighting for a second chance like Power Miners or Paradisa when it's clearly able to at least sustain the same adult market as all the Clone Bro sets. -

Haha, the Suicide Squad campaign would be to die for. The level where you play as Rick Flag and build the iPad to blow up Slipknot would be iconic. I hope Batfleck isn't unlockable because it'd be hilarious if the likes of Polka-dot Man, the Wicked Witch and Daleks from TLBM are in the game but he isn't -

I heard the LEGO Batman game allegedly coming might feature the LEGO Batman movie as one of it's playable films, makes sense as otherwise the roster would be almost exclusively variations on Batman, Gordon, Alfred, Joker and Catwoman. It'd be funny to have an adaptation of one of the WB LEGO movies in the 2020s -

None of those are comparable. No-one was thinking these were going to flop, they looked and were ratshit but we're so obviously gonna make money That's true, they are kid's movies at their core, they change the costumes every film to sell more toys and such but there is a difference between "4 quadrant family friendly action blockbuster" and a straight kids movie like Minecraft or Mario, many ultra protective parents will not take their kids to see a film with with swearing or violence or whatever but IP based kids films are safe money that every family will see, no parent refuses to take their kid to Mario. A big problem is also these superhero movies appeal less and less to kids every passing year, there'll be 10 year olds when the new one comes out who haven't had any Avengers film release in their memory. They all get more insular and rely on people having seen more and more earlier ones, this always, in and medium does lead to the infallible falling. In LEGO's case look at Bionicle, kids still are a big part of the audience but the audience makes up a smaller amount of the population of kids year upon year. Maybe it'll make money but it's absolutely not a sure thing, especially as it's gonna be a ridiculously expensive movie. There's a real chance it could do like 700 mil and still be considered a flop, budget is the big killer with most blockbusters now -
True, Summer of Slug is always a highlight of the season, I onnly started on wPlace because it kept coming up in the SoS Discord. Funny enough I was going to Slough to make another Dummy as @CloneCommando99 asked and saw a Slug based piece of art so added Dummy to it (it was definitely Slugger based, no other situations would have the word Slug used). Here's the rest of Slough if anyone's curious. If he stays, there can be no party. he must be out there in the night, staying vigilant. Wherever a party needs to be saved, he's there. Wherever there are masks, wherever there's tomfoolery and joy, he's there. But sometimes he's not cause he's out in the night, staying vigilant. Watching. Lurking. Running. Jumping. Hurtling. Sleeping. No, he can't sleep. You sleep. he's awake. he doesn't sleep. he doesn't blink. is he a bird? No. he's a man. he is man. Or is he? Yes, he is man. Yeah, quite a few Bionicle things dotted around, had a friend describe the site as a map of people's autism, Bionicle was always gonna show up on something like that. Who knows, the greatest revelations are yet to come I suppose, maybe he means more than we could possibly know. We've probably had the same emoji's on this forum for decades at this point, how hard would we need to Jonkle to get a dummy one?

This theme is genuinely so bad, like embarrassing build quality for embarrassing prices and people pay these ridiculous prices just for figures they usually don't even like! Still buying them is an exercise in masochism -

I think the idea is they remade the Tumblr after about 3 years so it's plausible to just get a worse, more expensive, Burton batmobile. Personally I think they'll be three, kinda generic but competent playsets reusing the Arkham figures which is a massive step up now -

I just saw the Jang video on that Clone tank set, genuinely how does this theme get away with it? One of the best selling themes and it's both price gouged and puts out blatantly unfinished sets. Honestly set aside all the people who complain about minifigures or what slightly different type of trooper is overused or slightly off, this theme is actually embarrassing for a company that markets itself as a premium product -

Funny, we're now at the Bionicle dream level of desperation. The theme is definitely dead. Superman is seemingly going to be the biggest success story with these capeflicks this year too and it was one of two without sets -

Who are they, do they post like this often, like what are they complaining about with this series? Do they not like it because it's "woke" or whatever? It looks like every other Marvel CMF -

No, you made minor error in phrasing, they're not Turtle, they are a new man
