I did a quick "Edit your Cart" quantity change on Amazon, and if the system is right there are more than 999 left in stock there. Whether that's an accurate number is anyone's guess, but there's been no indication that it'll be discontinued soon. It is a great set though, I'd recommend getting it sooner than later.

I am giving some serious thought to parting this one out with BL also. Buying the original set is out of the question at this point, but the nice thing about going through Bricklink is that I can buy different lots of pieces over time and spread the cost out a bit.

It will be very disappointing if the Batcave is only a small set. I can picture it being a large set to kick off the line...

Nice shot, Wayno! The accessories with the collectible minifigs keep getting better. They lend themselves so well to parody.

The shield would be a nice addition. A new design of the shield from 7929 in trans-yellow would do the trick without having to create a new mold. I'm curious to see whether the Commando Droids share the exact same basic body type as the existing battle droids.

Sorry if I've offended. What I was quoting didn't say anything about CW being better than Empire. All in how you read into it, apparently. Moving on... Not a dumb question at all! I imagine that it all depends on how far along TLG is in the development process for the summer 2012 sets. I don't recall seeing a preview of something a year in advance like this, so it's possible there's an image out there of at least a finished Amidala minifig. If not the set that she's in.

The show is amazing in that it progressively gets better and better. The second half of Season 3 (which just ended) was pretty mind-blowing. There's some more mature thematic elements at play throughout the show; it's definitely not just the "kiddie show" that it's often marketed as. I don't collect the Clone Wars sets (it's my way of limiting my collecting habits ), but I feel that as collectors we should understand the source material that these sets are coming from.

You guys are missing out on some pretty great stuff by not watching The Clone Wars. The popular sentiment is that it's the best Star Wars since The Empire Strikes Back, and it's definitely true in my opinion. Complaining about a minifig (that we haven't even seen yet, by the way) just because you haven't seen the material it's based on is rather ignorant. The undead Geonosian minifigure totally makes sense if you've seen the Season 2 episodes "Landing at Point Rain" through "Brain Invaders". Some of the best episodes of that season.

Hopefully we'll start hearing some leaked info about sets within the next few weeks. I've been dying to know ever since SDCC, where I thought for sure they would reveal the first wave.

I'm curious to know that as well. It's been pretty quiet on the PotC front lately, it would be nice to know what the plans are for the line going forward.

Reading your post about Tarzan reminded me of all the fantastic possibilities for Disney sets. Lego should really do a "Classic Disney" line and release sets from their vast selection of animated and live-action features. There's a gold mine of possibilities for Disney.

Obviously it wasn't meant to be canon, but it was still a really fun ending. I was actually surprised with how much Lucasfilm let them get away with.

Lol Hinckley!! I do agree though. It might not seem like a big deal to some, but the TV special is still pretty recent and a lot of folks missed it. I for one was genuinely surprised by the ending and would have been mad to have it ruined for me.

I would LOVE to see that. A Yavin IV Rebel Base set would be fantastic! It appears that things are headed that way, doesn't it? What with a brand new X-Wing, Y-Wing, and TIE Fighter on their way. Between those and 10188 Death Star, you've got everything needed to recreate the last 1/3 of Episode IV. We only need a base! Make it happen, LEGO!

I definitely agree with you, I would love to see TLG release more system scale pods. Unfortunately I just can't see it happening, since less-recognizable pods probably wouldn't sell as well on their own. We all know how Lego favors the well-known vehicles and characters, hence the reason we only saw Anakin and Sebulba's pods in the most recent wave. Assuming that minifig was meant to be Dutch Vander, it's due for a new version anyway.
