  1. Nice! I'm hoping to achieve a similar setup, with a few additional Uruk-hai once that polybag set is released.
  2. Sounds like a reasonable guess. Hopefully it's minifigure-scale as well.
  3. THIS....!!! A Kamino set is pretty high up on my wanted list.
  4. I don't have 10144 either, but I'll bet there's a very good chance it gets an upgrade. I'll just wait it out for a better version.
  5. I just noticed that on the German Lego site, the SSD no longer appears under the products menu. Normally new products appear there before the US site, so could this be an indication that it's being discontinued?
  6. The promo Maul is obviously based on the non-Clone Wars version, hence no robotic legs or cartoon eyes. Other licensees have been producing "Shirtless Maul" items for years...
  7. It would be great to see sets based on classic Disney animation. I'd buy an Aladdin set in a heartbeat.
  8. Very cool! I may have to try and track down one of those.
  9. Yep, I took my little brother to it, and we were both able to make the Superman and Batman shields. I was expecting more strict regulations, but the employees at my store were pretty cool about letting anyone who wanted to build both of them.
  10. With Viacom (Nickelodeon) gaining the rights to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I really hope there's a good chance to seeing TMNT sets released! That would just be awesome.
  11. Ah, that's right!! I had completely forgotten. Let's cross our fingers then.
  12. Why not both?! I bought them both as my first LotR purchase, and they're both great sets. Shelob Attacks is an incredibly good value for the money, with 3 key characters. Gandalf attacks, while it doesn't have a great price/piece ratio, is cool in that it's the first scene from Fellowship and the only way (currently) to get Gandalf. Basically you can't go wrong either way!
  13. This weekend? How can you be sure? I hope so!
  14. I love licensed sets, especially because almost all of my favorite franchises have now been reproduced in Lego. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Marvel, and DC. It's really only a Jurassic Park theme that's missing (no, I don't count those Jurassic Park 3 Studios sets).
  15. Nope, that's awesome though. It's always good to have extra stickers in case they decay someday.
  16. I'd be very surprised if there isn't at least one set from "Dark Knight Rises", considering the fact that Lego will produce sets from "Man of Steel" next summer. All the cards are lined up as far as licensing and precedence is concerned. Didn't Lego already produce a set loosely based on Batman Begins (with the Tumbler)?
  17. That's a great idea to use the microfigure for Ant-Man! I'm sure we'll see some Ant-Man sets if the movie from Edgar Wright ever sees release.
  18. I have to echo the sentiments of many here that the Darth Malgus minifig is just an incredible piece of work. It's a fantastic minifigure, and even though I'll probably never play The Old Republic MMO I can appreciate purely for its level of accuracy. As for my favorite Jedi minifigure...I'm not sure if this one counts or not, but the new Tatooine Luke from 7965 is a standout to me. Sure, you could argue that at that point in the films he isn't a Jedi yet - but he's got a lightsaber, so that makes it fair game to me. I also really like the new Luke fig from the Skiff. It's great that Lego finally got that outfit right.
  19. I agree!! That would make a perfect Easterling minifig.
  20. IMDB is a great resource, but it doesn't mean entries should always be taken at face value. The site is very good at keeping up with rumors and very early film developments. I've kept up with the film industry long enough to know that until a project is officially greenlit by the studio, anything can happen. And plenty of films are scrapped even after the greenlight (The Lone Ranger, which you mentioned, nearly came down to this). Don't get me wrong, I'd love for them to make a 5th Pirates. I just don't want to see anyone get their hopes too high only to see the film not happen.
  21. I wouldn't say the Jabba is exactly the same, but there are similarities. As for the Rancor, it's no different than the many as-yet-unreleased minifigures and creatures seen in the Lego SW video games. If it's ever produced, it might look the same and it might not. 'The Padawan Menace' came out nearly a year ago, hardly recent enough to say for certain that it is what the Rancor would look like.
  22. You would think so, yes. That's great news about Man of Steel sets too!
  23. I'm sure he doesn't. I check all the big movie news sites daily (Rotten Tomatoes, Collider, etc.) and there hasn't been any word on a new Pirates film for several months now.
  24. I definitely agree with you. I was instantly hooked when I saw the first pictures of Mines of Moria and (other than the buttload of stickers) it was a lot of fun to put together.
  25. I would love to see sets based on the games! A trio of minifigures based on the Elf, Man, and Dwarf from 'War in the North' would be epic.
