I've never had any trouble calling about missing pieces. It's only happened to me three times in the past two years, but each time, the customer service person was very friendly and apologetic that the pieces were missing. Then they were shipped to me for free. I did try the website once, but also had challenges using it. So I stick to calling.

I'm a little worried about the cost of these sets too, but I'm trying to be patient to get official word of what they'll be. But as with all licenses, they will be more expensive. I just hope the design and types of pieces are worth the cost. I apologize if this has been talked about before, but does it look like there's a new horse mold in one of the prelim pictures? It shows a horse on it's hind legs, kicking up the front legs. The front legs are right below the horse's head. I saw it on set # 9471 Uruk-hai Army. But it looks kinda like its animated so I wasn't sure. What do other people think of this?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
SilvaShado replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I didn't know that so thanks for sharing! I know I'm going to pick up several copies of the Leprechaun mostly for that pot! My local LEGO store was supposed to get them in last Friday, but it didn't arrive in the shipment so it'll be another couple of weeks. :-( But strangely, none of the TRU's have them either. Normally they've got them out way before LEGO has them. But I have seen the mark-up in price so I'm going to wait for the LEGO store to get them, especially considering how many extras I want. -
So happy that I was able to get the Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase, set #6864, yesterday! We put it together and I think the Batmobile is just the sexiest LEGO car I've ever seen! My husband got a little jealous of the attention. lol!

Wood Elf Druid + Tree Demon
SilvaShado replied to Wardancer's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very cool. I like both MOCs quite a bit. Nice to see a different use of McGonagall's dress. -
Awesome! I wish I hadn't missed out on the trolls. I'd love to make MOCs with them, especially with all the cool new parts and minifigures coming out.

I'm happy to report that I went to two Targets near me and found a total of 9 sets. If they had a lot, there went very very fast. I'm lucky that my husband and I are both AFOLs so I didn't have to convince him of the value of buying multiple copies. Though I don't need the Harry Potter figures, you can't buy him for $1.19. So I'm hoping to sell the figures to friends who like Harry Potter while using the rest of the pieces in our own MOCs. I do hope that the Star Wars polybag goes on sale soon. The target nearest me has every register full of them. And there's some nice dark grey and dark red plates that I'd love to have for building.

Thanks for correcting me. I wasn't sure. Sad that other stores mark up LEGO that much...

Monster Fighters 2012
SilvaShado replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm a huge fan of the ghost figure. I loved it as a kid and I'm so happy to have recovered my childhood LEGO collection and found I still had the ghost! But I understand its not for everyone. I love the look of the train. Depending on how expensive it is, I'm debating on getting two so I can keep one as is and modify the other one. -
My sentiments exactly. I'd buy all of these if it weren't for the lady fig. What I'll probably do is wait to see if I can get any on sale for the parts. I do like the new colors and the minifigure accessories. There are so many new cool parts, even if some are in odd colors.

I love Heroica and I can't wait for all the new expansions to come out. I was so excited when someone posted that there were 5 new locations on the map. I hope they all come out next year. I'm still debating on whether to buy the carrying pack, but it seems too overpriced. Has anyone bought it? If so, what do you think of it. Is it worth it? It does look to be a little discounted now. I'll have to see if it is the same price in stores. I may get it, but I'm so unhappy with how much Toys R us has been marking LEGO up lately.

What will you remember from 2011 with Lego?
SilvaShado replied to eliminator's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'll agree that joining EB was one of the biggest defining moments of this year. It's really expanded my horizons. I love castle so the Mill Village Raid and the Blacksmith Shop were the best sets of 2011 for me. I was so happy to see more peasants after the Medieval Market. I can only hope that LEGO continues this trend whenever they get back to Castle. Hearing about all the new themes coming out in 2012 was also very very exciting and memorable, especially with all the rumor discussions. And then building my own creations was also very memorable. I've really grown as a builder this past year as I've challenged myself. I'm looking forward to next year as I have many plans floating around in my head. I hope to make even a fraction of them reality next year. -
An internet tale Winchester/Shaun of the Dead project on CUUSOO
SilvaShado replied to Yatkuu's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Good luck! I think it's awesome that you've gotten such great feedback. I've been meaning to check out CUUSOO. I think I will now. -
I was looking at their site yesterday to see what other new sets they had listed. But as for the prices, aren't they in Austria? I think they have an inflated dollar, but I'm not sure.
-
Thanks for the heads-up. I've been wondering when that set was going to be released here. I just hope one of my local Target's has it. When the Target Practice came out in some Targets, none of the ones near me had it.
-
ROFL! These are hilarious and very true. Though for me and my husband, I usually have the thought bubble about LEGO while he has the naughty bubbles - but not always, sometime we're on the same wavelength on LEGO.
-
That's a great story and really shows that we should let kids be kids. Let their imaginations run free. Not tie them to one color or a theme. Reminds of the little girl tirade on You Tube.
-
I agree. I'd like to see something different than the typical medieval knights. Roman/Greek would be fantastic.
-
That looks so cool! I'm really liking these snake people. And if the next season on Ninjago is going to have Pirates, I am going to be all over that! I already created my own Ninja vs Pirates scene for my local LUG's display back in November using PotC and Ninjago sets. I'd love to see LEGO official Ninja vs Pirate sets.
-
Good luck! The funhouse is also at the top of my list to get... once I have money again. lol!

LEGO stores are supposed to have everything listed online, but when I got to mine they only had 3 sets. The Catwoman, the Superman and the Batmobile sets. I think different LEGO stores will have different ones depending on what people like.

What's on the newspaper in the Super Heroes Catwoman set?
SilvaShado replied to blackpyre's topic in LEGO Licensed
Explains the tree and the minifigure picture, but that's the worst story I've ever heard. Really bad grammar and makes very little sense. I'm surprised that LEGO couldn't have come up with something better if it was going to be possible to read it. -
I think the feminists are going way too far. The only thing I complain about and have heard the most complaints about from LEGO fans is that the ladyfigs are not compatible with normal minifigures. The sets are good and appropriate with the content, it's just frustrating that the figs are different especially when LEGO doesn't make enough female minifigures as it is. But Friends will do the job that LEGO wanted it to do, which is to get new girls interested in LEGO. I just hope it doesn't alienate current fans too much. And I wonder whether it will keep those new girls interested for very long...

Catalogs seem to be quarterly. If you didn't get the winter one, I suggest re-signing up on the LEGO website. If it's mailed to you, you get a nice 10% off one item coupon on the back cover. You can pick up catalogs in LEGO stores, but they don't have the coupon. I'm pretty sure you have to sign up for everything separately, but you should be able to check your account online to see what you are signed up for.

Went to the LEGO store to try to get some sales. Not many good discounts. Got two copies of Ramses Pyramid for $4 each. Had some gift card money so bought two new Superhero sets - Catwoman and Superman. Also picked up Ninjago Venomari Shrine. Not bad, all in all, but was hoping for better discounts.
