Should NASA sets be considered as licenced products like the 10283 Discovery ?

Lego Icons 10332 Medieval Town Square Discussion Thread
Khargeust replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yes, it was its coded name for a while. Never really understood precisely this term, despite my translation efforts to grasp its meaning. -
Maybe it's an ultimate monorail ! More seriouslly, could we really be treated with 2 Space sets in 2024 (plus 2 GWP apparently) ? I don't know, it's a special year for the spatial thematic anyway.
-
Why is everyone saying "Lego can't do that" because some trans-neon parts are retired? Why couldn't they recreate new ones? If one day we get a well done reboot of the 6989 Mega Core Magnetizer, then I could die in peace.
-
Thank you, I didn't search for it. I will first wait for 10391 to be or not to be Blacktron Renegade remake ! ;-)
-
I talked about my copy of the 40580 Blacktron Cruiser. No way I sold 10329 Eldorado Fortress !
-
40580 Blacktron Cruiser was so disappointing because of stickers. I manage to get one buying 10320 Eldorado Fortress in july but I sold it on secondary market. My regret was I didn't get the minifigurine. If 10391 is a remake of the Blacktron Renegade I sincerely hope they put the budget on printed parts only. You think we make them taking decisions ? ;-)
-
I'm so excited by these new perspectives of getting more retro vibes sets. Like a lot of you guys here I'm fonded of unlicenced classic themes and 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay get me back into LEGO after 15 years of "dark age".
-
You're right.
-
I think too it is the most probable option. I hope we will not be deceived. Maybe a remake of the Battrax in addition should be too much, even as a GWP. It would be three Blacktron I sets... They should cover other factions and Space LEGO Space timelines. So, it would makes sense that 10392 be Medieval Market ?
-
I can't see where the former information would be corrected.
-
Where did you get that information ? Have you seen this article : https://www.brickfanatics.com/five-sets-lego-moments-10391-space-remake Do you all think it would be a Renegade remake ?
-
Wow, just I saw the video, strange ! It could be an unexpecting happy coincidence. Or something scheduled, but it this case seems so natural.

Lego City 2023 Leaks, Rumours, Speculation And Discussion
Khargeust replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Can we expect 2024 City space sets will share the same aesthetic approach that the ones from this year ? Or will it be "reboot" ? I don't get these last ones since they're not "real Space sets" and have stickers but they do look cool and I quite like this mini wave. I wonder if I would regret if I miss to get them before their departure since the new city space sets will replace it next january. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Khargeust replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
LEGO has released several versions of Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter over the past 20 years. Why was it not the same for Jango Fett's Slave I since this ship is pretty iconic as Jango himself? -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Khargeust replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Yellow since flesh colored are reserved for licenced figs but this custom thing sounds very intriguing to me to the point where I wonder if this new set really has anything to do with a Space set as we understand it. Customization is intrinsic to LEGO, I don't understand why the emphasis is put on this feature, especially for Space where the minifigures often have helmets. Really, it raises questions. -
A few comments : On the principle that all this is confirmed, the arrival of the "Moments" sub-range at Icons looks like a godsend, because it means certainly that LEGO wishes to perpetuate the remakes of the classic sets that we have been lucky enough to have since 2020, in unifying them around a banner. "Moments" must be understood in the sense of "time of excellence", so if I understand correctly it is a question of emphasizing emblematic sets of the golden age LEGO like the short-lived Legends before. Regarding the 10391 Lego Moments: Space, and insofar as it would be a reboot of the 6954 Blacktron Renegade, I find it surprising that it is 25% more expensive than the 10497 Galaxy Explorer. Indeed, the two original sets have the same number of parts but the reboot of the Galaxy Explorer includes more than 250 additional parts compared to the number of parts announced for the 10391 Lego Moments: Space. So why not charge this one up to 75€? But what worries me the most is the potential presence of stickers because the 40580 Blacktron Cruiser had no printed parts, which would have been an advantageous indication of a future release of a new Blacktron set like 40567 Forest Hideout and 10305 Lion Knights' Castle with new shield and torso prints. Or there will be stickers, but in this case it will be without me because what is also the strength of these new vintage sets is the authentic "printed only" approach. But the strangest thing is the apparent possibility of customizing heads and hair is really strange and does not sound at all Blacktron! For me these two last points are really what cast doubt on a likely release of a new Blacktron set. Regarding the two "alien" sets. Can't we imagine these being related to City 2024 sets as set 60431 is named Space Rover with Aliens? Unless they're completely different aliens... Anyway, a lot of space related sets next year and I'm very excited that we can have new Space sets and classically inspired sets in general !!!

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Khargeust replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I just saw it. Also "includes a large black spaceship (not confirmed to be blacktron). Comes with 2 minifigures with different heads and hair for customization. Rumored to release in October but likely pushed to April 2024." It would make sense for it to be a Blacktron ship but in this case it would be 25% more expensive than the Galaxy Explorer proportional to the number of parts. Strange. But two things tell me that it probably won't be that: - the presence of stickers in the 40580 Blacktron Cruiser and no printed parts that could be use in a new set; - the possibility to customize figurines -
But his inclusion in the 10305 Castle was already weird although It doesn't bothered me.

The Love for Printed Pieces Thread/Sticker Resentment Thread
Khargeust replied to danth's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Since I get back in LEGO in 2020, I only collected stickers-free sets. It was painful not being able to keep the 40580. Maybe I'm obsessed but that's how it is!- 183 replies

Which are your TOP 10 Lego sets from 2022?
Khargeust replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It will be a top 5 because I only buy five items in 2022 (in multiple copies however) : 1. 10305 - Lion Knights' Castle 2. 10497 - Galaxy Explorer 3. 40567 - Forest Hideout 4. 71034 - Knight of the Yellow Castle 5. 71032 - Troubadour -
It is most likely I think... I would love to see them resurrect the halberd piece since I don't really like builded weapons. Like the one part axe, it has a unique look.

Although this mixing is the best way, I think they will also put some city space stuff inside. If the thing is real, they'll probably do it in the most eclectic way possible. But maybe not in the end as many new city space sets are planned !
