  3. For the Lego Santa Yoda contest. A MOC about a foot high and two inches wide by two inches long. Sorry if this picture is a bit unclear, I was having trouble with my camera.
  4. If there was a whistle emoticon, I would use it here. I am in awe.
  5. Name: The Senator's Decision Theme: Ancient Rome Minifigure: Gladiator My entry for Category A: Back in Rome, in the gladiator fights, right as the gladiator was about to make the final blow to his opponent, he looked at the senator for thumbs up, kill him, or thumbs down, let him live. You can see other pictures here.
  6. Sure it can. I guess. It's more like a droid, though. I'm really rethinking the rules here.
  7. I realize that, but I tried not to do more than one minifigure per theme. I can change it to nominate your own, if that would be preferred.
  8. A GIANT Minifigure scale model on LDD of the Millennium Falcon coming to Cloud City. Just to give you an idea of how big, the Millennium Falcon I'm using is the USC version.
  9. Hello, everybody. It's the start of a new month, and that means new contest! This month, I have the 1st ever Ugliest Minifigure Challenge. Let's face it, some of the minifigures out there are pretty ugly. Entries are due on December 15th, 2011 at 12:00 AM. So, join if you want to. A link to the group page on Flickr is here.
  10. Tan and dark grey...genius!
  11. Yep, you're right. Pants Torso Hair
  12. After long last, here is my contribution.
  13. For those of you that are episode V fanatics (like myself) will recognize this scene. For the others, not so much. But, nonetheless, here it is: And the complete vignette: Sorry about the bad coloring. My camera is a bit messed up at the moment. Anyway, hope you like it!
  14. Good MOC. I would have changed a bit of the all-white cave and added a few touches of light stone grey around, for a "shadowy" effect. (He is, after all, in a cave.) Could you also expand it back a bit, and maybe at a wampa or a injured Taun Taun? -JackJonespaw
  15. Can we do two models? If so, sign me up for another Cloud City model.
  16. This is my first set review, so I picked a good set, and I hope you like it. Right off the bat, I knew that this set was 100 times better than the first version. It was cleaner, better looking, and with better minifigs. The box has the Lego logo with Captain Rex, like the rest of the summer sets, and features a great action scene of the podrace. The back shows what little playability action there is: the buzz saws on the back of Sebulba's Podracer, and how the front of Anakin's engines move. The instruction manual is a thick booklet, with the same picture as the box. Random instruction page showing the building of the clear parts in Anakin's (or possible Sebulba's) podracer. The Minifigures Just by glancing at the box, I knew I wanted every single one of the minifigs. With new versions of Obi-Wan, Watto, Sebulba, and Anakin, plus his buddy, Wald, they were all new and all amazingly detailed. First, is Obi-Wan Kenobi. The first version is pretty plain, as is the second version from 2007, with a repeat of Luke's face. This version has a cocky smile on his face, and a fantastic detail torso. The reversible face shows what happens when he gets angry. The back printing. Next, you've got the ugly Toydrain, Watto. As you can see, the first version was all blue, and kind of ugly, and super rare. This version he's smaller and more detailed. His back side. Next is Wald. We don't know much about Wald, but he's pretty cool as he is. With some nice back printing. Next is that dirty racer, Sebulba. As you can see, the first Sebulba is pretty plain and ugly, just an unmovable mold of old dark grey. This version, however: is great, with very nice printing and mold. The legs move, and the front legs clip on to the controls of his pod. \ The back. Finally, is the chosen one, Anakin Skywalker. With a maniac expression with goggles and a cool helmet, Anakin is ready for action. But his other face shows a cute, if somewhat annoyed, expression. This torso printing is the most realistic yet, as you can see here: They are really different, huh? Now on to the podracers! Anakin's is that realistic blue and grey. The engines are very well done, although I would have liked a few less stickers. I love the electric beam in between the engines. Here you can see the stickers I'm talking about, as well as the moving things. In the pilot's seat, with the controls in his hands. You can also see how the cables are connected. The pilot's seat with out the pilot, but with many, many stickers. Sebulba's podracer is my favorite of the two, with a whole lot of orange. You can almost hear him shouting "Poodoo" over the roar of the engines. This seat has a whole lot less stickers. Sebubla fits on with a click to the front. Sebulba's seat - minus Sebulba. The engines are very cool, in that infamous X shape, with two electric beams in the middle. The back of the engines, with hints of gold and the giant orange Power Miners wheels. And how Sebulba cheats. The podracers' stands. Red is Anakin, gold is Sebulba. I like how TLC didn't use orange for Sebulba's and blue for Anakin's, instead, they used a color that is in the podracer a lot less. A side-by-side of the podracers. Anakin's is a bit longer, but Sebulba's is twice as heavy and taller. And that's the end. What are my stats about this? Minifigs: 10/10 Great detail and quantity. Ships: 8/10 Less stickers for a more realistic set. Pieces: 10/10 810 for 90 dollars? Great deal. Total: 9.5/ 10 Good set. Have 90 dollars? Go buy it. Hope you liked my first review!
  17. Sounds fun. Sign me up for something in Cloud City.
  18. I would have done that, and before I built the cockpit I looked at other midi-scale Falcons and saw those. I don't have that piece, unfortunately, but I also don't think that it captures the roundness of the cockpit, instead looking blocky.
  19. This is a month-long project I have only recently finished. It is about 1:3 scale of the 2004 Millennium Falcon. I hope you like it! There is a video showing all of the features here.
  20. Really nice MOC. Love the detail.
  21. For the FBTB contest. So, what do you think? More views here.
  22. Sweet idea. I thinks this will be a good challenge.
