  1. "'Calm down.' he said to those assembled. 'We're not playing another game of mafia!' The crowd cheered." Bob stories are the best stories.
  2. Heyo everyone. Hello. Hi. Yep. How is everyone?
  3. Hey, everyone. JackJonespaw here. You probably don't know me, as I never frequent this part of the forum, and you, the reader, probably do. But that's not really relevant. I just wanted to bring up an idea that I had based on the whole Brexit mess, and the fact that the GBP is now worth 1.35 of the USD (as of 29/6/16), which has fallen quite far. So let's say there's a 60$ Lego set. When a Lego set comes out, the prices for USD, GBP, and Euro are all set, and those prices don't change. For example, take the set THE BATTLE OF TAKODANA, which is priced at 59.99$ and 49.99£. But, if you run the numbers today, with the lowered price of the GBP, the value is actually 59.99$/44.5£. Roughly a 5 pound difference...which could be definitely taken advantage of. So think about it - if you bought Lego sets in America and retailed them off for the full price in England somehow, whether it be online or in public, you could definitely make a profit based upon the fixed price that Lego sets, if you plan it out right. Thoughts?
  4. We could implement a Reddit-type upvote/downvote thing. I totally get if you don't want to, but if we were to add a system, I would recommend taking inspiration from Reddit.
  5. Wait there was I and II and TNG. So I guess technically it'd be III, but the fourth installment.
  6. See, Bob here has done three games in his Excalibur series. Poor JackJonespaw over here hasn't been able to play in a single one. Recently, rumors on the wind have carried over, saying that it could be that Bob is working on a fourth installment...but for now, truth remains in shadow.
  7. 1. JackJonespaw, always here. 2. I've played a few Mafia games before. 3. Where's Excalibur IV?
  8. I don't think I could actually ever kill your characters. Yea, when I came up with the idea, I was really hoping for a 20-something game, like Blacktron or Ragnarok. It didn't translate super well here.
  9. To the surprise of no one, Amelto Inzerillo (mostlytechnic) was going to be lynched. We all saw it coming, even with how badly the host messed up - he was an ULTIMATIO. The last ULTIMATIO, in fact. In fact, I prolonged his life. You’re welcome. But despite our best interests, he was still about to die. The other five - Mike Johnson, Sr. (mediumsnowman), Casto Inzerillo (Rider Raider), Masharin Ivankov (Umbra-Manis), Godalupe Leyva (Khscarymovie4), and Alarcio Leyva (Forresto) were discussing who would kill Amelto. Each of them wanted to do it in their own special way, but before they could decide on anything, they heard a familiar voice. “I’ll do it.” Yea, that’s right. Adone Inzerillo (Actor Builder) was back. Armored up, wielding a giant weapon. It looked like the world wasn’t done with Adone, and had given him a superhuman body with which to destory his enemies. The five were surprised to see Adone, and they all agreed that it should be the once-dead Inzerillo who should kill Amelto. But it wasn’t just Amelto who he wanted - he wanted the man who had killed him. He wanted John McClane dead, too. Meanwhile, Amelto Inzerillo was quietly awaiting his fate, with John McClane innocently standing nearby the Ultimatio. Amelto had to be honest with himself - he’d seen this coming. After Hori Yamaguchi (Tariq j) and Frank Johnson (jluck) had died, it was him attempting to keep afloat among the vast outnumbering MAFIA members. But eventually he had to drown. It seemed like they would always find the bad guys. John McClane, meanwhile, was nervously pacing around the room, looking up nearly every second, expecting to see the others burst in - once Amelto was gone, his usefulness was, too. They would likely kill him, right by the dirty, scummy guilty man who sat next to him. And burst in they did, with the zombified Adone leading the pack. John and Amelto both jumped - both at the outburst and at the fact that Adone somehow hadn’t died. “No death for you, Adone?” Amelto called out to his once-colleague. “Not from you, Amelto,” Adone replied, brandishing his weapon. “Time for your comeuppance.” Amelto chuckled at Adone’s seriousness in the clear ridiculousness of the entire situation. And then he decided to up the ante. Quickly, he grabbed John McClane’s arm and pulled him out of the room, dashing as quickly as he could out of the room and out of the hotel, almost exactly mirroring another Mafia game’s Day 5. Down hallways, down stairs, out the doors into the bright New York city. John hadn’t totally registered what was going on, but he was still terrified. Once out of the hotel, John managed to calm down and confronted Amelto about what the hell was going on. Amelto opened his mouth, but a gunshot rang out from one of the windows of the hotel, and they both ducked in fright. “We’ll talk later, come on.” They ran into a nearby bank to hide, where Amelto finally could talk to John. “I was...sent here. I needed to get you out of here. Had to fake a lot of stuff to get into that hotel room, but I just had to get the opportunity to escape with you.” John shook his sweaty head - “But why, Amelto?! What could I possibly have to do with the Mafia?” Amelto growled - “It’s not the Mafia, you idiot. This is way bigger than the Mafia. This is about the future!” Another gunshot rang out, Mike Johnson, Sr. had followed them into the building and had shot at Amelto’s head, only narrowly missing, but managing to shoot his hat off. “Give it up, Amelto! It’s time for you to die….” Mike’s enthusiasm for Amelto’s death kind of faded out as he looked at Ametlo. Who had hair. And also elf ears. Somehow, inexplicably, mostlytechnic managed to play another elf. “Come on, John!” Amelto shouted, jolting everyone out of their elf ear induced trances. They rushed up the stairs to the roof, while Mike Johnson, Sr. stammered to the others, who had just come in, about Amelto and how he was an elf. “Elves aren’t American!” He shouted. “They’re not even on this planet! He’s an alien! Let’s kill him!” The others, being a town block, immediately agreed with him, and pulled weapons out of nowhere, except Adone, who already had a weapon, if you’ll remember. On the roof, Amelto was typing into some device he had pulled out his breast pocket. “I’m not sure if I can boot it up in time, but if we get lucky, we can get out of here without being killed by those idiots.” John McClane, as confused by the plot as the rest of us, interrogated Amelto for answers. He simply held up his hand in reply. “There’s a guy called Jack, and he’s putting together a kind of...resistance. We’ve been looking through history, and we’ve found out about this little Mafia event, and decided that it’s best if we get you out of there - you’d be surprised at how relevant this kind of lynch/night action type situation is where I came from.” John took a step back. “But, I’m not important!” He protested. Ametlo sighed. “I don’t have time to give you the whole ‘you’re more important than you could possibly imagine’ speech, so just go with it, eh?” The device made a whoosh sound, and he smiled. “Looks like we can get out of here after all!” At that moment, Adone burst in. Or burst...up? Since they went from a lower level to a higher level. Point is, it was time for a showdown. Except it wasn’t, because as cool as I could make it, I don’t really want to edit in all those effects and lens flares. Amelto just laughed, grabbed John, and waved good-bye to everyone else. “Maybe next time, Adone, eh?” And with that, they disappeared in a crappy burst of light that I did have time to edit in. Everyone who was left simply stood there, in awe. Except Adone, who chuckled and took a step forward. “Amelto, you forget, old friend. Time has no meaning for an immortal man. We will meet again.” And then, do that cut to black, basically ensuring that there’s gonna be a sequel. So, there you go. The Convention. Not particularly anything exciting, just a nice little Mafia game to tide everyone over until the next big game. Good work, everyone. I had a lot of fun hosting, and I hope you all enjoyed playing. Uhhh...Deadboard: http://123.writeboard.com/sean24o25y9nhliv1vspodca Password is: Convention If you want any other stuff, like night actions, just say so below.
  10. With everyone except Amelto voting for Amelto, he's lynched! Get them night actions in, boys. And yes, I'm ending the day a tad early.
  11. Yea, it's open. Sorry, I was out of town yesterday, got me kind of frazzled.
  12. Adone Inzerillo (Actor Builder) and Amelto Inzerillo (mostlytechnic) were meeting during the night for an amazing fight-to-the-death, which would most likely end up with both of their deaths. But that was the price for being a hero, Adone thought to himself as he entered the room. Despite saying that no one could leave, the other Mafia members had cleared out all the dead bodies and trash and were watching from vents, at a safe distance, ready for a very fun and entertaining battle. Masharin had even brought popcorn. Well, and vodka. More vodka than popcorn, but no one was complaining. Adone swallowed nervously and tightened his grip on the club that he had. It was the only weapon he could really find, and, besides, it was Amelto who held the knife. And so, expecting Amelto to enter soon, Adone settled himself against the wall to wait on his once good friend. And he continued to sit, for the next few hours, until he eventually drifted off to sleep. The same thing happened to the others - they were waiting on Amelto to show up for so long, that, along with the insane amounts of vodka that they’d consumed, they eventually fell asleep. It was Casto Inzerillo who woke up first. Blinking awake, he pushed Amelto’s arm off of him, and struggled his leg out of the bear-hug of Godalupe. He crawled towards the light of the exit of the vent, and looked through the bars. ] The other five woke quickly, thanks to his shout of fright. They all slithered out of the vents like a couple of snakes and saw Adone’s corpse, lying peacefully on the floor. They all just stood, looking at it. “Suicide?” Mike Johnson, Sr. asked. “Couldn’t be,” Amelto said aloud, wondering along with the rest of them. He had just hung out with the others throughout the night, instead of getting his clothes dirty in a killing fight. Much cleaner, and it looked like someone else had done his work for him. “Shit, and this isn’t the conclusion, either, so there’s still Ultimatio out there.” Godalupe cursed. Enter John McClane - “Let’s do this again,” he shouted. “Adone was a MAFIA. You have to find the other Ultimatio, come on now.” Rules. For the Players. Not for the Host. The Host has no rules to follow. 1. Everyone gets their very own character! Hooray! Either they’re part of the MAFIA, or they’re part of the more red ULTIMATIO. There is no third party neutral, nor will there be any references to the existence of one. 2. Every day, you have the option to vote for someone. You do not have to vote, that is also an option. Do it like Vote: Character (Player). If you want to unvote, do the same thing, but say Unvote:. A two-thirds majority (which I will calculate for you) is required for a lynch. 3. Every “day” is 72 hours long. That’s 3 days. Plenty of time. You can’t vote for the first 24 hours, but as soon as the 25th hour begins, you can. After that, you get a night stage, which, hopefully, will last for a majority of 48 hours. At the beginning of each day (except Day 1, obviously), the alignment of those who died or were lynched will be revealed. 4. You must post twice at least every day. I do this to encourage activity, since inactivity has been pretty prevalent in games thus far. If you do not post at least twice, you get 4 votes against you at the beginning of the next day. 5. Don’t quote any PM’s. You can lie about them, but only if you just paraphrase it. Lying is encouraged, as it sows the seed of distrust! 6. Keep the game in the game, or in your PM’s. If some guy steps to you in game, don’t take it out on him in some thread about the new Star Wars set. We’re all people here. 7. If you die, you can’t post anymore. You’re dead. Keep it that way. Same thing with PM’s. Dead people can’t send messages. 8. If you edit a post, I will decapitate you. Or not, I’ll probably just do the 4 vote thing. If I edit a post, same punishment. No one is safe! 9. There is no BS temperature stuff or hints or any of that in the pictures. The pictures are simply pictures. 10. Let’s talk about PM’s. In the past, you can send PM’s to whomever you desire. Not so here, my friends. Now you may only send PM’s to those who share your family name (Inzerillo, Yamaguchi, Leyva, Ivankov, Johnson). I can’t really keep tabs on whether or not you’re going to be honest about this or not, but let’s just put the honor system in place. 11. This is kinda one of the guidelines when you host a Mafia - don’t make characters who are obviously Mafia-esque into the bad guys. That ruins the fun for everyone. So while certain characters may seem more or less Mafia-esque than others, remember that all alignments and roles are completely random. Remember - judge people on what they say, not who they’re playing as. 12. If you need help with stuff, or want to talk about the game freely, just talk about it with me in the role PM with me. If you need money, I suggest you seek other help. 13. If you violate the rules, I’ll get real angry. Not sure what I’ll do, but you won’t like it. 14. Have fun, if you want. Or destroy everyone in your race to survive. Your choice. 13. The day will be up tonight - sorry, I lost my SD card for a while.
  14. Okay, day's over. Sorry, I shoulda said it a few hours earlier, was out of the house. And no one got lynched. Get those night actions in!
  15. Nice review, Gunman. I enjoy seeing your work improve steadily. Keep it up, mate.
  16. Current Votes - 3 Votes for Adone Inzerillo (Actor Builder) - mediumsnowman, mostlytechnic, Khscarymovie4 With 7 players, you need a 2/3 majority of 5 for a successful lynch. You have roughly 6 hours left.
  17. Voting is Open! With 7 Players, you need a 2/3 majority of 5 to lynch.
  18. Thanks to Tariq j and MacK for playing! As well as jluck!
  19. It was night again, so it was difficult to tell who was sleeping and who was dead. Actually, it wasn’t. See, when someone dies, after a few hours, their body starts to smell horribly. So based on smell alone, the members of the MAFIA were able to tell who was dead from who was sleeping. I know that I’m just typing words and taking pictures, but just pretend with me for one second. Anyway, over in the corner, sleeping like an angel, was Adone Inzerillo (Actor Builder). It seemed like someone wanted him dead, for some unknown reason, and so Mr. Shadow, as he had done the night before, approached his target. However, instead of wielding the syringe he’d had the previous night, he now had a butcher’s knife! Meanwhile, over in another corner, sat the immortal Silent Samurai. His eyesight wasn’t what it used to be, mainly being reduced to grayscale colors, so he had to stay very close to Hori Yamaguchi (Tariq j) to ensure that no one touched his master. But a noise had awoken him, and he slowly opened his piercing silver eyes. He slowly scanned across the room, seeing nothing out of the ordinary….but wait! Over by an Adone Inzerillo-y shape stood a Shadow, outlined in harsh black, a sharp contrast to the Silent Samurai’s usual grays. The Silent Samurai remembered how only a few hours ago, Adone had offered him a live chicken he had found, which he had then eaten. His stomach was still full from his meal. And he wanted more chicken. No one could kill his chicken source. He stood up, grabbed his giant weapon, and lumbered over to Mr. Shadow, who was about to hack off Adone Inzerillo’s head. But before he could, The Silent Samurai swiped through him with his mace, dissipating the Shadow. The Silent Samurai, satisfied with his work, turned back to his master, just in time to see Mr. Shadow reappear, and hack off the old man’s head. His master’s head. It rolled to the floor, coming to a stop by the Samurai’s feet. And, seeing the head of his master, his sweet, sweet master, the Samurai decided that he was going to kill a Shadow. He, again, not having learned from his previous mistake in his fit of rage, grabbed his mace and ran at Mr. Shadow, preparing to swing. And swing he did. And again the Shadow disappeared. And in it’s place was the corpse of Nishimura Yamaguchi (MacK), head smashed to oblivion by the Silent Samurai’s mace. The Silent Samurai decided that maybe it was time to retire, and he, too, disappeared. The morning came sadly, and John McClane, now fully acceptant of his role as the Neutral Character, came out with the day’s itinerary. “All right, boys, today’s an exciting day. Looks like there was some night action, and there are some...some pretty good results.” He looked at the body of Frank Johnson (jluck) - “Frank here was a member of the ULTIMATIO.” He turned towards the shriveled little body of Hori Yamaguchi (Tariq j) - “Mr. Yamaguchi...was also part of the ULTIMATIO.” And finally to the smashed corpse of Nishimura Yamaguchi (MacK) - “This Mr. Yamaguchi was part of the MAFIA. One of the good guys, unfortunately.” Despite the loss of Nishimura, everyone was rather optimistic. The ULTIMATIO’s numbers were definitely thinning. Get to finding ‘em! And let me footnote this - just because it happened in the story doesn't mean it actually happened. I.E., Hori Yamaguchi didn't kill Nishimura. Remember - no hints in the pictures. Rules. For the Players. Not for the Host. The Host has no rules to follow. 1. Everyone gets their very own character! Hooray! Either they’re part of the MAFIA, or they’re part of the more red ULTIMATIO.
