I agree completely. It completely baffles me why Lego uses stickers as a crutch so often these days. It's actually getting really annoying. Still, this is probably one of my favorite sets from the wave. I'll definitely be picking it up, maybe just not applying the stickers right away.

Lego has never made an official George Lucas minifigure...yet. That's still on my most wanted list.

Great review! Overall, it's a worthy scene to be made into the centerpiece set of this initial LotR wave. I'm looking forward to getting this set, although I'll have to wait for a sale.

Great review! It's hard to believe that the summer sets won't be released for another few months here in the U.S., but here we are looking at in-hand pics. As great as Jabba's Palace is, I think this is one of my favorite sets from the wave. Just a really great scene and tons of playability. Plus the original Skiff set was one of my first as well!

Good points about the apparent shortage of location-based sets. I've felt for a long time that that's the one area severely lacking in the Star Wars theme. There's a lot of fantastic untapped potential as far as location sets go. Theed, Kamino, Mos Eisley, Cloud City, Coruscant, etc. I'm not saying there are too many vehicles in the SW theme, but when I think of Star Wars I think of much more than just the ships.

I'm actually with Hawkman on this - those rebreathers are awesome!! I always love it when I see something unexpected like this.

Looks like the front panel on the droid in the Republic Striker fighter is a sticker. You gotta be kidding me...

Don't worry, you'll be able to get it in the UK. I don't think we know which retailer it will be exclusive to yet, but keep in mind that you can always get it from either a LEGO Store or S@H.

Dang it!! I got super excited when I saw this...already starting planning out in my head how I'd be able to afford another order for an exclusive minfig. Too bad it's fake.

That helmet on Lando is amazing! Nice to see an updated Lando face as well.

Yep, same here. I chose those three sets to tip me over the $50 mark for the free Hulk. Could've gotten the Weathertop set I suppose, but with such a dismal price/piece I'll wait for a sale on that one.

I ordered my first few LotR sets last night from S@H! Gandalf Arrives, Shelob Attacks, and Uruk-hai Army. The free Hulk minifig and poster made it an extra sweet deal. I can't wait to get these!!

Makes me wonder if it's just a free download then; otherwise, they'll be shipping out a lot of free posters.

Am I reading that correctly? It implies that you just have to upload a picture to the LEGO Shop Facebook page to receive a free poster...

It seems odd that we still haven't seen pictures of Palpatine's Arrest or the B-wing. These are supposed to come out this summer as well, correct?

Got my May the 4th order (10221!!) the other day. I love the TC-14, but was a bit annoyed by the fact that it was placed in the bottom of the box, underneath the weight of the SSD for the entire journey...

I guess I'm just not clear on what you're saying here. Are you letting the fact that you don't have Castle sets put a damper on your enthusiasm for the LotR sets? That doesn't make much sense to me at all.

Thanks for the box shots! They both look fantastic- especially the Skiff. That's the best small-sized set to come around in a while.

I'm waiting on pins and needles for pics of the B-Wing! Can't wait- especially if it's minifig scale. It kills me knowing that some of you guys have been lucky enough to see it already.

Um....because stickers suck.

My SSD that was order on Saturday morning is still listed as "In Process". Hopefully with tomorrow being the start of the a new work week, the status will be updated.
