  1. I managed to get that off Amazon, but I had to save up for it as it was still pretty expensive when I bought it. Haven't played it yet, been way too busy. I did contact LEGO about it, but they said that they tested it in Europe and it didn't sell well so they didn't bring it over. I told them that they tested it in the wrong market. The US is space crazy. I also wish they would release the Holiday board game. It looks so cute! But I can't find enough info about it, like rules, to put a facsimile together myself.
  2. oh dear! Why in the world couldn't they have just called it red riding hood?! It's not like the name is copyrighted. I don't care what LEGO calls it, but I am not going to call it Grandma Visitor.... tooo creepy!
  3. Wow, those summer sets are going to be expensive, but hopefully very cool. Nice to see all four of the ZX ninja together in one set, though I would have expected it more in the dragon one. I am surprised that none of NRG are in any sets, only spinners. 33 minifigures is a lot, but Ninjago is a lot! lol! I'm going to be so broke this year with Super Heroes, Ninjago, Monster Hunters and Lord of the Rings...not to mention all the Collectible Minifigures. There are times I wish I hadn't liked Ninjago, but I do and I'm in it all the way because of my completist nature. I can only hope that LEGO supports the 2012 Ninjago sets all year so I have plenty of time to pick everything up.
  4. I don't think these are the first rubbery hair pieces ever made by LEGO. So far, I've not had any problems with the rubbery hair. Hargrid's hair is just fine, for instance. I mean, I wouldn't leave any LEGO pieces out in the desert sun for any length of time. Under extreme conditions, almost anything rubber or plastic would melt or deform.
  5. The statue of liberty's head piece is a bit rubbery. Why?
  6. I would happily buy the junk car and Jay's parents. The moment I saw them, I knew I wanted them as a set! That junk car is just soo cool. I'm thinking of trying to make a MOC, but I need to find some good still shots of the car from different angles. If anyone has any, could you post them?
  7. You're very welcome! It's helpful to know what pieces to look for. We've been able to help a lot of people when we've gone in to get extras. Most people are amazed at my husband's ability. I'm very glad we can help others out.
  8. I would love another Avatar Airbender series. I totally missed out on the two that were released. I did manage to get the ship at a decent price, but the air temple is way beyond my price range. I like Narnia, but there must be a reason why they never get very far into the movie when they try to make the films. It may just not be that translatable to the big screen. Don't get me wrong, I love the book series and read it several times as a kid. I just don't think it does well on TV or movies. I do think it'd be fun as a LEGO series, but LEGO only licenses off TV and movies, not books - which is kind of sad because LEGO could promote reading with their toys.
  9. Someone pointed me towards Brickipedia and here's what I found: "The Holographic Krazi card was given to LEGO club members at Legoland Windsor on the 1st and 2nd of October 2011. It is the same as the norm." Can anyone confirm if this is true?
  10. I know the playing cards for the Ninjago spinner game is not on many peoples priority list, but I was looking through my card holder to see if I was missing any cards and I am missing *3. I looked it up on Bricklink and it said it was a 3D card of Krazi, but it wasn't connected to a set. I thought I had gotten almost all of the Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu sets. I think I am only missing the BrickMaster Mini Turbo Shredder, Enemy Training, and the promotional set with Jay. So does anyone have the 3D Krazi card? If so, how did you get it? I'm a bit of a nutty completist...
  11. I have wanted a centaur mold for soooo long! I don't know why LEGO hasn't done it since it'd be so easy to modify the horse mold to accomodate minifigure torsos. I'd love any theme that would introduce centaurs into the LEGO universe.
  12. Ah, that makes sense. Then I won't make too much of it until we see a picture of the real thing. I was worried for a moment that they'd made the bag thicker and thus harder to feel to identify the pieces. That would be lame.
  13. Very sweet and creative! Thanks for posting it.
  14. I think my story is somewhat unique because my husband and I came out of our Dark Ages together at the same moment. We saw some really cool Castle sets in a store one day. They were two of the fantasy era sets. We started talking about how much we loved LEGO as a kid and we couldn't resist buying those sets - and that started our adult fandom of LEGO. That was back at the end of 2009, I think, and we've completely enjoyed the hobby since, buying more and more sets, branching out into new themes and creating MOCs together. We spend way too much, but also have a lot of fun sharing the hobby. I feel very lucky that we both love the hobby.
  15. Very nice MOC! I like the use of crossbows for the chair. It's just amazing how LEGO can be used for so many different purposes.
  16. Fantastic MOC! Glad to see that the doors have finally been opened on using Friends for dark and disturbing creations. Once I get some Friends set, I'll have to see what I can do. mahahaha.
  17. Here's a good guide on what pieces to feel for when trying to identify which series 6 minifigure is in the bag. The guide is written by my husband who is visually impaired so he is used to using his hands to see. He has been 100% accurate in identifying the minifigures. We're not going to be shopping at TRU much anymore. Their sales won't even bring the prices back to retail price with how much they've raised the prices. My local TRU is selling Catwoman for $19.99! I'm very glad we live near a LEGO store. We went on Monday as they finally got a shipment in. We were able to get a whole set plus some extras. Going back again this weekend to pick up some for friends since hubby is so good at identifying them.
  18. Is it just be or do those red bags look a little thicker? It could just be the low-res... Anyway, I'm crazy excited for series 7. I got all of series 6 plus a few extras and will be on the lookout for a few more extras in the coming months - need more Leprechauns and their pot of gold. lol! I really think these last few series and the next one are super good. There's only a few figures that I don't care about, but nothing I hate.
  19. Oh fantastic!! No, I think the contest should be about using the dolls in unusual ways...
  20. ROFL! Yeah, we need a contest on what crazy and odd creations people can make with bald Friends dolls.
  21. My husband and I are completists so if we get into a theme, we have to buy one of each set to keep as is. So any that we want for parts have to be bought extra. But we do a lot of bargain shopping, waiting for discounts and clearance. It's still expensive, but then, we also don't get into every theme. If we like a set in a theme that we're not into, then we will buy it for parts and not worry about getting one to keep as is. It's what I plan to do with the Friends sets.
  22. Really?! lol! I didn't think anyone would. When I get some, I'll PM you. I have to get more Super Heroes and Ninjago first, but then it's on to Friends.
  23. I think Ninjago is strong in certain areas. For where I live, TRU were wiped out of Ninjago during the holidays. The LEGO store had some, but were also cleared out. I think the reason the LEGO store online has some is that they always have to stock a lot since they don't know who's going to order from where. So if anyone is going to have stock for clearance, it will be them. I know not everyone likes the spinner game - I'm not a fan, but I do like the minifigures and all the weapons. One of these days, the ninja will fight knights in my world. I like the buildings much more than the vehicles, but the 2012 stuff gives me hope that it will be better built than than the ones in 2011. I haven't gotten any vehicles yet, so I don't know. Been going after the boosters first. Well, actually, been spending my money on Super Heroes first, which is why I haven't gotten any of the bigger Ninjago sets yet.
  24. *groan* Thanks, now I have that theme song stuck in my head...
  25. Steampunk would be awesome, though it would appeal more to teens and adults. I haven't heard of many kids into Steampunk. A mythology line would always be great. As much as I'd like it to be historically accurate, I doubt LEGO is going to do a theme just for adults. So the second-best place is an adventurer's line. I just worry about what adventurers they'll make. I'd stick just to the original mythology with the heroes already presented there, but I doubt LEGO would. I would love for the Old West to come back. I didn't get any of those sets since I was in my Dark Ages at the time, but I love the look of those. I think a spy theme would be cool, but I don't know how popular it would be. Have two made-up sides with the good spies versus the bad spies.
