SHIELD vs. HYDRA Mafia - Day 2
JackJonespaw replied to mediumsnowman's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Adding to that, I have never heard anyone state "I don't have anything useful to say". It is similar to showing up, grabbing a delicious coffee, introducing yourself, and sitting back in the corner while everyone else does things. That is - thoroughly useless. Ah, that actually makes a good deal of sense. I was thinking you had just made up those numbers. -

Could be the host trying to screw with us, but I do not see Director Fury as that kind of man. The way this entire thing is phrased really bugs me for some reason. Mr. Williams, may I ask really what the purpose of this was? I get that you may be attempting to help new players out, but to me, at least, it rubbed the wrong way. -

Let me footnote this. We do not want to completely forget about an SK, but speculating every single variable about who killed who and who blocked or doc'd who isn't really helping with the whole voting someone off thing. Footnote my last post, not Ms. Corrigan's. -
SHIELD vs. HYDRA Mafia - Day 2

I would say that our best bet, if indeed there is a SK, is to largely put him out of mind for now. If his condition is standard, i.e. win with either side, then he should definitely be on our side right now, as we vastly outnumber the scum, and there is a miniscule chance he is in contact with a scum, and that he knows it. I am not sure how my next statement will be taken, but it honestly, as for all we know right now, looks as though there is not a SK right now. Generally around the second day we always have this conversation about "oh, bother, I do wonder whether there is a serial killer or not!". Let us cease it now and focus on looking at who was and is pulsing with a scum-like energy, and assume the serial killer is not relevant now. After all, he cannot do anything more during the day than the rest of us. -

Maybe they're just picking off numbers, or they didn't investigate anyone important last night so they just randomly killed. -

You will not starve as long as I am here, I promise you that much. I do agree with this statement. There's a much larger chance that the vig stayed home than the chance that the scum were blocked. Not impossible odds, but a very unlikely ratio, I do think. My question is, and I mean no offense, but why was Mr. Schram not voted out on the yesterday? Did we simply run out of time to vote for him? -
Medium, can I just say that your set looks really nice. I like the hint of a sepia-type filter over each picture; it goes really well with the blue of the holograms.

SHIELD vs. HYDRA Mafia - Day 1
JackJonespaw replied to mediumsnowman's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"I'm really not sure what to feel about Mr. Schram. He's the scummiest out of everyone, which is why I'm keeping my vote on him, but newbies often are scummy and I'm worried it might be simply down to him being inexperienced and not necessarily him being HYDRA. However, I've written off newbies as "newbies" before in the past and it's come back to bite me; newbie scum can essentially fly under the radar by playing the n00b card." I would be most willing to chalk it up to this, however, since voting is mandantory, I must vote for the man who seems the most suspicious to me. We are ending the end of our day here, friends. Careful, careful! "I really, really need that strong coffee now.....Jafar!" After many many hours of toil, here is your coffee, madame. Enjoy. -
I can't say for the host, but based on other games and other hosts (myself included) there would just be no vote. DF's game was an exception to that rule.

SHIELD vs. HYDRA Mafia - Day 1
JackJonespaw replied to mediumsnowman's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"I have decided to vote at the very last moment. I want to make sure I'm 99% whoever I vote for is hydra." Good luck on that for this first day, friend. The only people who are 99% certain about anything are those who are HYDRA. And that I am 99% sure I am SHIELD cook. I know that this will fall into the familiar "repetition of others'" category, but something about Mr. Schram's attitude does not sit well with me, as if I under-cooked a steak, which of course would never happen. But occasionally, and I attempt a metaphor here, sometimes people themselves are under-cooked, if you understand me. Although it is true that Mr. Schram is a bit new to this SHIELD against HYDRA game, and it seems as though he is floundering around vivaciously, and that is just not something that I would enjoy to place among my ranks. Not to mention, he could very well be a HYDRA agent, either quite in under his head, or attempting to pass as a floundering town, either way you look at it, it is quite the suspicious act. I shall Vote: Mr. Schram (Khscarymovie4). I am also quite intrigued to see who he votes for with his 99% confidence. If anyone would desire some food, I am idly sitting by, awaiting your command. -

Aye, I understand you now, sir. I am suspicious of no one, I must admit. It is the first day, after all, it is quite rare that any true suspicions are made. -

It is not ready quite, yet, miss. Apologies, apologies. Looking at our votes, it seems standard first day stuff with a few odd votes thrown in there. Personally, I feel as though Mr. Castillo is trying to jump a bit onto the familiar "seeking out others who are seeking out bandwagons", if that makes any sense. I do not see on his side, it doesn't make too much sense to me. A clarification, please, Mr. Castillo, would be appreciated! You see a man who votes early on, yet you accuse him of having some kind of knowledge about allegiance? I am not saying that he does not, but your voting does seem quite peculiar and fish-like. -

It is the first day, friend. We rarely get any tangible evidence, and the lynch is generally just on a simple hunch. -

Steaks for everyone, hooray! If you have been wondering to where I am, I was in the back, making delicious steaks for all of you, my friends. And...enemies, apparently. And those of you suggesting that you might bite my hand, you, friends, are on the top of my SUSPICION LIST! With the bonus of also being the only names on there, too! -

Oh no, a murder! This is very bad for us, very! I have a question, which is: would anyone like food? -
And looks like a man who is attempting to "hedge" away at my time-honored business. We shall not fall so easy!
-
It has been taken me a long time, sirs and madams, but I have got your food here. Please, no shoving, please. I missed most of the action, would any body be so kind as to inform me of what's been happening?
-
Eyhh...Mr. Director, he says no alcohol on board, ma'am. I can do the expresso with the other ingredients, if you'd like. What would everyone else be liking?
-
Namaste. I am Jafar Masrani! Very very, I am excited to be providing for all of you. If you have anyting that you will be needing from me, food or not, do not hesitate to ask.

1) Have you played a Mafia game on Eurobricks before? If not, what steps have you taken to make sure you understand the game? Yes. Have you? 2) Will you be able to actively participate over the next 1-2 months or however long this mess goes on? Yes, sir. 3) What is your favorite MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) film? Crucify me if you want, but I love Iron Man 2. Don Cheadle makes that movie from okay to amazing. -

I'm working on a sequel, but there's no way I can get it out before May. Didn't TPRU say he was planning on hosting? -
Kingdoms Mafia - Conclusion
JackJonespaw replied to Dragonfire's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
No, but I'd hoped, if that makes any sense. If nothing else, I figured that he would be open to the idea that I was neutral. It was more of a slight hunch, really hard to explain. -
Wow, didn't know this thread existed. I can't remember exactly my old title(s), one of them had to do with the Hogwarts Community Build, which I hosted, kinda, a long while back. Then it was something concerning my 3 year hiatus on graduating from the Reviewer's Academy. Good times, that. Current one "Doesn't Like Cherry Talk" is related to DannyLongLegs' disgusting devirgining metaphor that he used in front of God and everyone. Shame on him, and shame on you.

Kingdoms Mafia - Conclusion

MT, you clever sonofabitch. You coulda saved me on Day 3, man, and gained an ally, but you didn't. Worked out for you, though. Fantastic playing, man! You too, UM, seriously good job being scum in your first game. That was actually my plan from the beginning - it just made more sense to, considering my win conditions. especially once Lord Duvors died, I felt like reaching out to the scum team was our best bet of winning the game. Turns out they didn't need me, but it was worth a shot. I was trying to get in good with MT from nearly the beginning - but it wasn't easy for me to just come out and say that I was neutral. Of course, once def found out, I was kinda screwed.
