  1. Come on, now, everyone! I know there are more of you skulking in the shadows! Get out of there and join in!
  2. 1968 - Upstate New York Once a decade, for two days, the five largest Mafias/Cartels/Gangs rent out an entire hotel and host the “MAFIA CONVENTION™”. The five, in true Mafioso fashion, take on five family names, to identify themselves without saying the actual name of their Mafia/Cartel/Gang. These five names, and their corresponding groups, are: Yamaguchi, representing the Yakuza Branch, stationed in Japan Ivankov, representing the Bratva Branch, stationed in Russia Leyva, representing the Mexican Cartel, stationed in Mexico Johnson, representing the Hells Angels, stationed in America Inzerillo, representing the La Costa Nostra Branch, stationed in Italy and New York (it was their turn to host the convention) The convention (still ™) is spent drinking and sharing stories of ever-increasing gore. Thus, we come to present day - March 15, 1968. The same day as the Ides of March, when Julius Caesar was stabbed. I wonder if that’ll come into play…. So, hi there, everyone. It’s me, back again, attempting to host another Mafia. This game shouldn’t nearly be as cluttered or BS-y as the Second Crash was, so I guess that’s not altogether a bad thing. Right now, I have 17 spots, but more can always be added based on who signs up; I was just going off of how many the Second Crash had. Anyway, let’s just go ahead and sign up with a few questions: Have you ever played Mafia before? I know most of you have, but...hey, it’s regulation. If you haven’t, welcome! Do you have an understanding of the rules? How available will you be for the next month or so? Open? Good, good. If you got to pick (which, maybe you will get to, if everyone chooses pretty evenly), which family would you want to be part of? Enjoy, and everyone sign up!
  3. I agree. We have threads such as the Licsened Photography Thread, but those aren't really picture-specific. Maybe we could have an RA-type situation where you have to meet a certain criteria to get in, so we don't get a bunch of bad photos shoved in.
  4. Ooohhh no, don't worry. The sequel to TSC has a lot more work to do before I can even think about doing it. This is just a quick, fun, little game to pass the time.
  5. Next week, ladies and gents! Mafia returns!
  6. Yea, that one messed us up a little bit. I still wasn't totally sure, as I ever am, that everyone in the block was townie, but we largely took care of it on the last night, which turns out we didn't really need to. So...I do appreciate the effort. This game's all about psychological tricks, and you played a nice one.
  7. Good work, everyone, especially the town block! I swear, I didn't trust PD until very late game. Once MT got in contact with me, I was very suspicious of everyone else.
  8. Honestly, I feel like I need another night to do actions before I could even pass any judgement. Everything is too up in the air at this point. Which is weird, because usually by Day 5 we feel a lot more secure.
  9. Does your concern have something to do with a scum infiltrating our block, pretending to be vanilla, and unwraveling all of our plans from within?
  10. It is looking like my usual volcano source is not doing so well. I will have to find a new volcano...any reccomendations? Anyway, based on not-so-subtle hints that Director Fury is dropping, it looks like we only have a single scum left to find. Unless there is a third-party role.
  11. If I remember correctly, Main Street Mafia had some, as well as Blacktron. Anyways, Vote: James Cunningham (Bob) We've almost won, fellow townies! Almost there!
  12. I think he means we're disconcerted? About your inactivity?
  13. Good work on everybody. Vote: David Leffel (fhomess) All I can think to say is, if you have not claimed to either Daniel or Jasper, get it done. We are not looking too bad now.
  14. Based on what I saw, 1) is yes, and 3) is that I targeted him on Night 1.
  15. I seem to remember the last pictured joke roles were in Blacktron. Reading Jasper's play, I just assumed that he himself was Person A. I could not have been Person A, since I never contacted David.
  16. I do wonder - did he mention what about them was suspicious? Not that we should ever follow the rule of "got lynched, trust/do not trust his word based on alignment", but I am just interested. It is possible, although, I feel, unlikely, especially for a new player, that one of those two is scum, and he was attempting to throw off the trail.
  17. Medium, what are you doing?! How might we go two days in a row without a lynch?! You cruel mastermind, what are you doing?!
  18. Personally, while I do completely stand behind an investigation into Mr. Heinz's actions, I think we should remain focused on Mr. Schram, otherwise we will end without a lynch. For the second day in a row.
  19. I for one will be keeping my vote where it is. This entire ploy seems too flimsy right now - I would quite like to see what tomorrow brings, now that we are all cautious of who we are cautious of.
  20. Hang on a second, please. Do we know who Mr. Bartell was targeting? There should be some way to see this, right? Basically, if we look at who he targeted and realize that he is still alive, I think we might have a different situation on our hands. ...or because Kinjobby died last night? I do not know what you are reading into this. We are assuming that you are saying that Kinjobby is dead because of Mr. Bartell.
  21. This makes sense. It does look like Person A is the watcher or tracker. But my question is - what is "Action X"? Is Person B asking A if they tracked/watched C? Which, since A said no, would mean that...B would know if A was the tracker or watcher, depending upon what A said he wasn't.
  22. Still a tad risky, in my opinion. If I remember correctly, something like that happened in Kingdom's Mafia when, I think, you and I were under suspicion for doing just that. Of course, we were not exactly town, so maybe there's a point there.
  23. "Of note, Lawson had a 4 vote penalty against him. If there was the perceived minimum scum count of three, all they would need to do is pile on and convince two other players to join them in order to remove an innocent player. A fact that would be easier if there was the possible four scum infiltrating us." I really can't see this happening, honestly. A bandwagon forming on a vote penalty by scum? That would immediately put all 3/4 (3 or 4, not .75) of them under suspicion immediately, I would think. Can't say, but I really don't think that Mr. Lawson is scum based on his activity. In fact...the only person who actually voted on Mr. Lawson...barely avoided a lynch yesterday...and has been extraordinarily useless today... Vote: Steven Schram (Khscarymovie4) Maybe he was trying to form a bandwagon with his scum buddies, but his buddies were smarter than that and pulled him out before anyone took note.
