  1. Do you set up 5 legs, when it's enough to set up 4 or even 3 legs to support a table?
  2. We should build efficient models it terms of price/quality ratio. This is how it works in a real life when an engineer has to make a choice how to low cost and keep quality of the final product. P.S. After all, this is how natural selection works!
  3. Ok, I did. The real machine really has these small hookes everywhere!
  4. Oh, you're right! I'm sure it hasn't been spotted before!
  5. I also see several useless yellow pins with a hole on the boom...
  6. We still lack many medium parts like flat triangle panels. And I don't think it makes sense to create any parts longer than 15 studs. After all they must be stiff enough!
  7. Why? Those motorized functions were useless and unrealistic. I don't get the point of this!
  8. I can't imagine a novice, who is able to build a big and complex machine at the first attempt. You had better buy smaller wheels and build some small or medium sized model.
  9. I wouldn't pay a penny for 42095. And here are my last purchases: Lego City 60159 for $16 Lego City 60160 for $28 Lego City 60140 for $35 Yes, I collect when possible cheap Lego City sets to build a small Lego town in future.
  10. And even the fake engine has a very simple drivetrain, if I understand correctly.
  11. Can't imagine what would make me buy the empty car even for $100...
  12. Congratulations! Now try to build your own car without instructions!
  13. Actually you are free to choose any color scheme when building these education models. There are no strict rules.
  14. That's sad. However the grass-cutter on the photo looks promising!
  15. 42078 sealed for $92 (including delivery)
  16. Lego designers solved the "problem" 30 years ago! https://images.app.goo.gl/LPTGFE2AW54qfueS6
  17. Wow, thank you for the link! For that price (or even cheaper on sales) I might think about purchasing the set, even though I've never dealt with Lego programming.
  18. You're right. Last year I bought several Technic sets after a very long pause. Now I'm building a truck of my dreams, but it takes much time, because I'm trying to make it as perfect as possible considering Lego Technic standards of quality. It will be functional, simple but efficient, very robust and easy to control.
  19. Does your car have a remote control openable doors? Do you need the option in your car? The string-driven actuators are not robust at all, because thus they rely on gravitation, so actually the boom is loose if you try to lift it. I would make an RC claw if I built such an excavator.
  20. I'm sure your machine can destroy a doghouse if necessary!
  21. The author of the model got so many positive votes. So I was trying to freeze him out and shed light on the numerous issues that caught my eye as soon as I saw the excavator.
  22. Such beans wouldn't be stiff enough. Even 15 stud beams tend to bend under big pressure. I would rather get a bigger turning table as someone has mentioned in the topic.
